اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا زَيْنَ العَابِدِيْنَ
as salāmu `alayka yā zaynal `ābidīn
Peace be upon you, O adornment of the worshippers

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا زَيْنَ المُتَهَجِّدِيْنَ
as salāmu `alayka yā zaynal mutahajjidīn
Peace be upon you, O adornment of those who pray at night
3
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا إِمَامَ المُتَّقِينَ
as salāmu `alayka yā imāmal muttaqīn
Peace be upon you, O leader of the pious
4
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا دُرَّةَ الصَّالِحِيْنَ
as salāmu `alayka yā durrataṣ ṣāliḥīn
Peace be upon you, O pearl of the righteous
5
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ المُسْلِمِيْنَ
as salāmu `alayka yā waliyyal muslimīn
Peace be upon you, O guardian of the Muslims
6
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا قُرَّةَ عَيْنِ النَّاظِرِينَ العَارِفِينَ
as salāmu `alayka yā qurrata `aynin nāẓirīnal `ārifīn
Peace be upon you, O delight of the eyes of those who observe and know

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خَلَفَ السَّابِقِينَ
as salāmu `alayka yā khalafas sābiqīn
Peace be upon you, O successor of the predecessors
8
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَصِيَّ الوَصِيِّينَ
as salāmu `alayka yā waṣiyyal waṣiyyīn
Peace be upon you, O trustee of the trustees
9
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خَازِنَ وَصَايَا المُرْسَلِينَ
as salāmu `alayka yā khāzina waṣāyal mur-salīn
Peace be upon you, O keeper of the testaments of the messengers
10
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ضَوْءَ المُسْتَوْحِشِينَ
as salāmu `alayka yā ḍaw-al mustawḥishīn
Peace be upon you, O light for those in desolation
11
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سِرَاجَ المُرْتَاضِينَ
as salāmu `alayka yā sirājal mur-tāḍīn
Peace be upon you, O lamp of the spiritual seekers
12
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نُورَ المُجْتَهِدِيْنَ
as salāmu `alayka yā nūral mujtahidīn
Peace be upon you, O light of the diligent ones
13
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ذُخْرَ المُتَعَبِّدِيْنَ
as salāmu `alayka yā dhukhral muta`abbidīn
Peace be upon you, O treasure of the devout worshippers
14
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مِصْبَاحَ العَالَمِيْنَ
as salāmu `alayka yā miṣbāḥal `ālamīn
Peace be upon you, O lamp of the worlds
15
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سَفِينَةَ العِلْمِ
as salāmu `alayka yā safīnatal `ilm
Peace be upon you, O ark of knowledge
16
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سَكِينَةَ الحِلْمِ
as salāmu `alayka yā sakīnatal ḥilm
Peace be upon you, O tranquility of forbearance
17
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مِيزَانَ القَصَاصِ
as salāmu `alayka yā mīzānal qaṣāṣ
Peace be upon you, O scale of justice
18
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سَفِينَةَ الخَلاصِ
as salāmu `alayka yā safīnatal khalāṣ
Peace be upon you, O ship of salvation
19
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بَحْرَ النَّدَى
as salāmu `alayka yā baḥran nadā
Peace be upon you, O sea of generosity
20
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ بَدْرَ الدُّجَى
as salāmu `alayka badrad dujā
Peace be upon you, O full moon in darkness
21
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا الْاَوَّاهُ الحَلِيمُ
as salāmu `alayka ayyuhal awwāhul ḥalīm
Peace be upon you, O the one who sighs (in devotion) and the forbearing
22
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُهَا الصَّابِرُ الحَكِيمُ
as salāmu `alayka ayuhaṣ ṣābirul ḥakīm
Peace be upon you, O patient and wise one
23
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَئِيسَ البَكَّائِينِ
as salāmu `alayka yā ra-īsal bakkā-īn
Peace be upon you, O chief of those who weep (for God)
24
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مِصْبَاحَ المُؤْمِنِيْنَ
as salāmu `alayka yā miṣbāḥal mu-minīn
Peace be upon you, O lamp of the believers
25
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ
as salāmu `alayka yā mawlāya yā abā muḥammad
Peace be upon you, O my master, Abu Muhammad
26
أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ حُجَّةُ اللَّهِ وَابْنُ حُجَّتِهِ
ash-hadu annaka ḥujjatullāhi wabnu ḥujjatih
I bear witness that you are the proof of Allah and the son of His proof
27
وَأَبُوْ حُجَجِهِ
wa-abū ḥujajih
And the father of His proofs
28
وَابْنُ أَمِينِهِ وَأَبُوْ أُمَنَائِهِ
wabnu amīnihi wa-abū umanā-ih
And the son of His trustee and the father of His trustees
29
وَأَنَّكَ نَاصَحْتَ فِيْ عِبَادَةِ رَبِّكَ
wa-annaka nāṣaḥta fī `ibādati rabbik
And that you were sincere in the worship of your Lord
30
وَسَارَعْتَ فِيْ مَرْضَاتِهِ
wasāra`ta fī mar-ḍātih
And you hastened to seek His pleasure
31
وَخَيَّبْتَ أَعْدَاءَهُ
wakhayyabta a`dā-ah
And you disappointed His enemies
32
وَسَرَرْتَ أَوْلِيَاءَهُ
wasarar-ta awliyā-ah
And you brought joy to His friends
33
أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ قَدْ عَبَدْتَ اللَّهَ حَقَّ عِبَادَتِهِ
ash-hadu annaka qad `abadtallāha ḥaqqa `ibādatih
I bear witness that you worshipped Allah with true worship
34
وَاتَّقَيْتَهُ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ
wattaqaytahu ḥaqqa tuqātih
And you feared Him with true fear
35
وَأَطَعْتَهُ حَقَّ طَاعَتِهِ حَتَّى أَتَاكَ اليَقِينُ
wa-aṭa`tahu ḥaqqa ṭā`atihi ḥattā atākal yaqīn
And you obeyed Him with true obedience until certainty (death) came to you
36
فَعَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا بْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أَفْضَلُ التَّحِيَّةِ
fa`alayka yā mawlāya yabna rasūlillāhi afḍalut taḥiyyah
So upon you, O my master, O son of the Messenger of Allah, be the best of greetings
37
وَالسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
was salāmu `alayka waraḥmatullāhi wabarakātuh
And peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings
