اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ آدَمَ صَفْوَةِ اللَّهِ
as salāmu `alayka yā wāritha-ādama ṣafwatillāh
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Adam, the chosen one of Allah
2
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ نُوحٍ أَمِينِ اللَّهِ
as salāmu `alayka yā wāritha nūḥin amīnillāh
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Noah, the trustee of Allah
3
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلِ اللَّهِ
as salāmu `alayka yā wāritha ibrāhīma khalīlillāh
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Abraham, the friend of Allah
4
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ مُوسٰى كَلِيمِ اللَّهِ
as salāmu `alayka yā wāritha mūsā kalīmillāh
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Moses, the one who spoke to Allah
5
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ عِيسٰى رُوحِ اللَّهِ
as salāmu `alayka yā wāritha `īsā rūḥillāh
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Jesus, the spirit of Allah
6
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ مُحَمَّدٍ
as salāmu `alayka yā wāritha muḥammad
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Muhammad
7
صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ حَبِيبِ اللَّهِ
ṣallallāhu `alayhi wa ālihi ḥabībillāh
May Allah's blessings be upon him and his family, the beloved of Allah
8
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ عَلِيٍّ حُجَّةِ اللَّهِ
as salāmu `alayka yā wāritha `aliyyin ḥujjatillāh
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Ali, the proof of Allah
9
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا الْوَصِيُّ الْبَرُّ التَّقِيُّ
as salāmu `alayka ayyuhal waṣiyyul barrut taqiyy
Peace be upon you, O righteous and pious successor
10
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ثَارَ اللَّهِ وَابْنَ ثَارِهِ وَالْوِتْرَ الْمَوْتُورَ
as salāmu `alayka yā thārallāhi wabna thārihi walwitral mawtūr
Peace be upon you, O vengeance of Allah, son of His vengeance, and the solitary one who was wronged
11
أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ قَدْ أَقَمْتَ الصَّلاةَ
ash-hadu annaka qad aqamtaṣ ṣalāh
I bear witness that you established prayer
12
وَ آتَيْتَ الزَّكَاةَ
wa ātaytaz zakāh
And gave the poor-rate (zakat)
13
وَأَمَرْتَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ
wa-amar-ta bil ma`rūf
And enjoined what is good
14
وَنَهَيْتَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ
wanahayta `anil munkar
And forbade what is evil
15
وَجَاهَدْتَ فِيْ اللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِ
wajāhadta fillāhi ḥaqqa jihādih
And strived in the way of Allah with true striving
16
حَتَّى اسْتُبِيحَ حَرَمُكَ وَقُتِلْتَ مَظْلُومًا
ḥattastubīḥa ḥaramuka waqutilta maẓlūmā
Until your sanctuary was violated and you were killed unjustly
17
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِاللَّهِ
as salāmu `alayka yā abā `abdillāh
Peace be upon you, O Abu Abdullah
18
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ
as salāmu `alayka yabna rasūlillāh
Peace be upon you, O son of the Messenger of Allah
19
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ سَيِّدِ الْوَصِيِّينَ
as salāmu `alayka yabna sayyidil waṣiyyīn
Peace be upon you, O son of the master of successors
20
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ فَاطِمَةَ الزَّهْرَاءِ
as salāmu `alayka yabna fāṭimataz zahrā
Peace be upon you, O son of Fatima Al-Zahra
21
سَيِّدَةِ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
sayyidati nisā-il `ālamīn
The leader of the women of all worlds
22
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بَطَلَ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ
as salāmu `alayka yā baṭalal muslimīn
Peace be upon you, O hero of Muslims
23
يَا مَوْلَايَ
yā mawlāy
O my master
24
أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ كُنْتَ نُورًا فِيْ الْأَصْلاَبِ الشَّامِخَةِ
ash-hadu annaka kunta nūran fil aṣlābish shāmikhah
I bear witness that you were a light in the lofty loins
25
وَالْأَرْحَامِ الْمُطَهَّرَةِ
wal-ar-ḥāmil muṭahharah
And in the purified wombs
26
لَمْ تُنَجِّسْكَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةُ بِأَنْجَاسِهَا
lam tunajjiskal jāhiliyyatu bi-anjāsihā
The ignorance of pre-Islamic times did not defile you with its impurities
27
وَلَمْ تُلْبِسْكَ مِنْ مُدْلَهِمَّاتِ ثِيَابِهَا
walam tulbiska min mudlahimmāti thiyābihā
Nor did it clothe you with its dark garments
28
وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ مِنْ دَعَائِمِ الدِّينِ
wa-ash-hadu annaka min da`ā-imid dīn
And I bear witness that you are among the pillars of religion
29
وَأَرْكَانِ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ
wa-ar-kānil muslimīn
And the supports of Muslims
30
وَمَعْقِلِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
wama`qilil mu-minīn
And the stronghold of believers
31
وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ الْإِمَامُ الْبَرُّ التَّقِيُّ الرَّضِيُّ
wa-ash-hadu annakal imāmul barrut taqiyyur raḍiyy
And I bear witness that you are the righteous, pious, and pleasing Imam
32
اَلزَّكِيُّ الْهَادِيْ الْمَهْدِيُّ
az zakiyyul hādil mahdiyy
The pure, the guide, the guided one
33
وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ الْأَئِمَّةَ مِنْ وُلْدِكَ
wa-ash-hadu annal a-immata min wuldik
And I bear witness that the Imams from your offspring
34
كَلِمَةُ التَّقْوٰى وَأَعْلاَمُ الْهُدىٰ
kalimatut taqwā wa-a`lāmul hudā
Are the word of piety and the banners of guidance
35
وَالْعُرْوَةُ الْوُثْقٰى
wal`ur-watul wuthqā
And the strongest handhold
36
وَالْحُجَّةُ عَلَى أَهْلِ الدُّنْيَا
walḥujjatu `alā ahlid dunyā
And the proof over the people of this world
37
إِنَّا لِلّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
innā lillāhi wa-innā ilayhi rāji`ūn
Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return
38
يَا مَوْلَايَ أَنَا مُوَالٍ لِوَلِيِّكُمْ
yā mawlāya ana muwālin liwaliyyikum
O my master, I am loyal to your friend
39
وَمُعَادٍ لِعَدُوِّكُمْ
wamu`ādin li`aduwwikum
And enemy to your enemy
40
وَأَنَا بِكُمْ مُؤْمِنٌ وَبِإِيَابِكُمْ
wa-ana bikum mu-minun wabi-iyābikum
And I believe in you and in your return
41
مُوقِنٌ بِشَرَايِعِ دِينِي
mūqinun bisharāyi`i dīnī
Certain in the laws of my religion
42
وَخَوَاتِيمِ عَمَلِي
wakhawātīmi `amalī
And the conclusion of my deeds
43
وَقَلْبِيْ لِقَلْبِكُمْ سِلْمٌ
waqalbī liqalbikum silm
My heart is at peace with your heart
44
وَأَمْرِيْ لِأَمْرِكُمْ مُتَّبِعٌ
wa-amrī li-amrikum muttabi`
And my affairs follow your command
45
يَا مَوْلَايَ أَتَيْتُكَ خَائِفًا فَآمِنِّي
yā mawlāya ataytuka khā-ifan fa-āminnī
O my master, I have come to you fearful, so grant me security
46
وَأَتَيْتُكَ مُسْتَجِيرًا فَأَجِرْنِي
wa-ataytuka mustajīran fa-ajir-nī
And I have come to you seeking protection, so protect me
47
وَأَتَيْتُكَ فَقِيرًا فَأَغْنِنِي
wa-ataytuka faqīran fa-aghninī
And I have come to you poor, so enrich me
48
سَيِّدِيْ وَمَوْلَايَ
sayyidī wamawlāy
My leader and my master
49
أَنْتَ مَوْلَايَ حُجَّةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الخَلْقِ أَجْمَعِينَ
anta mawlāya ḥujjatullāhi `alal khalqi ajma`īn
You are my master, the proof of Allah over all creation
50
آمَنْتُ بِسِرِّكُمْ وَعَلانِيَتِكُمْ
āmantu bisirrikum wa`alāniyatikum
I believe in your secret and your open matters
51
وَبِظَاهِرِكُمْ وَبَاطِنِكُمْ
wabiẓāhirikum wabāṭinikum
And in your outer and inner aspects
52
وَأَوَّلِكُمْ وَاخِرِكُمْ
wa-awwalikum wākhirikum
And in your first and your last
53
وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ التَّالِيْ لِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ وَأَمِيْنُ اللَّهِ
wa-ash-hadu annakat tālī likitābillāhi wa-amīnullāh
And I bear witness that you are the follower of Allah's Book and the trustee of Allah
54
اَلدَّاعِيْ إِلَى اللَّهِ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَالْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ
ad dā`ī ilallāhi bil ḥikmati walmaw`iẓatil ḥasanah
The caller to Allah with wisdom and good exhortation
55
لَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً ظَلَمَتْكَ
la`anallāhu ummatan ẓalamatk
May Allah curse the nation that oppressed you
56
وَلَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً سَمِعَتْ بِذٰلِكَ فَرَضِيَتْ بِهِ
wala`anallāhu ummatan sami`at bidhālika faraḍiyat bih
And may Allah curse the nation that heard of this and was pleased with it
Ziarat of Hazrat Ali Akbar [A]
57
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ اللَّهِ
as salāmu `alayka yā waliyyallāh
Peace be upon you, O friend of Allah
58
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ
as salāmu `alayka yabna rasūlillāh
Peace be upon you, O son of the Messenger of Allah
59
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّينَ
as salāmu `alayka yabna khātamin nabiyyīn
Peace be upon you, O son of the Seal of Prophets
60
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ فَاطِمَةَ
as salāmu `alayka yabna fāṭimah
Peace be upon you, O son of Fatima
61
سَيِّدَةِ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
sayyidati nisā-il `ālamīn
The leader of the women of all worlds
62
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ أَمِيرِالْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
as salāmu `alayka yabna amīril mu-minīn
Peace be upon you, O son of the Commander of the Faithful
63
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا الْمَظْلُومُ الشَّهِيدُ
as salāmu `alayka ayyuhal maẓlūmush shahīd
Peace be upon you, O oppressed martyr
64
بِأَبِيْ أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي
bi-abī anta wa-ummī
May my father and mother be sacrificed for you
65
عِشْتَ سَعِيدًا
`ishta sa`īdā
You lived blessed
66
وَقُتِلْتَ مَظْلُومًا شَهِيدًا
waqutilta maẓlūman shahīdā
And were killed oppressed as a martyr
67
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَيُّهَا الذَّابُّونَ عَنْ تَوْحِيدِ اللَّهِ
as salāmu `alaykum ayyuhadh dhābbūna `an tawḥīdillāh
Peace be upon you, O defenders of the oneness of Allah
68
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكُمْ بِمَا صَبَرْتُمْ
as salāmu `alaykum bimā ṣabar-tum
Peace be upon you for your patience
69
فَنِعْمَ عُقْبَى الدَّارِ
fani`ma `uqbad dār
How excellent is the final abode
70
بِأَبِيْ أَنْتُمْ وَأُمِّي
bi-abī antum wa-ummī
May my father and mother be sacrificed for you
71
فُزْتُمْ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًا
fuztum fawzan `aẓīmā
You have achieved a great success
Ziarat of Hazrat Abbas [A]
72
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا الْعَبْدُ الصَّالِحُ وَالصِّدِّيقُ الْمُوَاسِي
as salāmu `alayka ayyuhal `abduṣ ṣāliḥu waṣ ṣiddīqul muwāsī
Peace be upon you, O righteous servant and truthful comforter
73
أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ آمَنْتَ بِاللَّهِ
ash-hadu annaka-āmanta billāh
I bear witness that you believed in Allah
74
وَنَصَرْتَ ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ
wanaṣar-tabna rasūlillāh
And supported the son of the Messenger of Allah
75
وَدَعَوْتَ إِلٰى سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ
wada`awta ilā sabīlillāh
And called to the path of Allah
76
وَوَاسَيْتَ بِنَفْسِكَ
wawāsayta binafsik
And sacrificed yourself
77
فَعَلَيْكَ مِنَ اللَّهِ أَفْضَلُ التَّحِيَّةِ وَالسَّلامِ
fa`alayka minallāhi afḍalut taḥiyyati was salām
May you receive from Allah the best greetings and peace
78
بِأَبِيْ أَنْتَ وَأُمِّيْ يَا نَاصِرَ دِينِ اللَّهِ
bi-abī anta wa-ummī yā nāṣira dīnillāh
May my father and mother be sacrificed for you, O helper of Allah's religion
79
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نَاصِرَ الْحُسَيْنِ الصِّدِّيقِ
as salāmu `alayka yā nāṣiral ḥusayniṣ ṣiddīq
Peace be upon you, O helper of Husayn the truthful
80
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نَاصِرَ الْحُسَيْنِ الشَّهِيدِ
as salāmu `alayka yā nāṣiral ḥusaynish shahīd
Peace be upon you, O helper of Husayn the martyr
81
عَلَيْكَ مِنِّيْ السَّلامُ
`alayka minnis salām
Upon you from me is peace
82
مَا بَقِيتُ وَبَقِيَ اللَّيْلُ وَالنَّهَارُ
mā baqītu wabaqiyal laylu wan nahār
As long as I remain and night and day remain
