بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send Your blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
1
إِلٰهِيْ أَسْكَنْتَنَا دَارًا حَفَرَتْ لَنَا حُفَرَ مَكْرِهَا
ilāhī askantanā dāran ḥafarat lanā ḥufara makrihā
My God, You have made us dwell in a house that has dug for us pits of deception
2
وَعَلَّقْتَنَا بِأَيْدِيْ الْمَنَايَا فِيْ حَبَائِلِ غَدْرِهَا
wa`allaqtanā bi-aydil manāyā fī ḥabā-ili ghadrihā
And You have suspended us by the hands of death in the snares of its treachery
3
فَإِلَيْكَ نَلْتَجِئُ مِنْ مَكَائِدِ خُدَعِهَا
fa-ilayka naltaji-u min makā-idi khuda`ihā
So to You we seek refuge from its deceitful plots
4
وَبِكَ نَعْتَصِمُ مِنَ الْإِغْتِرَارِ بِزَخَارِفِ زينَتِهَا
wabika na`taṣimu minal ightirāri bizakhārifi zinatihā
And with You we seek protection from being deceived by its ornamental luxuries
5
فَإِنَّهَا الْمُهْلِكَةُ طُلَّابَهَا
fa-innahal muhlikatu ṭullābahā
For indeed it destroys those who seek it
6
اَلْمُتْلِفَةُ حُلَّالَهَا
al mutlifatu ḥullālahā
And ruins those who inhabit it
7
اَلْمَحْشُوَّةُ بِالْآفَاتِ
al maḥshuwwatu bil-āfāt
It is filled with calamities
8
اَلْمَشْحُونَةُ بِالنَّكَبَاتِ
al mash-ḥūnatu binnakabāt
And overflowing with disasters
9
إِلٰهِيْ فَزَهِّدْنَا فِيهَا
ilāhī fazahhidnā fīhā
My God, make us abstain from it
10
وَسَلِّمْنَا مِنْهَا
wasallimnā minhā
And keep us safe from it
11
بِتَوْفِيقِكَ وَعِصْمَتِكَ
bitawfīqika wa`iṣmatik
Through Your guidance and protection
12
وَانْزَعْ عَنَّا جَلابِيبَ مُخَالَفَتِكَ
wanza` `annā jalābība mukhālafatik
And remove from us the garments of disobedience to You
13
وَتَوَلَّ أُمُورَنَا بِحُسْنِ كِفَايَتِكَ
watawalla umūranā biḥusni kifāyatik
And take charge of our affairs with Your excellent sufficiency
14
وَأَوْفِرْ مَزِيدَنَا مِنْ سَعَةِ رَحْمَتِكَ
wa-awfir mazīdanā min sa`ati raḥmatik
And increase our share from the vastness of Your mercy
15
وَأَجْمِلْ صِلاتِنَا مِنْ فَيْضِ مَوَاهِبِكَ
wa-ajmil ṣilātinā min fayḍi mawāhibik
And beautify our connections with the abundance of Your gifts
16
وَاغْرِسْ فِيْ أَفْئِدَتِنَا أَشْجَارَ مَحَبَّتِكَ
waghris fī af-idatinā ashjāra maḥabbatik
And plant in our hearts the trees of Your love
17
وَأَتْمِمْ لَنَا أَنْوَارَ مَعْرِفَتِكَ
wa-atmim lanā anwāra ma`rifatik
And complete for us the lights of Your recognition
18
وَأَذِقْنَا حَلاَوَةَ عَفْوِكَ وَلَذَّةَ مَغْفِرَتِكَ
wa-adhiqnā ḥalāwata `afwika waladhhata maghfiratik
And let us taste the sweetness of Your pardon and the pleasure of Your forgiveness
19
وَأَقْرِرْ أَعْيُنَنَا يَوْمَ لِقَائِكَ بِرُؤْيَتِكَ
wa-aqrir a`yunanā yawma liqā-ika biru-yatik
And cool our eyes on the day of meeting You with the vision of You
20
وَأَخْرِجْ حُبَّ الدُّنْيَا مِنْ قُلُوبِنَا
wa-akhrij ḥubbad dunyā min qulūbinā
And remove the love of this world from our hearts
21
كَمَا فَعَلْتَ بِالصَّالِحِيْنَ مِنْ صَفْوَتِكَ
kamā fa`alta biṣṣāliḥīna min ṣafwatik
As You have done with the righteous ones of Your elite
22
وَالْاَبْرَارِ مِنْ خَاصَّتِكَ
wal-abrāri min khāṣṣatik
And the pious ones of Your special servants
23
يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ
yā ar-ḥamar rāḥimīn
O Most Merciful of the merciful ones
24
وَيَا أَكْرَمَ الْاَكْرَمِين
wayā akramal akramīn
And O Most Generous of the generous ones
