بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful.

إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا idhā zulzilatil-arḍu zilzālahā WHEN THE WORLD is shaken up by its cataclysm,
2
وَأَخْرَجَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ أَثْقَالَهَا wa-akhrajatil-arḍu athqālahā And the earth throws out its burdens,
3
وَقَالَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مَا لَهَا waqālal-insānu mā lahā And man enquires: "What has come over it?"
4
يَوْمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا yawma-idhin tuḥaddithu akhbārahā That day it will narrate its annals,
5
بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوْحَىٰ لَهَا bi-anna rabbaka awḥā lahā For your Lord will have commanded it.

يَوْمَئِذٍ يَصْدُرُ ٱلنَّاسُ أَشْتَاتًا لِّيُرَوْا۟ أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ yawma-idhiy yaṣdurun nāsu ashtātal liyuraw a`mālahum That day people will proceed separately to be shown their deeds.

فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُۥ faman ya`mal mithqāla dharratin khayran yarah Whosoever has done even an atom's weight of good will behold it;
8
وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُۥ wa man ya`mal mithqāla dharratin sharran yarah And whosoever has done even an atom's weight of evil will behold that.
