1
اَللَّهُمَّ اشْرَحْ بِالْقُرْآنِ صَدْرِيْ
allāhummashraḥ bil qur-āni ṣadrī
O Allah, expand my chest through the Quran
2
وَاسْتَعْمِلْ بِالْقُرْآنِ بَدَنِيْ
wasta`mil bil qur-āni badanī
And employ my body through the Quran
3
وَنَوِّرْ بِالْقُرْآنِ بَصَرِيْ
wanawwir bil qur-āni baṣarī
And illuminate my sight through the Quran
4
وَأَطْلِقْ بِالْقُرْآنِ لِسَانِيْ
wa-aṭliq bil qur-āni lisānī
And loosen my tongue through the Quran
5
وَأَعِنِّيْ عَلَيْهِ مَا أَبْقَيْتَنِيْ
wa-a`innī `alayhi mā abqaytanī
And help me with it as long as You keep me alive
6
فَإِنَّهُ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِكَ
fa-innahu lā ḥawla walā quwwata illā bik
For verily there is no might nor power except through You
