بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
1
يَا جَاعِلَ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ آيَتَيْنِ
yā jā`ilal layli wan nahāri-āyatayn
O You who made the night and the day as two signs
2
يَا مَنْ مَحَا آيَةَ اللَّيْلِ
yā man maḥā-āyatal layl
O You who darkened the sign of the night
3
وَجَعَلَ آيَةَ النَّهَارِ مُبْصِرَةً
waja`ala-āyatan nahāri mubṣirah
And made the sign of the day bright
4
لِتَبْتَغُوْا فَضْلًا مِنْهُ وَرِضْوَانًا
litabtaghū faḍlan minhu wariḍwānā
So that you may seek His bounty and pleasure
5
يَا مُفَصِّلَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ تَفْصِيلًا
yā mufaṣṣila kulli shay-in tafṣīlā
O You who distinguishes everything in detail
6
يَا مَاجِدُ يَا وَهَّابُ
yā mājidu yā wahhāb
O Glorious One, O Bestower
7
يَا اَللَّهُ يَا جَوَادُ
yā allāhu yā jawād
O Allah, O Generous
8
يَا اَللَّهُ يَا اَللَّهُ يَا اَللَّهُ
yā allāhu yā allāhu yā allāh
O Allah, O Allah, O Allah
9
لَكَ الْاَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَىٰ
lakal asmā-ul ḥusnā
To You belong the most beautiful names
10
وَالْاَمْثَالُ الْعُلْيَا
wal-amthālul `ulyā
And the highest examples
11
وَالْكِبْرِيَاءُ وَالْآلاَءُ
walkibriyā-u wal-ālā
And the greatness and bounties
12
اَسْئَلُكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
as-aluka an tuṣalliya `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
I ask You to send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
13
وَاَنْ تَجْعَلَ اسْمِيْ فِيْ هٰذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ فِيْ السُّعَدَاءِ
wa-an taj`alasmī fī hādhihil laylati fis su`adā
And to make my name in this night among the fortunate ones
14
وَرُوحِيْ مَعَ الشُّهَدَاءِ
warūḥī ma`ash shuhadā
And my soul among the martyrs
15
وَإِحْسَانِيْ فِيْ عِلِّيِّينَ
wa-iḥsānī fī `illiyyīn
And my good deeds in the highest places
16
وَإِسَاءَتِيْ مَغْفُورَةً
wa-isā-atī maghfūrah
And my sins forgiven
17
وَاَنْ تَهَبَ لِيْ يَقِينًا تُبَاشِرُ بِهِ قَلْبِي
wa-an tahaba lī yaqīnan tubāshiru bihi qalbī
And to grant me certainty that fills my heart
18
وَإِيـمَانًا يُذْهِبُ الشَّكَّ عَنِّي
wa-īmānan yudh-hibush shakka `annī
And faith that removes doubt from me
19
وَتُرْضِيَنِيْ بِمَا قَسَمْتَ لِي
watur-ḍiyanī bimā qasamta lī
And to make me pleased with what You have apportioned for me
20
وَ آتِنَا فِيْ الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً
wa ātinā fid dunyā ḥasanah
And grant us good in this world
21
وَفِيْ الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً
wafil-ākhirati ḥasanah
And good in the Hereafter
22
وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ الْحَرِيقِ
waqinā `adhāban nāril ḥarīq
And protect us from the punishment of the burning Fire
23
وَارْزُقْنِيْ فِيهَا ذِكْرَكَ وَشُكْرَكَ وَالرَّغْبَةَ إِلَيْكَ
war-zuqnī fīhā dhikraka washukraka war raghbata ilayk
And grant me in it Your remembrance, Your gratitude, and desire toward You
24
وَالْاِنَابَةَ وَالتَّوْفِيقَ لِمَا وَفَّقْتَ لَهُ مُحَمَّدًا وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمُ السَّلاَمُ
wal-inābata wat tawfīqa limā waffaqta lahu muḥammadan wa āli muḥammadin `alayhi wa`alayhimus salām
And repentance and success in what You made successful for Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, peace be upon him and them
