اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O' Allāh send Your blessings on Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.
بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the Name of Allāh, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ لِيْ عِلْمٌ بِمَوْضِعِ رِزْقِيْ
allāhumma innahu laysa lī `ilmun bimawḍi`i rizqī
O Allah! verily, I lack acquaintance with the place of my sustenance;
وَإِنَّمَا أَطْلُبُهُ بِخَطَرَاتٍ تَخْطُرُ عَلٰى قَلْبِيْ
wa-innamā aṭlubuhu bikhaṭarātin takhṭuru `alā qalbī
rather, I am seeking it owing to ideas that come upon my mind.
فَأَجُولُ فِيْ طَلَبِهِ الْبُلْدَانَ
fa-ajūlu fī ṭalabihil buldān
I consequently wander in countries searching for it.
فَأَنَا فِيْمَا أَنَا طَالِبٌ كَالْحَيْرَانِ
fa-ana fīmā ana ṭālibun kalḥayrān
By doing such, I am as confused as the confounded,
لَاأَدْرِيْ أَفِيْ سَهْلٍ هُوَ أَمْ فِيْ جَبَلٍ
lā-adrī afī sahlin huwa am fī jabal
since I do not know whether my sustenance lies in a plain, on a mountain,
أَمْ فِيْ أَرْضٍ أَمْ فِيْ سَمَاءٍ
am fī ar-ḍin am fī sama
on the ground, in the air,
أَمْ فِيْ بَرٍّ أَمْ فِيْ بَحْرٍ
am fī barrin am fī baḥr
on lands, in seas,
وَعَلٰى يَدَيْ مَنْ
wa`alā yaday man
at whose hands,
وَمِنْ قِبَلِ مَنْ
wamin qibali man
or who the source of it is.
وَقَدْ عَلِمْتُ أَنَّ عِلْمَهُ عِنْدَكَ
waqad `alimtu anna `ilmahu `indak
I have full knowledge that You know all these,
وَأَسْبَابَهُ بِيَدِكَ
wa-asbābahu biyadik
the causes of them are in Your Hands,
وَأَنْتَ الَّذِيْ تَقْسِمُهُ بِلُطْفِكَ
wa-antal ladhī taqsimuhu biluṭfik
and it is You Who distribute it out of Your compassion
وَتُسَبِّبُهُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ
watusabbibuhu biraḥmatik
and cause it out of Your mercy.
اَللّٰهُمَّ فَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
allāhumma faṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa ālih
O Allah, please send blessings to Muhammad and his Household
وَاجْعَلْ يَا رَبِّ رِزْقَكَ لِيْ وَاسِعًا
waj`al yā rabbi rizqaka lī wāsi`ā
and make, O Lord, Your sustenance that is provided (by You) to me expansive,
وَمَطْلَبَهُ سَهْلًا
wamaṭlabahu sahlā
my seeking for it easy for me,
وَمَأْخَذَهُ قَرِيبًا
wama-khadhahu qarībā
and its source close to me.
وَلَا تُعَنِّنِيْ بِطَلبِ مَا لَمْ تُقَدِّرْ لِيْ فِيهِ رِزْقًا
walā tu`anninī biṭalbi mā lam tuqaddir lī fīhi rizqā
Please, do not fatigue me by seeking that which You have not decided for me to take,
فَإِنَّكَ غَنِيٌّ عَنْ عَذَابِي
fa-innaka ghaniyyun `an `adhābī
because You are certainly in no need for tormenting me
وَأَنَا فَقِيرٌ إِلٰى رَحْمَتِكَ
wa-ana faqīrun ilā raḥmatik
while I am in full need for Your mercy.
فَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
faṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa ālih
(Please) Send blessings upon Muhammad and his Household
وَجُدْ عَلٰى عَبْدِكَ بِفَضْلِكَ
wajud `alā `abdika bifaḍlik
and confer liberally upon me, Your slave, out of Your graciousness.
إِنَّكَ ذُوْ فَضْلٍ عَظِيمٍ
innaka dhū faḍlin `aẓīm
You are surely the Lord of great favor.
