1
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّيْ اَسْتَوْدِعُكَ الْيَوْمَ نَفْسِيْ وَ اَهْلِيْ
allāhumma innī astawdi`ukal yawma nafsī wa ahlī
O Allah, I beseech You on this day to accept as trusts with You my self, my family members,

وَمَالِيْ وَ وَلَدِيْ
wamālī wa waladī
my property, my children,
3
وَكُلَّ مَنْ كَانَ مِنِّيْ بِسَبِيْلٍ
wakulla man kāna minnī bisabīl
whatever belongs to me, and whatever for which I am responsible,
4
اَلشَّاهِدَ مِنْهُمْ وَالْغَائِبَ
ash shāhida minhum walghā-ib
the present and the absent.
5
اَللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْنَا بِحِفْظِ الْإِيْـمَانِ وَاحْفَظْ عَلَيْنَا
allāhummaḥfaẓnā biḥifẓil īmāni waḥfaẓ `alaynā
O Allah, [please do] protect us with the protection of faith and safeguard us.

اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنَا فِيْ حِرْزِكَ
allāhummaj`alnā fī ḥir-zik
O Allah, [please do] make us under Your shelter,
7
وَلَا تَسْلُبْنَا نِعْمَتَكَ
walā taslubnā ni`matak
do not deprive us of Your bounty,
8
وَلَا تُغَيِّرْ مَا بِنَا مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ وَعَافِيَةٍ
walā tughayyir mā binā min ni`matin wa`āfiyah
do not change the bliss and good health that we are enjoying,
9
وَزِدْنَا مِنْ فَضْلِكَ
wazidnā min faḍlik
and provide us with more favor of You.
10
إِنَّا إِلَيْكَ رَاغِبُوْنَ
innā ilayka rāghibūn
Indeed, we desire for You.
You may then leave your house while you are in a state of submission. You may repeat as many times as possible the following statements:
11
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ
lā ilāha illallāh
There is no god save Allah.
12
اَللَّهُ اَكْبَرُ
allāhu akbar
Allah is the Most Great.
13
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ
al ḥamdu lillāh
All praise be to Allah.
