بِّسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful.

إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ فِى لَيْلَةِ ٱلْقَدْرِ innā anzalnāhu fī laylatil qadr TRULY WE REVEALED it on the Night of Determination.

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ wa mā adrāka mā laylatul qadr How will you know what the Night of Determination is?

لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ laylatul qadri khayrun min alfi shahr Better is the Night of Determination than a thousand months.

تَنَزَّلُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ tanazzalul malā-ikatu war rūḥu fīhā bi-idhni rabbihim min kulli amr On (this night) the angels and grace descend by the dispensation of their Lord, for settling all affairs.

سَلَـٰمٌ هِىَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ ٱلْفَجْرِ salāmun hiya ḥattā maṭla`il fajr It is peace till the dawning of the day.
