بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
1
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ قُلْتَ فِيْ كِتَابِكَ المُنْزَلِ
allāhumma innaka qulta fī kitābikal munzal
O Allah, You have said in Your revealed Book
2
شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِيْ أُنْزِلَ فِيْهِ القُرْآنُ
shahru ramaḍānal ladhī unzila fīhil qur-ān
The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Quran
3
هُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِنَ الهُدَى وَالفُرْقَانِ
hudal linnāsi wabayyinātin minal hudā wālfur-qān
A guidance for mankind and clear proofs of guidance and the criterion
4
فَعَظَّمْتَ حُرْمَةَ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ
fa`aẓẓamta ḥur-mata shahri ramaḍān
You have magnified the sanctity of the month of Ramadan
5
بِمَا أَنْزَلْتَ فِيْهِ مِنَ القُرْآنِ
bimā anzalta fīhi minal qur-ān
By what You revealed in it of the Quran
6
وَخَصَصْتَهُ بِلَيْلَةِ القَدْرِ
wakhaṣaṣtahu bilaylatil qadr
And You distinguished it with the Night of Power
7
وَجَعَلْتَهَا خَيْرًا مِنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ
waja`altahā khayran min alfi shahr
And made it better than a thousand months
8
اَللَّهُمَّ وَهٰذِهِ أَيَّامُ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ قَدِ انْقَضَتْ
allāhumma wahādhihi ayyāmu shahri ramaḍāna qadinqaḍat
O Allah, the days of the month of Ramadan have passed
9
وَلَيَالِيْهِ قَدْ تَصَرَّمَتْ
walayālīhi qad taṣarramat
And its nights have elapsed
10
وَقَدْ صِرْتُ يَا إِلٰهِيْ مِنْهُ إِلَى مَا أَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنِّي
waqad ṣir-tu yā ilāhī minhu ilā mā anta a`lamu bihi minnī
And I have reached, O my God, from it to a state which You know better than I do
11
وَأَحْصَى لِعَدَدِهِ مِنَ الخَلْقِ أَجْمَعِيْنَ
wa-aḥṣā li`adadihi minal khalqi ajma`īn
And You have counted its number more precisely than all creation
12
فَأَسْأَلُكَ بِمَا سَأَلَكَ بِهِ مَلَائِكَتُكَ المُقَرَّبُوْنَ
fa-as-aluka bimā sa-alaka bihi malā-ikatukal muqarrabūn
So I ask You by what Your closest angels have asked You
13
وَأَنْبِيَآؤُكَ المُرْسَلُوْنَ
wa-anbiyā-ukal mur-salūn
And Your sent prophets
14
وَعِبَادُكَ الصَّالِحُوْنَ
wa`ibādukaṣ ṣāliḥūn
And Your righteous servants
15
أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
an tuṣalliya `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
That You send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
16
وَأَنْ تَفُكَّ رَقَبَتِيْ مِنَ النَّارِ
wa-an tafukka raqabatī minan nār
And that You free my neck from the Fire
17
وَتُدْخِلَنِيْ الجَنَّةَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ
watudkhilanil jannata biraḥmatik
And admit me to Paradise by Your mercy
18
وَأَنْ تَتَفَضَّلَ عَلَيَّ بِعَفْوِكَ وَكَرَمِكَ
wa-an tatafaḍḍala `alayya bi`afwika wakaramik
And that You favor me with Your pardon and generosity
19
وَتَتَقَبَّلَ تَقَرُّبِي
watataqabbala taqarrubī
And accept my drawing near to You
20
وَتَسْتَجِيْبَ دُعَائِي
watastajība du`ā-ī
And answer my prayer
21
وَتَمُنَّ عَلَيَّ بِالْاَمْنِ يَوْمَ الخَوْفِ
watamunna `alayya bil amni yawmal khawf
And grant me security on the Day of Fear
22
مِنْ كُلِّ هَوْلٍ أَعْدَدْتَهُ لِيَوْمِ القِيَامَةِ
min kulli hawlin a`dadtahu liyawmil qiyāmah
From every terror You have prepared for the Day of Resurrection
23
إِلٰهِيْ وَأَعُوْذُ بِوَجْهِكَ الكَرِيْمِ
ilāhī wa-a`ūdhu biwajhikal karīm
My God, I seek refuge in Your Noble Face
24
وَبِجَلالِكَ العَظِيْمِ
wabijalālikal `aẓīm
And in Your Great Majesty
25
أَنْ يَّنْقَضِيَ أَيَّامُ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ وَلَيَالِيْهِ
ay yanqaḍiya ayyāmu shahri ramaḍāna walayālīh
That the days and nights of the month of Ramadan should end
26
وَلَكَ قِبَلِيْ تَبِعَةٌ أَوْ ذَنْبٌ تُؤَاخِذُنِيْ بِهِ
walaka qibalī tabi`atun aw dhanbun tu-ākhidhunī bih
While I still have a responsibility or sin for which You will hold me accountable
27
أَوْ خَطِيْئَةٌ تُرِيْدُ أَنْ تَقْتَصَّهَا مِنِّيْ لَمْ تَغْفِرْهَا لِي
aw khaṭī-atun turīdu an taqtaṣṣahā minnī lam taghfir-hā lī
Or a mistake that You want to exact from me which You have not forgiven me
28
سَيِّدِيْ سَيِّدِيْ سَيِّدِي
sayyidī sayyidī sayyidī
My Master, my Master, my Master
29
أَسْأَلُكَ يَا لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
as-aluka yā lā ilāha illā ant
I ask You, O there is no god but You
30
إِذْ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
idh lā ilāha illā ant
Since there is no god but You
31
إِنْ كُنْتَ رَضِيْتَ عَنِّيْ فِيْ هٰذَا الشَّهْرِ
in kunta raḍīta `annī fī hādhash shahr
If You have been pleased with me in this month
32
فَازْدَدْ عَنِّيْ رِضًا
fazdad `annī riḍā
Then increase Your pleasure with me
33
وَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ رَضِيْتَ عَنِّي
wa-in lam takun raḍīta `annī
And if You have not been pleased with me
34
فَمِنَ الْآنَ فَارْضَ عَنِّي
faminal-āna far-ḍa `annī
Then from now be pleased with me
35
يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ
yā ar-ḥamar rāḥimīn
O Most Merciful of the merciful
36
يَا اَللَّهُ يَا أَحَدُ يَا صَمَدُ
yā allāhu yā aḥadu yā ṣamad
O Allah, O One, O Eternal
37
يَا مَنْ لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُوْلَدْ
yā man lam yalid walam yūlad
O He who begets not, nor was He begotten
38
وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ
walam yakun lahu kufuwan aḥad
And there is none like unto Him
Repeat the following 3 times:
39
يَا مُلَيِّنَ الحَدِيْدِ لِدَاوُدَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ
yā mulayyinal ḥadīdi lidāwuda `alayhis salām
O Softener of iron for David, peace be upon him
40
يَا كَاشِفَ الضُّرِّ وَالكُرَبِ العِظَامِ عَنْ أَيُّوْبَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ
yā kāshifaḍ ḍurri wālkurabil `iẓāmi `an ayyūba `alayhis salām
O Remover of harm and great afflictions from Job, peace be upon him
41
أَيْ مُفَرِّجَ هَمِّ يَعْقُوْبَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ
ay mufarrija hammi ya`qūba `alayhis salām
O Reliever of the sorrow of Jacob, peace be upon him
42
أَيْ مُنَفِّسَ غَمِّ يُوْسُفَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ
ay munaffisa ghammi yūsufa `alayhis salām
O Dispeller of the grief of Joseph, peace be upon him
43
صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
Send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
44
كَمَا أَنْتَ أَهْلُهُ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَجْمَعِيْنَ
kamā anta ahluhu an tuṣalliya `alayhim ajma`īn
As You are worthy to send blessings upon them all
45
وَافْعَلْ بِيْ مَا أَنْتَ أَهْلُهُ
waf`al bī mā anta ahluh
And do with me what You are worthy of doing
46
وَلَا تَفْعَلْ بِيْ مَا أَنَا أَهْلُهُ
walā taf`al bī mā ana ahluh
And do not do with me what I am worthy of
