7
رَبِّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ ۖ إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِينَ rabbis samāwāti wal-arḍi wa mā baynahumā ۖ in kuntum mūqinīn The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, if you really do believe.

11
يَغْشَى ٱلنَّاسَ ۖ هَـٰذَا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ yaghshan nās ۖ hādhā `adhābun alīm Which would envelope mankind. That would be a grievous affliction.

أَنَّىٰ لَهُمُ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ وَقَدْ جَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مُّبِينٌ annā lahumudh dhikrā waqad jā-ahum rasūlun mubīn How can a warning benefit them? The Apostle who explained all things clearly had come to them,
14
ثُمَّ تَوَلَّوْا۟ عَنْهُ وَقَالُوا۟ مُعَلَّمٌ مَّجْنُونٌ thumma tawallaw `anhu waqālū mu`allamun majnūn But they turned away from him, and said: "He is well-instructed, (but) possessed."
15

17
وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَجَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ كَرِيمٌ walaqad fatannā qablahum qawma fir`awna wajā-ahum rasūlun karīm We had tried the people of Pharaoh before them. A respected prophet had come to them (saying):
18
أَنْ أَدُّوٓا۟ إِلَىَّ عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ an addū ilayya `ibādallāh ۖ innī lakum rasūlun amīn "Deliver the creatures of God to me. I am the trusted messenger sent to you.

21
وَإِن لَّمْ تُؤْمِنُوا۟ لِى فَٱعْتَزِلُونِ wa in lam tu-minū lī fa`tazilūn If you do not believe in me, leave me alone."
22
فَدَعَا رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ قَوْمٌ مُّجْرِمُونَ fada`ā rabbahu anna hā-ulā-i qawmun mujrimūn Then he called to his Lord: "These are a sinful people."

كَمْ تَرَكُوا۟ مِن جَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ kam tarakū min jannātin wa`uyūn How many gardens and fountains did they leave behind,
26
وَزُرُوعٍ وَمَقَامٍ كَرِيمٍ wazurū`in wa maqāmin karīm And fields and stately mansions,

29
فَمَا بَكَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ وَٱلْأَرْضُ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُنظَرِينَ famā bakat `alayhimus samā-u wal-arḍu wa mā kānū munẓarīn Neither did the heavens weep for them, nor the earth, nor were they granted respite.
30

33
وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ مَا فِيهِ بَلَـٰٓؤٌا۟ مُّبِينٌ wa-ātaynāhum minal-āyāti mā fīhi balā-un mubīn And sent them tokens to bring out the best in them.
34
