Az-Zalzalah (#99)

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا idhā zulzilatil-arḍu zilzālahā When the earth is rocked with a terrible quake
2
وَأَخْرَجَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ أَثْقَالَهَا wa-akhrajatil-arḍu athqālahā and discharges its burdens,
3
وَقَالَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مَا لَهَا waqālal-insānu mā lahā and man says, ‘What is the matter with her?’
4
يَوْمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا yawma-idhin tuḥaddithu akhbārahā On that day she will relate her chronicles
5
بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوْحَىٰ لَهَا bi-anna rabbaka awḥā lahā for her Lord will have inspired her.
6
يَوْمَئِذٍ يَصْدُرُ ٱلنَّاسُ أَشْتَاتًا لِّيُرَوْا۟ أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ yawma-idhiy yaṣdurun nāsu ashtātal liyuraw a`mālahum On that day, mankind will issue forth in various groups to be shown their deeds.
7
فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُۥ faman ya`mal mithqāla dharratin khayran yarah So whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it,
8
وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُۥ wa man ya`mal mithqāla dharratin sharran yarah and whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it.
