بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
1
أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللّٰهَ الَّذِيْ لَاإِلٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ
astaghfirullāhal ladhī la-ilāha illā huw
I seek forgiveness from Allah, there is no god but He
2
اَلْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ
al ḥayyul qayyūm
The Ever-Living, the Self-Subsisting
3
اَلرَّحْمٰنُ الرَّحِيمُ
ar raḥmānur raḥīm
The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
4
ذُوْ الْجَلالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ
dhul jalāli wal-ikrām
Possessor of Majesty and Honor
5
وَ أَسْألُهُ أَنْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيَّ
wa as-luhu an yatūba `alayy
And I ask Him to accept my repentance
6
تَوْبَةَ عَبْدٍ ذَلِيلٍ خَاضِعٍ
tawbata `abdin dhalīlin khāḍi`
The repentance of a humble, submissive servant
7
فَقِيرٍ بَائِسٍ
faqīrin bā-is
Poor and distressed
8
مِسْكِينٍ مُسْتَكِينٍ مُسْتَجِيرٍ
miskīnin mustakīnin mustajīr
Needy, lowly, seeking protection
9
لَايَمْلِكُ لِنَفْسِهِ نَفْعًا وَلَا ضَرًّا
lāyamliku linafsihi naf`an walā ḍarrā
Who possesses neither benefit nor harm for himself
10
وَلَا مَوْتًا وَلَا حَيَاةً وَلَا نُشُورًا
walā mawtan walā ḥayātan walā nushūrā
Nor death, nor life, nor resurrection
11
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ نَفْسٍ لَاتَشْبَعُ
allāhumma innī a`ūdhu bika min nafsin lātashba`
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from a soul that is never satisfied
12
وَمِنْ قَلْبٍ لَايَخْشَعُ
wamin qalbin lāyakhsha`
And from a heart that does not fear You
13
وَمِنْ عِلْمٍ لَايَنْفَعُ
wamin `ilmin lāyanfa`
And from knowledge that does not benefit
14
وَمِنْ صَلاةٍ لَاتُرْفَعُ
wamin ṣalātin lātur-fa`
And from a prayer that is not lifted up
15
وَمِنْ دُعَاءٍ لَايُسْمَعُ
wamin du`ā-in lāyusma`
And from a supplication that is not heard
16
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْيُسْرَ بَعْدَ الْعُسْرِ
allāhumma innī as-alukal yusra ba`dal `usr
O Allah, I ask You for ease after hardship
17
وَالْفَرَجَ بَعْدَ الْكَرْبِ
walfaraja ba`dal kar-b
And relief after distress
18
وَالرَّخَاءَ بَعْدَ الشِّدَةِ
war rakhā-a ba`dash shidah
And comfort after difficulty
19
اَللّٰهُمَّ مَا بِنَا مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ فَمِنْكَ
allāhumma mā binā min ni`matin famink
O Allah, whatever blessings we have are from You
20
لَاإِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
la-ilāha illā ant
There is no god but You
21
أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ
astaghfiruka wa-atūbu ilayk
I seek Your forgiveness and I turn to You in repentance
