At the door of the Hai'r, you may stop and say the following words:

اَللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيْرًا
allāhu akbaru kabīrā
Allah is the Greatest, immensely great
2
وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كَثِيْرًا
walḥamdu lillāhi kathīrā
And abundant praise is for Allah
3
وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيْلًا
wasubḥānallāhi bukratan wa-aṣīlā
And glory be to Allah in the morning and evening
4
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِيْ هَدَانَا لِهٰذَا
al ḥamdu lillāhil ladhī hadānā lihādhā
All praise is for Allah who guided us to this
5
وَمَا كُنَّا لِنَهْتَدِيَ لَوْ لَا أَنْ هَدَانَا اللَّهُ
wamā kunnā linahtadiya law lā an hadānallāh
And we would not have been guided had Allah not guided us
6
لَقَدْ جَاءَتْ رُسُلُ رَبِّنَا بِالْحَقِّ
laqad jā-at rusulu rabbinā bil ḥaqq
Indeed, the messengers of our Lord came with the truth
Then, you should say the following words:

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُوْلَ اللَّهِ
as salāmu `alayka yā rasūlallāh
Peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah
8
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ
as salāmu `alayka yā nabiyyallāh
Peace be upon you, O Prophet of Allah
9
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خَاتَمَ النَّبِيِّيْنَ
as salāmu `alayka yā khātaman nabiyyīn
Peace be upon you, O Seal of the Prophets
10
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سَيِّدَ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ
as salāmu `alayka yā sayyidal mur-salīn
Peace be upon you, O Master of the Messengers
11
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حَبِيْبَ اللَّهِ
as salāmu `alayka yā ḥabīballāh
Peace be upon you, O Beloved of Allah
12
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَمِيْرَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
as salāmu `alayka yā amīral mu-minīn
Peace be upon you, O Commander of the Faithful
13
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سَيِّدَ الْوَصِيِّيْنَ
as salāmu `alayka yā sayyidal waṣiyyīn
Peace be upon you, O Master of the Successors
14
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا قَائِدَ الْغُرِّ الْمُحَجَّلِيْنَ
as salāmu `alayka yā qā-idal ghurril muḥajjalīn
Peace be upon you, O Leader of the Resplendent
15
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ فَاطِمَةَ
as salāmu `alayka yabna fāṭimah
Peace be upon you, O son of Fatima
16
سَيِّدَةِ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
sayyidati nisā-il `ālamīn
The leader of the women of all worlds
17
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى الْأَئِمَّةِ مِنْ وُلْدِكَ
as salāmu `alayka wa`alal a-immati min wuldik
Peace be upon you and upon the Imams from your descendants
18
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَصِيَّ أَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
as salāmu `alayka yā waṣiyya amīril mu-minīn
Peace be upon you, O successor of the Commander of the Faithful
19
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا الصِّدِّيْقُ الشَّهِيْدُ
as salāmu `alayka ayyuhaṣ ṣiddīqush shahīd
Peace be upon you, O truthful martyr
20
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا مَلَائِكَةَ اللَّهِ
as salāmu `alaykum yā malā-ikatallāh
Peace be upon you, O angels of Allah
21
اَلْمُقِيْمِيْنَ فِيْ هٰذَا الْمَقَامِ الشَّرِيْفِ
al muqīmīna fī hādhal maqāmish sharīf
Who reside in this noble station
22
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا مَلَائِكَةَ رَبِّيْ
as salāmu `alaykum yā malā-ikata rabbī
Peace be upon you, O angels of my Lord
23
اَلْمُحْدِقِيْنَ بِقَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ
al muḥdiqīna biqabril ḥusayni `alayhis salām
Who surround the grave of Husayn, peace be upon him
24
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنِّيْ أَبَدًا
as salāmu `alaykum minnī abadā
Peace be upon you from me forever
25
مَا بَقِيْتُ وَبَقِيَ اللَّيْلُ وَالنَّهَارُ
mā baqītu wabaqiyal laylu wan nahār
As long as I remain and as long as night and day remain
You should then say these words:

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ
as salāmu `alayka yā abā `abdillāh
Peace be upon you, O Abu Abdullah
27
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ رَسُوْلِ اللَّهِ
as salāmu `alayka yabna rasūlillāh
Peace be upon you, O son of the Messenger of Allah
28
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ أَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
as salāmu `alayka yabna amīril mu-minīn
Peace be upon you, O son of the Commander of the Faithful
29
عَبْدُكَ وَابْنُ عَبْدِكَ وَابْنُ أَمَتِكَ
`abduka wabnu `abdika wabnu amatik
Your servant, the son of your servant, and the son of your maidservant
30
اَلْمُقِرُّ بِالرِّقِّ وَالتَّارِكُ لِلْخِلَافِ عَلَيْكُمْ
al muqirru birriqqi wat tāriku lilkhilāfi `alaykum
Who acknowledges servitude and abandons opposition to you
31
وَالْمُوَالِيْ لِوَلِيِّكُمْ وَالْمُعَادِيْ لِعَدُوِّكُمْ
walmuwālī liwaliyyikum walmu`ādī li`aduwwikum
Who allies with your allies and opposes your enemies
32
قَصَدَ حَرَمَكَ وَاسْتَجَارَ بِمَشْهَدِكَ
qaṣada ḥaramaka wastajāra bimash-hadik
Has sought your sanctuary and sought protection at your shrine
33
وَتَقَرَّبَ إِلَيْكَ بِقَصْدِكَ
wataqarraba ilayka biqaṣdik
And draws near to you by intending your presence
34
أَأَدْخُلُ يَا رَسُوْلَ اللَّهِ
a-adkhulu yā rasūlallāh
May I enter, O Messenger of Allah?
35
أَأَدْخُلُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ
a-adkhulu yā nabiyyallāh
May I enter, O Prophet of Allah?
36
أَأَدْخُلُ يَا أَمِيْرَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
a-adkhulu yā amīral mu-minīn
May I enter, O Commander of the Faithful?
37
أَأَدْخُلُ يَا سَيِّدَ الْوَصِيِّيْنَ
a-adkhulu yā sayyidal waṣiyyīn
May I enter, O Master of the Successors?
38
أَأَدْخُلُ يَا فَاطِمَةَ سَيِّدَةِ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
a-adkhulu yā fāṭimata sayyidati nisā-il `ālamīn
May I enter, O Fatima, leader of the women of all worlds?
39
أَأَدْخُلُ يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ
a-adkhulu yā mawlāya yā abā `abdillāh
May I enter, O my master, O Abu Abdullah?
40
أَأَدْخُلُ يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا بْنَ رَسُوْلِ اللَّهِ
a-adkhulu yā mawlāya yabna rasūlillāh
May I enter, O my master, O son of the Messenger of Allah?
If you feel that your heart has become submissive and your eyes have become tearful, then that will be the sign of permission to enter. You then should enter and say these words:

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الْوَاحِدِ الْأَحَدِ
al ḥamdu lillāhil wāḥidil aḥad
Praise be to Allah, the One, the Unique
42
اَلْفَرْدِ الصَّمَدِ
al far-diṣ ṣamad
The Individual, the Eternal
43
اَلَّذِيْ هَدَانِيْ لِوِلَايَتِكَ
al ladhī hadānī liwilāyatik
Who guided me to your guardianship
44
وَخَصَّنِيْ بِزِيَارَتِكَ
wakhaṣṣanī biziyāratik
And honored me with visiting you
45
وَسَهَّلَ لِيْ قَصْدَكَ
wasahhala lī qaṣdak
And made it easy for me to seek your presence
