بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
1
يَا فَالِقَ الْاِصْبَاحِ
yā fāliqal iṣbāḥ
O Splitter of the dawn
2
وَجَاعِلَ اللَّيْلِ سَكَنًا
wajā`ilal layli sakanā
And the One who made the night for rest
3
وَالشَّمْسِ وَالْقَمَرِ حُسْبَانًا
wash shamsi walqamari ḥusbānā
And the sun and the moon for calculation
4
يَا عَزِيزُ يَا عَلِيمُ
yā `azīzu yā `alīm
O Mighty, O All-Knowing
5
يَا ذَا الْمَنِّ وَالطَّوْلِ
yā dhal manni waṭ ṭawl
O Possessor of Favor and Power
6
وَالْقُوَّةِ وَالْحَوْلِ
walquwwati walḥawl
And Strength and Might
7
وَالْفَضْلِ وَالْاِنْعَامِ
walfaḍli wal-in`ām
And Bounty and Blessing
8
وَالْجَلاَلِ وَالْاِكْرَامِ
waljalāli wal-ikrām
And Majesty and Honor
9
يَا اَللَّهُ يَا رَحْمٰنُ
yā allāhu yā raḥmān
O Allah, O Most Merciful
10
يَا اَللَّهُ يَا فَرْدُ يَا وِتْرُ
yā allāhu yā far-du yā witr
O Allah, O Unique, O Singular
11
يَا اَللَّهُ يَا ظَاهِرُ يَا بَاطِنُ
yā allāhu yā ẓāhiru yā bāṭin
O Allah, O Manifest, O Hidden
12
يَا حَيُّ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اَنْتَ
yā ḥayyu lā ilāha illā ant
O Ever-Living, there is no god but You
13
لَكَ الْاَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَىٰ
lakal asmā-ul ḥusnā
To You belong the Most Beautiful Names
14
وَالْاَمْثَالُ الْعُلْيَا
wal-amthālul `ulyā
And the Highest Examples
15
وَالْكِبْرِيَاءُ وَالْآلاَءُ
walkibriyā-u wal-ālā
And Greatness and Blessings
16
اَسْئَلُكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
as-aluka an tuṣalliya `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
I ask You to send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
17
وَاَنْ تَجْعَلَ اسْمِيْ فِيْ هٰذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ فِيْ السُّعَدَاءِ
wa-an taj`alasmī fī hādhihil laylati fis su`adā
And to make my name in this night among the fortunate ones
18
وَرُوحِيْ مَعَ الشُّهَدَاءِ
warūḥī ma`ash shuhadā
And my soul among the martyrs
19
وَإِحْسَانِيْ فِيْ عِلِّيِّينَ
wa-iḥsānī fī `illiyyīn
And my good deeds in 'Illiyyin (the highest place)
20
وَإِسَاءَتِيْ مَغْفُورَةً
wa-isā-atī maghfūrah
And my evil deeds forgiven
21
وَاَنْ تَهَبَ لِيْ يَقِينًا تُبَاشِرُ بِهِ قَلْبِي
wa-an tahaba lī yaqīnan tubāshiru bihi qalbī
And to grant me certainty that fills my heart
22
وَإِيـمَانًا يُذْهِبُ الشَّكَّ عَنِّي
wa-īmānan yudh-hibush shakka `annī
And faith that removes doubt from me
23
وَتُرْضِيَنِيْ بِمَا قَسَمْتَ لِي
watur-ḍiyanī bimā qasamta lī
And make me content with what You have allotted for me
24
وَ آتِنَا فِيْ الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً
wa ātinā fid dunyā ḥasanah
And grant us good in this world
25
وَفِيْ الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً
wafil-ākhirati ḥasanah
And good in the Hereafter
26
وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ الْحَرِيقِ
waqinā `adhāban nāril ḥarīq
And protect us from the punishment of the burning Fire
27
وَارْزُقْنِيْ فِيهَا ذِكْرَكَ وَشُكْرَكَ وَالرَّغْبَةَ إِلَيْكَ
war-zuqnī fīhā dhikraka washukraka war raghbata ilayk
And grant me in it Your remembrance and gratitude and desire for You
28
وَالْاِنَابَةَ وَالتَّوْفِيقَ لِمَا وَفَّقْتَ لَهُ مُحَمَّدًا وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمُ السَّلاَمُ
wal-inābata wat tawfīqa limā waffaqta lahu muḥammadan wa āli muḥammadin `alayhi wa`alayhimus salām
And repentance and success in what You granted success to Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, peace be upon him and them
