بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
1
اَللَّهُمَّ يَا مَلَاذَ اللَّائِذِينَ
allāhumma yā malādhal lā-idhīn
O Allah, O Refuge of those who seek refuge
2
وَيَا مَعَاذَ الْعَائِذِينَ
wayā ma`ādhal `ā-idhīn
And O Shelter of those who seek shelter
3
وَيَا مُنْجِيَ الْهَالِكينَ
wayā munjiyal hālikin
And O Savior of the perishing
4
وَيَا عَاصِمَ الْبَائِسِينَ
wayā `āṣimal bā-isīn
And O Protector of the distressed
5
وَيَا رَاحِمَ الْمَسَاكِينَ
wayā rāḥimal masākīn
And O Merciful to the destitute
6
وَيَا مُجِيبَ الْمُضْطَرِّينَ
wayā mujībal muḍṭarrīn
And O Answerer of the desperate
7
وَيَا كَنْزَ الْمُفْتَقِرِينَ
wayā kanzal muftaqirīn
And O Treasure of the impoverished
8
وَيَا جَابِرَ الْمُنْكَسِرِينَ
wayā jābiral munkasirīn
And O Mender of the broken
9
وَيَا مَأْوَىٰ الْمُنْقَطِعِينَ
wayā ma-wal munqaṭi`īn
And O Shelter of the disconnected
10
وَيَا نَاصِرَ الْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ
wayā nāṣiral mustaḍ`afīn
And O Helper of the oppressed
11
وَيَا مُجِيرَ الْخَائِفِينَ
wayā mujīral khā-ifīn
And O Protector of the fearful
12
وَيَا مُغِيثَ الْمَكْرُوبِينَ
wayā mughīthal makrūbīn
And O Reliever of the distressed
13
وَيَا حِصْنَ اللَّاجِئِينَ
wayā ḥiṣnal lāji-īn
And O Fortress of the refugees
14
إِنْ لَمْ أَعُذْ بِعِزَّتِكَ فَبِمَنْ أَعُوذُ
in lam a`udh bi`izzatika fabiman a`ūdh
If I do not seek protection in Your Might, then with whom shall I seek protection?
15
وَإِنْ لَمْ أَلُذْ بِقُدْرَتِكَ فَبِمَنْ أَلُوذُ
wa-in lam aludh biqudratika fabiman alūdh
And if I do not seek refuge in Your Power, then with whom shall I seek refuge?
16
وَقَدْ أَلْجَأَتْنِيْ الذُّنُوبُ إِلَى التَّشَبُّثِ بِأَذْيَالِ عَفْوِكَ
waqad alja-atnidh dhunūbu ilat tashabbuthi bi-adhyāli `afwik
My sins have compelled me to cling to the hem of Your forgiveness
17
وَأَحْوَجَتْنِيْ الْخَطَايَا إِلَى اسْتِفْتَاحِ أَبْوَابِ صَفْحِكَ
wa-aḥwajatnil khaṭāyā ilastiftāḥi abwābi ṣafḥik
And my mistakes have forced me to seek the opening of the doors of Your pardon
18
وَدَعَتْنِيْ الْإِسَاءَةُ إِلَى الْإِنَاخَةِ بِفَنَاءِ عِزِّكَ
wada`atnil isā-atu ilal inākhati bifanā-i `izzik
And my wrongdoings have called me to kneel at the courtyard of Your Might
19
وَحَمَلَتْنِيْ الْمَخَافَةُ مِنْ نَقِمَتِكَ عَلَى التَّمَسُّكِ بِعُرْوَةِ عَطْفِكَ
waḥamalatnil makhāfatu min naqimatika `alat tamassuki bi`ur-wati `aṭfik
And my fear of Your punishment has led me to hold fast to the rope of Your Kindness
20
وَمَا أَحَقُّ مَنِ اعْتَصَمَ بِحَبْلِكَ أَنْ يُخْذَلَ
wamā aḥaqqu mani`taṣama biḥablika an yukhdhal
How fitting that one who holds onto Your rope should not be forsaken
21
وَلَا يَلِيقُ بِمَنِ اسْتَجَارَ بِعِزِّكَ أَنْ يُسْلَمَ أَوْ يُهْمَلَ
walā yalīqu bimanistajāra bi`izzika an yuslama aw yuhmal
And it is not befitting that one who seeks protection in Your Might should be abandoned or neglected
22
إِلٰهِيْ فَلَا تُخْلِنَا مِنْ حِمَايَتِكَ
ilāhī falā tukhlinā min ḥimāyatik
My God, do not deprive us of Your protection
23
وَلَا تُعْرِنَا مِنْ رِعَايَتِكَ
walā tu`rinā min ri`āyatik
And do not strip us of Your care
24
وَذُدْنَا عَنْ مَوَارِدِ الْهَلَكَةِ
wadhudnā `an mawāridil halakah
And defend us from the pathways of destruction
25
فَإِنَّا بِعَيْنِكَ وَفِيْ كَنَفِكَ وَلَكَ
fa-innā bi`aynika wafī kanafika walak
For we are under Your watch, in Your shelter, and belong to You
26
أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَهْلِ خَاصَّتِكَ
as-aluka bi-ahli khāṣṣatik
I ask You by the right of Your special ones
27
مِنْ مَلَائِكَتِكَ وَالصَّالِحِيْنَ مِنْ بَرِيَّتِكَ
min malā-ikatika waṣ ṣāliḥīna min bariyyatik
From Your angels and the righteous among Your creation
28
أَنْ تَجْعَلَ عَلَيْنَا وَاقِيَةً
an taj`ala `alaynā wāqiyah
To place upon us a shield
29
تُنْجِينَا مِنَ الْهَلَكَاتِ
tunjīnā minal halakāt
That saves us from destruction
30
وَتُجَنِّبُنَا مِنَ الْآفَاتِ
watujannibunā minal-āfāt
And keeps us away from calamities
31
وَتُكِنُّنَا مِنْ دَوَاهِيْ الْمُصِيبَاتِ
watukinnunā min dawāhil muṣībāt
And shelters us from devastating afflictions
32
وَأَنْ تُنْزِلَ عَلَيْنَا مِنْ سَكِينَتِكَ
wa-an tunzila `alaynā min sakīnatik
And to send down upon us from Your tranquility
33
وَأَنْ تُغَشِّيَ وُجُوهَنَا بِأَنْوَارِ مَحَبَّتِكَ
wa-an tughashhiya wujūhanā bi-anwāri maḥabbatik
And to cover our faces with the lights of Your love
34
وَأَنْ تُؤْوِيَنَا إِلَى شَدِيْدِ رُكْنِكَ
wa-an tu-wiyanā ilā shadīdi ruknik
And to give us refuge in Your strong pillar
35
وَأَنْ تَحْوِيَنَا فِيْ أَكْنَافِ عِصْمَتِكَ
wa-an taḥwiyanā fī aknāfi `iṣmatik
And to encompass us in the protection of Your infallibility
36
بِرَأْفَتِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ
bira-fatika waraḥmatik
By Your kindness and Your mercy
37
يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ
yā ar-ḥamar rāḥimīn
O Most Merciful of the merciful
