بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
1
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِيْ لَاأَرْجُوْ إِلَّا فَضْلَهُ
bismillāhil ladhī lā-ar-jū illā faḍlah
In the name of Allah, from whom I hope for nothing but His grace
2
وَلَا أَخْشىٰ إِلَّا عَدْلَهُ
walā akhshā illā `adlah
And fear nothing but His justice
3
وَلَا أَعْتَمِدُ إِلَّا قَوْلَهُ
walā a`tamidu illā qawlah
And rely on nothing but His word
4
وَلَا أُمْسِكُ إِلَّا بِحَبْلِهِ
walā umsiku illā biḥablih
And hold fast to nothing but His rope
5
بِكَ أَسْتَجِيرُ يَا ذَا الْعَفْوِ وَالرِّضْوَانِ
bika astajīru yā dhal `afwi war riḍwān
I seek Your protection, O Lord of forgiveness and pleasure
6
مِنَ الظُّلْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ
minaẓ ẓulmi wal`udwān
From oppression and transgression
7
وَمِنْ غِيَرِ الزَّمَانِ
wamin ghiyariz zamān
And from the changes of time
8
وَتَوَاتُرِ الْأَحْزَانِ
watawāturil aḥzān
And the succession of sorrows
9
وَطَوَارِقِ الْحَدَثَانِ
waṭawāriqil ḥadathān
And the calamities of events
10
وَمِنِ انْقِضَاءِ الْمُدَّةِ قَبْلَ التَّأَهُّبِ وَالْعُدَّةِ
wamininqiḍā-il muddati qablat ta-ahhubi wal`uddah
And from the end of my life's term before preparation and readiness
11
وَ إِيَّاكَ أَسْتَرْشِدُ لِمَا فِيهِ الصَّلَاحُ وَالْإِصْلاَحُ
wa iyyāka astar-shidu limā fīhiṣ ṣalāḥu wal-iṣlāḥ
I seek Your guidance for what is righteous and beneficial
12
وَبِكَ أَسْتَعِينُ فِيْمَا يَقْتَرِنُ بِهِ النَّجَاحُ وَ الْإِنْجَاحُ
wabika asta`īnu fīmā yaqtarinu bihin najāḥu wal injāḥ
And I seek Your help in what leads to success and accomplishment
13
وَ إِيَّاكَ أَرْغَبُ فِيْ لِبَاسِ الْعَافِيَةِ وَتَمَامِهَا
wa iyyāka ar-ghabu fī libāsil `āfiyati watamāmihā
And I desire from You the garment of well-being and its completion
14
وَ شُمُولِ السَّلَامَةِ وَدَوَامِهَا
wa shumūlis salāmati wadawāmihā
And the inclusiveness of safety and its permanence
15
وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ يَا رَبِّ مِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ
wa-a`ūdhu bika yā rabbi min hamazātish shayāṭīn
And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, from the temptations of the devils
16
وَ أَحْتَرِزُ بِسُلْطَانِكَ مِنْ جَوْرِ السَّلَاطِينِ
wa aḥtarizu bisulṭānika min jawris salāṭīn
And I seek protection through Your authority from the oppression of rulers
17
فَتَقَبَّلْ مَا كَانَ مِنْ صَلَاتِيْ وَصَوْمِيْ
fataqabbal mā kāna min ṣalātī waṣawmī
So accept what was from my prayers and fasting
18
وَاجْعَلْ غَدِيْ وَمَا بَعْدَهُ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ سَاعَتِيْ وَيَوْمِيْ
waj`al ghadī wamā ba`dahu afḍala min sā`atī wayawmī
And make my tomorrow and what follows better than my hour and day
19
وَأَعِزَّنِيْ فِيْ عَشِيرَتِيْ وَقَوْمِيْ
wa-a`izzanī fī `ashīratī waqawmī
And honor me among my clan and people
20
وَاحْفَظْنِيْ فِيْ يَقْظَتِيْ وَنَوْمِيْ
waḥfaẓnī fī yaqẓatī wanawmī
And protect me in my wakefulness and sleep
21
فَأَنْتَ اللَّهُ خَيْرٌ حَافِظًا
fa-antallāhu khayrun ḥāfiẓā
For You are Allah, the Best Guardian
22
وَأَنْتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ
wa-anta ar-ḥamur rāḥimīn
And You are the Most Merciful of those who show mercy
23
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَبْرَأُ إِلَيْكَ فِيْ يَوْمِيْ هٰذَا
allāhumma innī abra-u ilayka fī yawmī hādhā
O Allah, I disassociate myself before You in this day of mine
24
وَمَا بَعْدَهُ مِنَ الْآحَادِ
wamā ba`dahu minal-āḥād
And in all Sundays to come
25
مِنَ الشِّرْكِ وَالْإِلْحَادِ
minash shir-ki wal-ilḥād
From polytheism and atheism
26
وَأُخْلِصُ لَكَ دُعَائِيْ
wa-ukhliṣu laka du`ā-ī
And I dedicate my supplication purely to You
27
تَعَرُّضًا لِلْإِجَابَةِ
ta`arruḍan lil-ijābah
Seeking an answer
28
وَأُقِيمُ عَلٰى طَاعَتِكَ
wa-uqīmu `alā ṭā`atik
And I remain steadfast in Your obedience
29
رَجَاءً لِلْإِثَابَةِ
rajā-an lil-ithābah
Hoping for reward
30
فَصَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ خَيْرِ خَلْقِكَ
faṣalli `alā muḥammadin khayri khalqik
So send blessings upon Muhammad, the best of Your creation
31
اَلدَّاعِيْ إِلٰى حَقِّكَ
ad dā`ī ilā ḥaqqik
The one who calls to Your truth
32
وَأَعِزَّنِيْ بِعِزِّكَ الَّذِيْ لَايُضَامُ
wa-a`izzanī bi`izzikal ladhī lāyuḍām
And honor me with Your honor that is never humiliated
33
وَاحْفَظْنِيْ بِعَيْنِكَ الَّتِيْ لَاتَنَامُ
waḥfaẓnī bi`aynikal latī lātanām
And protect me with Your eye that never sleeps
34
وَاخْتِمْ بِالَانْقِطَاعِ إِلَيْكَ أَمْرِيْ
wakhtim bilanqiṭā`i ilayka amrī
And seal my affairs with devotion to You alone
35
وَبِالْمَغْفِرَةِ عُمْرِيْ
wabil maghfirati `umrī
And my life with forgiveness
36
إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ
innaka antal ghafūrur raḥīm
Indeed, You are the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful
