1
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدِ ابْنِ عَلِيٍّ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadibni `aliyy
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad the son of Ali
2
اَلْإِمَامِ التَّقِيِّ النَّقِيِّ
al imāmit taqiyyin naqiyy
The Imam who is pious and pure
3
اَلرَّضِيِّ الْمَرْضِيِّ
ar raḍiyyil mar-ḍiyy
The pleasing and the pleased with
4
وَحُجَّتِكَ عَلٰى مَنْ فَوْقَ الْأَرْضِ
waḥujjatika `alā man fawqal ar-ḍ
And Your proof upon those who are on the earth
5
وَمَنْ تَحْتَ الثَّرَى
waman taḥtath tharā
And those who are beneath the soil
6
صَلَاةً كَثِيرَةً
ṣalātan kathīrah
Abundant blessings
7
نَامِيَةً زَاكِيَةً مُبَارَكَةً
nāmiyatan zākiyatan mubārakah
Increasing, purifying, and blessed
8
مُتَوَاصِلَةً مُتَرَادِفَةً مُتَوَاتِرَةً
mutawāṣilatan mutarādifatan mutawātirah
Continuous, successive, and frequent
9
كَأَفْضَلِ مَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْ أَوْلِيَائِكَ
ka-afḍali mā ṣallayta `alā aḥadin min awliyā-ik
Like the best of what You have blessed any of Your close servants
10
وَالسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ اللَّهِ
was salāmu `alayka yā waliyyallāh
And peace be upon you, O friend of Allah
11
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نُورَ اللَّهِ
as salāmu `alayka yā nūrallāh
Peace be upon you, O light of Allah
12
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حُجَّةَ اللَّهِ
as salāmu `alayka yā ḥujjatallāh
Peace be upon you, O proof of Allah
13
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا إِمَامَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
as salāmu `alayka yā imāmal mu-minīn
Peace be upon you, O leader of the believers
14
وَوَارِثَ عِلْمِ النَّبِيِّينَ
wawāritha `ilmin nabiyyīn
And inheritor of the knowledge of the Prophets
15
وَسُلَالَةَ الْوَصِيِّينَ
wasulālatal waṣiyyīn
And descendant of the successors
16
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نُوْرَ اللَّهِ فِيْ ظُلُمَاتِ الْأَرْضِ
as salāmu `alayka yā nūrallāhi fī ẓulumātil ar-ḍ
Peace be upon you, O light of Allah in the darkness of the earth
17
أَتَيْتُكَ زَائِرًا
ataytuka zā-irā
I have come to visit you
18
عَارِفًا بِحَقِّكَ
`ārifan biḥaqqik
Recognizing your right
19
مُعَادِيًا لِأَعْدَائِكَ
mu`ādiyan li-a`dā-ik
Being an enemy to your enemies
20
مُوَالِيًا لِأَوْلِيَائِكَ
muwāliyan li-awliyā-ik
Being loyal to your friends
21
فَاشْفَعْ لِيْ عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ
fashfa` lī `inda rabbik
So intercede for me with your Lord
