بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
1
اَللَّهُمَّ يَا مَنْ لَا يَرْغَبُ فِيْ الْجَزَاءِ
allāhumma yā man lā yar-ghabu fil jazā
O Allah, O He who does not desire reward
2
وَ يَا مَنْ لَا يَنْدَمُ عَلَى الْعَطَاءِ
wa yā man lā yandamu `alal `aṭā
And O He who does not regret His giving
3
وَ يَا مَنْ لَا يُكَافِئُ عَبْدَهُ عَلَى السَّوَاءِ
wa yā man lā yukāfi-u `abdahu `alas sawā
And O He who does not recompense His servant with an equivalent
4
مِنَّتُكَ ابْتِدَا، وَ عَفْوُكَ تَفَضُّلٌ
minnatukabtidā, wa `afwuka tafaḍḍul
Your favor is a beginning and Your pardon is a grace
5
وَ عُقُوبَتُكَ عَدْلٌ، وَ قَضَاؤُكَ خِيَرَةٌ
wa `uqūbatuka `adl, wa qaḍā-uka khiyarah
And Your punishment is justice, and Your decree is the best choice
6
إِنْ أَعْطَيْتَ لَمْ تَشُبْ عَطَاءَكَ بِمَنٍّ
in a`ṭayta lam tashub `aṭā-aka bimann
If You give, You do not taint Your gift with reproach
7
وَ إِنْ مَنَعْتَ لَمْ يَكُنْ مَنْعُكَ تَعَدِّيًا
wa in mana`ta lam yakun man`uka ta`addiyā
And if You withhold, Your withholding is not transgression
8
تَشْكُرُ مَنْ شَكَرَكَ وَ أَنْتَ أَلْهَمْتَهُ شُكْرَكَ
tashkuru man shakaraka wa anta alhamtahu shukrak
You thank the one who thanks You while You inspired him to thank You
9
وَ تُكَافِئُ مَنْ حَمِدَكَ وَ أَنْتَ عَلَّمْتَهُ حَمْدَكَ
wa tukāfi-u man ḥamidaka wa anta `allamtahu ḥamdak
And You reward the one who praises You while You taught him to praise You
10
تَسْتُرُ عَلَى مَنْ لَوْ شِئْتَ فَضَحْتَهُ
tasturu `alā man law shi-ta faḍaḥtah
You conceal the one whom, had You willed, You could have exposed
11
وَ تَجُودُ عَلَى مَنْ لَوْ شِئْتَ مَنَعْتَهُ
wa tajūdu `alā man law shi-ta mana`tah
And You are generous to the one whom, had You willed, You could have deprived
12
وَ كِلَاهُمَا أَهْلٌ مِنْكَ لِلْفَضِيحَةِ وَ الْمَنْعِ
wa kilāhumā ahlun minka lilfaḍīḥati wal man`
And both of them are deserving from You of exposure and deprivation
13
غَيْرَ أَنَّكَ بَنَيْتَ أَفْعَالَكَ عَلَى التَّفَضُّلِ
ghayra annaka banayta af`ālaka `alat tafaḍḍul
Except that You have founded Your actions on graciousness
14
وَ أَجْرَيْتَ قُدْرَتَكَ عَلَى التَّجَاوُزِ
wa ajrayta qudrataka `alat tajāwuz
And established Your power on forgiveness
15
وَ تَلَقَّيْتَ مَنْ عَصَاكَ بِالْحِلْمِ
wa talaqqayta man `aṣāka bil ḥilm
And You receive those who disobey You with forbearance
16
وَ أَمْهَلْتَ مَنْ قَصَدَ لِنَفْسِهِ بِالظُّلْمِ
wa amhalta man qaṣada linafsihi bilẓẓulm
And You grant respite to those who intend to harm themselves with injustice
17
تَسْتَنْظِرُهُمْ بِأَنَاتِكَ إِلَى الْإِنَابَةِ، وَ تَتْرُكُ مُعَاجَلَتَهُمْ إِلَى التَّوْبَةِ
tastanẓiruhum bi-anātika ilal inābah, wa tatruku mu`ājalatahum ilat tawbah
You give them time with Your patience for repentance, and You delay their immediate punishment toward penitence
18
لِكَيْلَا يَهْلِكَ عَلَيْكَ هَالِكُهُمْ
likaylā yahlika `alayka hālikuhum
So that the perishing among them would not perish by Your decree
19
وَ لَا يَشْقَى بِنِعْمَتِكَ شَقِيُّهُمْ
wa lā yashqā bini`matika shaqiyyuhum
And the wretched would not be wretched by Your favor
20
إِلَّا عَنْ طُولِ الْإِعْذَارِ إِلَيْهِ
illā `an ṭūlil i`dhāri ilayh
Except after a prolonged excuse to him
21
وَ بَعْدَ تَرَادُفِ الْحُجَّةِ عَلَيْهِ
wa ba`da tarādufil ḥujjati `alayh
And after the successive arguments against him
22
كَرَمًا مِنْ عَفْوِكَ يَا كَرِيمُ
karaman min `afwika yā karīm
Out of generosity from Your pardon, O Generous One
23
وَ عَائِدَةً مِنْ عَطْفِكَ يَا حَلِيمُ
wa `ā-idatan min `aṭfika yā ḥalīm
And as a benefit from Your compassion, O Forbearing One
24
أَنْتَ الَّذِيْ فَتَحْتَ لِعِبَادِكَ بَابًا
antal ladhī fataḥta li`ibādika bābā
You are the One who opened for Your servants a door
25
إِلَى عَفْوِكَ وَ سَمَّيْتَهُ التَّوْبَةَ
ilā `afwika wa sammaytahut tawbah
To Your pardon and named it repentance
26
وَ جَعَلْتَ عَلَى ذٰلِكَ الْبَابِ دَلِيْلًا مِنْ وَحْيِكَ
wa ja`alta `alā dhālikal bābi dalīlan min waḥyik
And You placed upon that door a guide from Your revelation
27
لِئَلَّا يَضِلُّوْا عَنْهُ فَقُلْتَ تَبَارَكَ اسْمُكَ
li-allā yaḍillū `anhu faqulta tabārakasmuk
So that they would not stray from it, and You said, blessed is Your name:
28
تُوبُوْا إِلَى اللَّهِ تَوْبَةً نَصُوحًا عَسَى رَبُّكُمْ
tūbū ilallāhi tawbatan naṣūḥan `asā rabbukum
"Turn to Allah with sincere repentance, perhaps your Lord
29
أَنْ يُكَفِّرَ عَنْكُمْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ وَ يُدْخِلَكُمْ
an yukaffira `ankum sayyi-ātikum wa yudkhilakum
Will remove from you your misdeeds and admit you
30
جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِيْ مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ
jannātin tajrī min taḥtihal anhār
Into gardens beneath which rivers flow
31
يَوْمَ لَا يُخْزِيْ اللَّهُ النَّبِيَّ
yawma lā yukhzillāhun nabiyy
On the Day when Allah will not disgrace the Prophet
32
وَ الَّذِيْنَ آمَنُوْا مَعَهُ نُوْرُهُمْ يَسْعَى بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَ بِأَيْمَانِهِمْ
wal ladhīna-āmanū ma`ahu nūruhum yas`ā bayna aydīhim wa bi-aymānihim
And those who believed with him. Their light will proceed before them and on their right.
33
يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا أَتْمِمْ لَنَا نُورَنَا وَ اغْفِرْ لَنَا
yaqūlūna rabbanā atmim lanā nūranā waghfir lanā
They will say, 'Our Lord, perfect for us our light and forgive us.
34
إِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
innaka `alā kulli shay-in qadīr
Indeed, You are over all things competent.'"
35
فَمَا عُذْرُ مَنْ أَغْفَلَ دُخُوْلَ ذٰلِكَ الْمَنْزِلِ
famā `udhru man aghfala dukhūla dhālikal manzil
So what is the excuse of one who neglects entering that house
36
بَعْدَ فَتْحِ الْبَابِ وَ إِقَامَةِ الدَّلِيلِ
ba`da fat-ḥil bābi wa iqāmatid dalīl
After the door has been opened and the guide established?
37
وَ أَنْتَ الَّذِيْ زِدْتَ فِيْ السَّوْمِ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ لِعِبَادِكَ
wa antal ladhī zidta fis sawmi `alā nafsika li`ibādik
And You are the One who increased the price against Yourself for Your servants
38
تُرِيدُ رِبْحَهُمْ فِيْ مُتَاجَرَتِهِمْ لَكَ
turīdu ribḥahum fī mutājaratihim lak
Desiring their profit in their commerce with You
39
وَ فَوْزَهُمْ بِالْوِفَادَةِ عَلَيْكَ وَ الزِّيَادَةِ مِنْكَ
wa fawzahum bil wifādati `alayka waz ziyādati mink
And their success in approaching You and receiving increase from You
40
فَقُلْتَ تَبَارَكَ اسْمُكَ وَ تَعَالَيْتَ
faqulta tabārakasmuka wa ta`ālayt
For You said, blessed and exalted is Your name:
41
مَنْ جَاءَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُ عَشْرُ أَمْثَالِهَا
man jā-a bil ḥasanati falahu `ashru amthālihā
"Whoever comes with a good deed will have ten times the like thereof
42
وَ مَنْ جَاءَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ فَلَا يُجْزَى إِلَّا مِثْلَهَا
wa man jā-a bissayyi-ati falā yujzā illā mithlahā
And whoever comes with an evil deed will not be recompensed except the like thereof"
43
وَ قُلْتَ مَثَلُ الَّذِيْنَ يُنْفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ فِيْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ كَمَثَلِ حَبَّةٍ
wa qulta mathalul ladhīna yunfiqūna amwālahum fī sabīlillāhi kamathali ḥabbah
And You said: "The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed
44
أَنْبَتَتْ سَبْعَ سَنَابِلَ فِيْ كُلِّ سُنْبُلَةٍ مِائَةُ حَبَّةٍ
anbatat sab`a sanābila fī kulli sunbulatin mi-atu ḥabbah
Which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains
45
وَ اللَّهُ يُضَاعِفُ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ
wallāhu yuḍā`ifu liman yashā
And Allah multiplies for whom He wills"
46
وَ قُلْتَ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِيْ يُقْرِضُ اللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا
wa qulta man dhal ladhī yuqriḍullāha qar-ḍan ḥasanā
And You said: "Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan
47
فَيُضَاعِفَهُ لَهُ أَضْعَافًا كَثِيرَةً
fayuḍā`ifahu lahu aḍ`āfan kathīrah
So He may multiply it for him many times over"
48
وَ مَا أَنْزَلْتَ مِنْ نَظَائِرِهِنَّ فِيْ الْقُرْآنِ مِنْ تَضَاعِيفِ الْحَسَنَاتِ
wa mā anzalta min naẓā-irihinna fil qur-āni min taḍā`īfil ḥasanāt
And what You have revealed of their like in the Quran about the multiplication of good deeds
49
وَ أَنْتَ الَّذِيْ دَلَلْتَهُمْ بِقَوْلِكَ مِنْ غَيْبِكَ وَ تَرْغِيبِكَ
wa antal ladhī dalaltahum biqawlika min ghaybika wa tar-ghībik
And You are the One who guided them through Your word from Your unseen and Your encouragement
50
اَلَّذِيْ فِيهِ حَظُّهُمْ عَلَى مَا لَوْ سَتَرْتَهُ عَنْهُمْ
al ladhī fīhi ḥaẓẓuhum `alā mā law satar-tahu `anhum
In which is their share, to what, had You concealed it from them
51
لَمْ تُدْرِكْهُ أَبْصَارُهُمْ وَ لَمْ تَعِهِ أَسْمَاعُهُمْ
lam tudrikhu abṣāruhum wa lam ta`ihi asmā`uhum
Their eyes would not have perceived it, their ears would not have comprehended it
52
وَ لَمْ تَلْحَقْهُ أَوْهَامُهُمْ
wa lam talḥaqhu awhāmuhum
And their imaginations would not have reached it
53
فَقُلْتَ اذْكُرُونِيْ أَذْكُرْكُمْ وَ اشْكُرُوْا لِيْ وَ لَا تَكْفُرُونِ
faqultadhkurūnī adhkur-kum washkurū lī wa lā takfurūn
So You said: "Remember Me, I will remember you, and be grateful to Me and do not deny Me"
54
وَ قُلْتَ لَئِنْ شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ
wa qulta la-in shakar-tum la-azīdannakum
And You said: "If you are grateful, I will surely increase you
55
وَ لَئِنْ كَفَرْتُمْ إِنَّ عَذَابِيْ لَشَدِيدٌ
wa la-in kafar-tum inna `adhābī lashadīd
But if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe"
56
وَ قُلْتَ ادْعُونِيْ أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ
wa qultad`ūnī astajib lakum
And You said: "Call upon Me; I will respond to you
57
إِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِي
innal ladhīna yastakbirūna `an `ibādatī
Indeed, those who disdain My worship
58
سَيَدْخُلُونَ جَهَنَّمَ دَاخِرِينَ
sayadkhulūna jahannama dākhirīn
Will enter Hell humiliated"
59
فَسَمَّيْتَ دُعَاءَكَ عِبَادَةً وَ تَرْكَهُ اسْتِكْبَارًا
fasammayta du`ā-aka `ibādatan wa tar-kahustikbārā
So You named calling upon You worship, and its neglect arrogance
60
وَ تَوَعَّدْتَ عَلَى تَرْكِهِ دُخُولَ جَهَنَّمَ دَاخِرِينَ
wa tawa``adta `alā tar-kihi dukhūla jahannama dākhirīn
And You threatened its neglect with entrance into Hell in humiliation
61
فَذَكَرُوكَ بِمَنِّكَ وَ شَكَرُوكَ بِفَضْلِكَ
fadhakarūka bimannika wa shakarūka bifaḍlik
So they remembered You by Your favor and thanked You by Your grace
62
وَ دَعَوْكَ بِأَمْرِكَ
wa da`awka bi-amrik
And they called upon You by Your command
63
وَ تَصَدَّقُوْا لَكَ طَلَبًا لِمَزِيدِكَ
wa taṣaddaqū laka ṭalaban limazīdik
And they gave charity seeking Your increase
64
وَ فِيهَا كَانَتْ نَجَاتُهُمْ مِنْ غَضَبِكَ
wa fīhā kānat najātuhum min ghaḍabik
And in all this was their salvation from Your wrath
65
وَ فَوْزُهُمْ بِرِضَاكَ
wa fawzuhum biriḍāk
And their success through Your pleasure
66
وَ لَوْ دَلَّ مَخْلُوقٌ مَخْلُوقًا مِنْ نَفْسِهِ
wa law dalla makhlūqun makhlūqan min nafsih
And if a creature had guided a creature like himself
67
عَلَى مِثْلِ الَّذِيْ دَلَلْتَ عَلَيْهِ عِبَادَكَ مِنْكَ
`alā mithlil ladhī dalalta `alayhi `ibādaka mink
To something similar to what You have guided Your servants to from Yourself
68
كَانَ مَوْصُوفًا بِالْإِحْسَانِ
kāna mawṣūfan bil iḥsān
He would have been described as benevolent
69
وَ مَنْعُوتًا بِالْإِمْتِنَانِ وَ مَحْمُودًا بِكُلِّ لِسَانٍ
wa man`ūtan bil imtināni wa maḥmūdan bikulli lisān
And characterized as gracious and praised by every tongue
70
فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ مَا وُجِدَ فِيْ حَمْدِكَ مَذْهَبٌ
falakal ḥamdu mā wujida fī ḥamdika madh-hab
So to You belongs praise as long as there is a way to praise You
71
وَ مَا بَقِيَ لِلْحَمْدِ لَفْظٌ تُحْمَدُ بِهِ وَ مَعْنًى يَنْصَرِفُ إِلَيْهِ
wa mā baqiya lilḥamdi lafẓun tuḥmadu bihi wa ma`nan yanṣarifu ilayh
And as long as there remains a word with which You are praised and a meaning that refers to it
72
يَا مَنْ تَحَمَّدَ إِلَى عِبَادِهِ بِالْإِحْسَانِ وَ الْفَضْلِ
yā man taḥammada ilā `ibādihi bil iḥsāni wal faḍl
O He who shows kindness to His servants with beneficence and bounty
73
وَ غَمَرَهُمْ بِالْمَنِّ وَ الطَّوْلِ
wa ghamarahum bil manni waṭ ṭawl
And who overwhelms them with favor and generosity
74
مَا أَفْشَى فِينَا نِعْمَتَكَ وَ أَسْبَغَ عَلَيْنَا مِنَّتَكَ
mā afshā fīnā ni`mataka wa asbagha `alaynā minnatak
How abundant is Your blessing upon us and how extensive is Your favor toward us
75
وَ أَخَصَّنَا بِبِرِّكَ
wa akhaṣṣanā bibirrik
And how especially have You singled us out with Your goodness
76
هَدَيْتَنَا لِدِينِكَ الَّذِيْ اصْطَفَيْتَ
hadaytanā lidīnikal ladhiṣṭafayt
You have guided us to Your religion which You have chosen
77
وَ مِلَّتِكَ الَّتِيْ ارْتَضَيْتَ
wa millatikal latir-taḍayt
And Your creed with which You are pleased
78
وَ سَبِيلِكَ الَّذِيْ سَهَّلْتَ
wa sabīlikal ladhī sahhalt
And Your path which You have made easy
79
وَ بَصَّرْتَنَا الزُّلْفَةَ لَدَيْكَ وَ الْوُصُولَ إِلَى كَرَامَتِكَ
wa baṣṣar-tanaz zulfata ladayka wal wuṣūla ilā karāmatik
And You have shown us the way to proximity with You and arrival at Your honor
80
اَللَّهُمَّ وَ أَنْتَ جَعَلْتَ مِنْ صَفَايَا تِلْكَ الْوَظَائِفِ
allāhumma wa anta ja`alta min ṣafāyā tilkal waẓā-if
O Allah, You have made from the choicest of those duties
81
وَ خَصَائِصِ تِلْكَ الْفُرُوضِ
wa khaṣā-iṣi tilkal furūḍ
And the special distinctions of those obligations
82
شَهْرَ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِيْ اخْتَصَصْتَهُ مِنْ سَائِرِ الشُّهُورِ
shahra ramaḍānal ladhikhtaṣaṣtahu min sā-irish shuhūr
The month of Ramadan which You have distinguished from other months
83
وَ تَخَيَّرْتَهُ مِنْ جَمِيْعِ الْأَزْمِنَةِ وَ الدُّهُورِ
wa takhayyar-tahu min jamī`il azminati wad duhūr
And selected from all periods and eras
84
وَ آثَرْتَهُ عَلَى كُلِّ أَوْقَاتِ السَّنَةِ
wa-āthar-tahu `alā kulli awqātis sanah
And preferred over all times of the year
85
بِمَا أَنْزَلْتَ فِيهِ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ وَ النُّورِ
bimā anzalta fīhi minal qur-āni wan nūr
Through what You have revealed in it of the Quran and the light
86
وَ ضَاعَفْتَ فِيهِ مِنَ الْإِيمَانِ
wa ḍā`afta fīhi minal īmān
And what You have multiplied in it of faith
87
وَ فَرَضْتَ فِيهِ مِنَ الصِّيَامِ
wa faraḍta fīhi minaṣ ṣiyām
And what You have obligated in it of fasting
88
وَ رَغَّبْتَ فِيهِ مِنَ الْقِيَامِ
wa raghhabta fīhi minal qiyām
And what You have encouraged in it of night prayer
89
وَ أَجْلَلْتَ فِيهِ مِنْ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ
wa ajlalta fīhi min laylatil qadr
And what You have magnified in it of the Night of Decree
90
اَلَّتِيْ هِيَ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ
al latī hiya khayrun min alfi shahr
Which is better than a thousand months
91
ثُمَّ آثَرْتَنَا بِهِ عَلَى سَائِرِ الْأُمَمِ
thumma-āthar-tanā bihi `alā sā-iril umam
Then You preferred us with it over other nations
92
وَ اصْطَفَيْتَنَا بِفَضْلِهِ دُوْنَ أَهْلِ الْمِلَلِ
waṣṭafaytanā bifaḍlihi dūna ahlil milal
And You selected us by its virtue over the followers of other religions
93
فَصُمْنَا بِأَمْرِكَ نَهَارَهُ
faṣumnā bi-amrika nahārah
So we fasted by Your command its days
94
وَ قُمْنَا بِعَوْنِكَ لَيْلَهُ
wa qumnā bi`awnika laylah
And we stood by Your help during its nights
95
مُتَعَرِّضِينَ بِصِيَامِهِ وَ قِيَامِهِ لِمَا عَرَّضْتَنَا لَهُ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ
muta`arriḍīna biṣiyāmihi wa qiyāmihi limā `arraḍtanā lahu min raḥmatik
Presenting ourselves through its fasting and its standing for what You have exposed us to from Your mercy
96
وَ تَسَبَّبْنَا إِلَيْهِ مِنْ مَثُوبَتِكَ
wa tasabbabnā ilayhi min mathūbatik
And seeking a means to what causes Your reward
97
وَ أَنْتَ الْمَلِيْءُ بِمَا رُغِبَ فِيْهِ إِلَيْكَ
wa antal malī-u bimā rughiba fīhi ilayk
And You are full of what is desired from You
98
اَلْجَوَادُ بِمَا سُئِلْتَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ
al jawādu bimā su-ilta min faḍlik
Generous with what is asked of Your bounty
99
اَلْقَرِيبُ إِلَى مَنْ حَاوَلَ قُرْبَكَ
al qarību ilā man ḥāwala qur-bak
Near to whoever seeks Your closeness
100
وَ قَدْ أَقَامَ فِينَا هَذَا الشَّهْرُ مَقَامَ حَمْدٍ
wa qad aqāma fīnā hadhash shahru maqāma ḥamd
And this month stood among us in a praiseworthy station
101
وَ صَحِبَنَا صُحْبَةَ مَبْرُورٍ
wa ṣaḥibanā ṣuḥbata mabrūr
And accompanied us with the companionship of one blessed
102
وَ أَرْبَحَنَا أَفْضَلَ أَرْبَاحِ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
wa ar-baḥanā afḍala ar-bāḥil `ālamīn
And it brought us the most excellent profit of all the world
103
ثُمَّ قَدْ فَارَقَنَا عِنْدَ تَمَامِ وَقْتِهِ وَ انْقِطَاعِ مُدَّتِهِ وَ وَفَاءِ عَدَدِهِ
thumma qad fāraqanā `inda tamāmi waqtihi wanqiṭā`i muddatihi wa wafā-i `adadih
Then it has parted from us at the completion of its time, the cutting off of its duration, and the fulfillment of its number
104
فَنَحْنُ مُوَدِّعُوهُ وِدَاعَ مَنْ عَزَّ فِرَاقُهُ عَلَيْنَا
fanaḥnu muwaddi`ūhu widā`a man `azza firāquhu `alaynā
So we bid it farewell as one whose departure is grievous to us
105
وَ غَمَّنَا وَ أَوْحَشَنَا انْصِرَافُهُ عَنَّا
wa ghammanā wa awḥashananṣirāfuhu `annā
And whose leaving makes us sad and lonely
106
وَ لَزِمَنَا لَهُ الذِّمَامُ الْمَحْفُوظُ
wa lazimanā lahudh dhimāmul maḥfūẓ
And upon us remains its protected covenant
107
وَ الْحُرْمَةُ الْمَرْعِيَّةُ وَ الْحَقُّ الْمَقْضِيُّ
wal ḥur-matul mar-`iyyatu wal ḥaqqul maqḍiyy
And its preserved sanctity and its fulfilled right
108
فَنَحْنُ قَائِلُونَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ
fanaḥnu qā-ilūnas salāmu `alayk
So we say: Peace be upon you
109
يَا شَهْرَ اللَّهِ الْأَكْبَرَ وَ يَا عِيدَ أَوْلِيَائِهِ
yā shahrallāhil akbara wa yā `īda awliyā-ih
O greatest month of Allah and O festival of His friends
110
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَكْرَمَ مَصْحُوبٍ مِنَ الْأَوْقَاتِ
as salāmu `alayka yā akrama maṣ-ḥūbin minal awqāt
Peace be upon you, O most noble of accompanying times
111
وَ يَا خَيْرَ شَهْرٍ فِيْ الْأَيَّامِ وَ السَّاعَاتِ
wa yā khayra shahrin fil ayyāmi was sā`āt
And O best month in days and hours
112
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ شَهْرٍ قَرُبَتْ فِيهِ الْآمَالُ
as salāmu `alayka min shahrin qarubat fīhil-āmāl
Peace be upon you, O month in which hopes drew near
113
وَ نُشِرَتْ فِيهِ الْأَعْمَالُ
wa nushirat fīhil a`māl
And good deeds were spread
114
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ قَرِينٍ جَلَّ قَدْرُهُ مَوْجُودًا
as salāmu `alayka min qarīnin jalla qadruhu mawjūdā
Peace be upon you, O companion whose worth was magnificent while present
115
وَ أَفْجَعَ فَقْدُهُ مَفْقُوْدًا وَ مَرْجُوٍّ آلَمَ فِرَاقُهُ
wa afja`a faqduhu mafqūdan wa mar-juwwin-ālama firāquh
And whose absence causes grief when missing, and anticipated one whose departure brings pain
116
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ أَلِيفٍ آنَسَ مُقْبِلًا فَسَرَّ
as salāmu `alayka min alīfin-ānasa muqbilan fasarr
Peace be upon you, O familiar one who came bringing joy
117
وَ أَوْحَشَ مُنْقَضِيًا فَمَضَّ
wa awḥasha munqaḍiyan famaḍḍ
And departed leaving loneliness
118
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ مُجَاوِرٍ رَقَّتْ فِيهِ الْقُلُوبُ وَ قَلَّتْ فِيهِ الذُّنُوبُ
as salāmu `alayka min mujāwirin raqqat fīhil qulūbu wa qallat fīhidh dhunūb
Peace be upon you, O neighbor in whom hearts became tender and sins diminished
119
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ نَاصِرٍ أَعَانَ عَلَى الشَّيْطَانِ
as salāmu `alayka min nāṣirin a`āna `alash shayṭān
Peace be upon you, O helper who aided against Satan
120
وَ صَاحِبٍ سَهَّلَ سُبُلَ الْإِحْسَانِ
wa ṣāḥibin sahhala subulal iḥsān
And O companion who made easy the paths of good
121
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ مَا أَكْثَرَ عُتَقَاءَ اللَّهِ فِيكَ
as salāmu `alayka mā akthara `utaqā-allāhi fīk
Peace be upon you - how numerous are Allah's freedmen in you
122
وَ مَا أَسْعَدَ مَنْ رَعَى حُرْمَتَكَ بِكَ
wa mā as`ada man ra`ā ḥur-mataka bik
And how happy is he who respected your sanctity through you
123
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ مَا كَانَ أَمْحَاكَ لِلذُّنُوبِ
as salāmu `alayka mā kāna amḥāka lidhhunūb
Peace be upon you - how you erased sins
124
وَ أَسْتَرَكَ لِأَنْوَاعِ الْعُيُوبِ
wa astaraka li-anwā`il `uyūb
And covered all types of faults
125
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ مَا كَانَ أَطْوَلَكَ عَلَى الْمُجْرِمِيْنَ
as salāmu `alayka mā kāna aṭwalaka `alal mujrimīn
Peace be upon you - how long you were for sinners
126
وَ أَهْيَبَكَ فِيْ صُدُورِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
wa ahyabaka fī ṣudūril mu-minīn
And how awesome you were in the hearts of the believers
127
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ شَهْرٍ لَا تُنَافِسُهُ الْأَيَّامُ
as salāmu `alayka min shahrin lā tunāfisuhul ayyām
Peace be upon you, O month with which other days cannot compete
128
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ شَهْرٍ هُوَ مِنْ كُلِّ أَمْرٍ سَلَامٌ
as salāmu `alayka min shahrin huwa min kulli amrin salām
Peace be upon you, O month which is peace in all matters
129
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ غَيْرَ كَرِيهِ الْمُصَاحَبَةِ
as salāmu `alayka ghayra karīhil muṣāḥabah
Peace be upon you, as you are not disliked in companionship
130
وَ لَا ذَمِيمِ الْمُلَابَسَةِ
wa lā dhamīmil mulābasah
Nor are your blessings criticized
131
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ كَمَا وَفَدْتَ عَلَيْنَا بِالْبَرَكَاتِ
as salāmu `alayka kamā wafadta `alaynā bil barakāt
Peace be upon you as you have come to us with blessings
132
وَ غَسَلْتَ عَنَّا دَنَسَ الْخَطِيئَاتِ
wa ghasalta `annā danasal khaṭī-āt
And cleansed us from the stains of sins
133
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ غَيْرَ مُوَدَّعٍ بَرَمًا
as salāmu `alayka ghayra muwadda`in baramā
Peace be upon you - you are not bid farewell in weariness
134
وَ لَا مَتْرُوكٍ صِيَامُهُ سَأَمًا
wa lā matrūkin ṣiyāmuhu sa-amā
Nor is your fasting left due to boredom
135
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ مَطْلُوْبٍ قَبْلَ وَقْتِهِ
as salāmu `alayka min maṭlūbin qabla waqtih
Peace be upon you, O sought-after one before your time
136
وَ مَحْزُونٍ عَلَيْهِ قَبْلَ فَوْتِهِ
wa maḥzūnin `alayhi qabla fawtih
And O one whose passing is grieved before its loss
137
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ كَمْ مِنْ سُوءٍ صُرِفَ بِكَ عَنَّا
as salāmu `alayka kam min sū-in ṣurifa bika `annā
Peace be upon you - how much evil has been diverted from us through you
138
وَ كَمْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ أُفِيضَ بِكَ عَلَيْنَا
wa kam min khayrin ufīḍa bika `alaynā
And how much good has been poured upon us through you
139
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ وَ عَلَى لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ
as salāmu `alayka wa `alā laylatil qadr
Peace be upon you and upon the Night of Decree
140
اَلَّتِيْ هِيَ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ
al latī hiya khayrun min alfi shahr
Which is better than a thousand months
141
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ مَا كَانَ أَحْرَصَنَا بِالْأَمْسِ عَلَيْكَ
as salāmu `alayka mā kāna aḥraṣanā bil amsi `alayk
Peace be upon you - how eager we were yesterday for you
142
وَ أَشَدَّ شَوْقَنَا غَدًا إِلَيْكَ
wa ashadda shawqanā ghadan ilayk
And how intense our longing will be tomorrow for you
143
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ وَ عَلَى فَضْلِكَ الَّذِيْ حُرِمْنَاهُ
as salāmu `alayka wa `alā faḍlikal ladhī ḥurimnāh
Peace be upon you and upon your bounty which we have been denied
144
وَ عَلَى مَاضٍ مِنْ بَرَكَاتِكَ سُلِبْنَاهُ
wa `alā māḍin min barakātika sulibnāh
And upon your past blessings which have been taken from us
145
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا أَهْلُ هَذَا الشَّهْرِ الَّذِيْ شَرَّفْتَنَا بِهِ
allāhumma innā ahlu hadhash shahril ladhī sharraftanā bih
O Allah, we are the people of this month which You have honored us with
146
وَ وَفَّقْتَنَا بِمَنِّكَ لَهُ حِيْنَ جَهِلَ الْأَشْقِيَاءُ وَقْتَهُ
wa waffaqtanā bimannika lahu ḥīna jahilal ashqiyā-u waqtah
And granted us success through Your favor when the wretched were ignorant of its time
147
وَ حُرِمُوْا لِشَقَائِهِمْ فَضْلَهُ
wa ḥurimū lishaqā-ihim faḍlah
And deprived of its virtue due to their wretchedness
148
أَنْتَ وَلِيُّ مَا آثَرْتَنَا بِهِ مِنْ مَعْرِفَتِهِ
anta waliyyu mā-āthar-tanā bihi min ma`rifatih
You are the guardian of what You have preferred us with of its knowledge
149
وَ هَدَيْتَنَا لَهُ مِنْ سُنَّتِهِ
wa hadaytanā lahu min sunnatih
And guided us to of its practice
150
وَ قَدْ تَوَلَّيْنَا بِتَوْفِيقِكَ صِيَامَهُ وَ قِيَامَهُ عَلَى تَقْصِيرٍ
wa qad tawallaynā bitawfīqika ṣiyāmahu wa qiyāmahu `alā taqṣīr
And we have undertaken, by Your conciliation, its fasting and its standing, with shortcoming
151
وَ أَدَّيْنَا فِيهِ قَلِيْلًا مِنْ كَثِيرٍ
wa addaynā fīhi qalīlan min kathīr
And we have performed in it little out of much
152
اَللَّهُمَّ فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ إِقْرَارًا بِالْإِسَاءَةِ
allāhumma falakal ḥamdu iqrāran bil isā-ah
O Allah, so to You belongs praise as an acknowledgment of wrongdoing
153
وَ اعْتِرَافًا بِالْإِضَاعَةِ وَ لَكَ مِنْ قُلُوبِنَا عَقْدُ النَّدَمِ
wa`tirāfan bil iḍā`ati wa laka min qulūbinā `aqdun nadam
And confession of negligence, and for You from our hearts is the contract of regret
154
وَ مِنْ أَلْسِنَتِنَا صِدْقُ الِاعْتِذَارِ
wa min alsinatinā ṣidqul i`tidhār
And from our tongues the truthfulness of excuse
155
فَأْجُرْنَا عَلَى مَا أَصَابَنَا فِيهِ مِنَ التَّفْرِيطِ
fa-jur-nā `alā mā aṣābanā fīhi minat tafrīṭ
So reward us, despite the neglect that has befallen us in this month
156
أَجْرًا نَسْتَدْرِكُ بِهِ الْفَضْلَ الْمَرْغُوبَ فِيهِ
ajran nastadriku bihil faḍlal mar-ghūba fīh
With a reward through which we may reach the desired virtue
157
وَ نَعْتَاضُ بِهِ مِنْ أَنْوَاعِ الذُّخْرِ الْمَحْرُوصِ عَلَيْهِ
wa na`tāḍu bihi min anwā`idh dhukhril maḥrūṣi `alayh
And we may receive compensation for the types of treasures we coveted
158
وَ أَوْجِبْ لَنَا عُذْرَكَ عَلَى مَا قَصَّرْنَا فِيهِ مِنْ حَقِّكَ
wa awjib lanā `udhraka `alā mā qaṣṣar-nā fīhi min ḥaqqik
And make obligatory for us Your excuse for what we have fallen short in fulfilling Your right
159
وَ ابْلُغْ بِأَعْمَارِنَا مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيْنَا مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ الْمُقْبِلِ
wablugh bi-a`mārinā mā bayna aydīnā min shahri ramaḍānal muqbil
And extend our lifespans until the approaching month of Ramadan
160
فَإِذَا بَلَّغْتَنَاهُ فَأَعِنَّا عَلَى تَنَاوُلِ
fa-idhā ballaghtanāhu fa-a`innā `alā tanāwul
And when You have extended our lives to reach it, then help us to undertake
161
مَا أَنْتَ أَهْلُهُ مِنَ الْعِبَادَةِ
mā anta ahluhu minal `ibādah
The worship that You deserve
162
وَ أَدِّنَا إِلَى الْقِيَامِ بِمَا يَسْتَحِقُّهُ مِنَ الطَّاعَةِ
wa addinā ilal qiyāmi bimā yastaḥiqquhu minaṭ ṭā`ah
And guide us to perform what it requires of obedience
163
وَ أَجْرِ لَنَا مِنْ صَالِحِ الْعَمَلِ
wa ajri lanā min ṣāliḥil `amal
And grant us to perform of righteous deeds
164
مَا يَكُونُ دَرَكًا لِحَقِّكَ فِيْ الشَّهْرَيْنِ مِنْ شُهُورِ الدَّهْرِ
mā yakūnu darakan liḥaqqika fish shahrayni min shuhūrid dahr
That which will fulfill Your right in both months of all time
165
اَللَّهُمَّ وَ مَا أَلْمَمْنَا بِهِ فِيْ شَهْرِنَا هَذَا مِنْ لَمَمٍ أَوْ إِثْمٍ
allāhumma wa mā almamnā bihi fī shahrinā hadhā min lamamin aw ithm
O Allah, whatever minor sins or major sins we have committed in this month
166
أَوْ وَاقَعْنَا فِيهِ مِنْ ذَنْبٍ وَ اكْتَسَبْنَا فِيهِ مِنْ خَطِيئَةٍ
aw wāqa`nā fīhi min dhanbin waktasabnā fīhi min khaṭī-ah
Or whatever fault we have fallen into or sin we have earned
167
عَلَى تَعَمُّدٍ مِنَّا أَوْ عَلَى نِسْيَانٍ ظَلَمْنَا فِيهِ أَنْفُسَنَا أَوِ انْتَهَكْنَا بِهِ حُرْمَةً مِنْ غَيْرِنَا
`alā ta`ammudin minnā aw `alā nisyānin ẓalamnā fīhi anfusanā awintahaknā bihi ḥur-matan min ghayrinā
Intentionally or forgetfully, wherein we have wronged ourselves or violated the sanctity of others
168
فَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ وَ اسْتُرْنَا بِسِتْرِكَ
faṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa-ālihi wastur-nā bisitrik
Then bless Muhammad and his family and cover us with Your covering
169
وَ اعْفُ عَنَّا بِعَفْوِكَ
wa`fu `annā bi`afwik
And pardon us with Your pardon
170
وَ لَا تَنْصِبْنَا فِيهِ لِأَعْيُنِ الشَّامِتِينَ
wa lā tanṣibnā fīhi li-a`yunish shāmitīn
And do not expose us in it to the eyes of the gloaters
171
وَ لَا تَبْسُطْ عَلَيْنَا فِيهِ أَلْسُنَ الطَّاعِنِيْنَ
wa lā tabsuṭ `alaynā fīhi alsunaṭ ṭā`inīn
And do not stretch out against us in it the tongues of the slanderers
172
وَ اسْتَعْمِلْنَا بِمَا يَكُونُ حِطَّةً وَ كَفَّارَةً
wasta`milnā bimā yakūnu ḥiṭṭatan wa kaffārah
And employ us in what will be a reduction and expiation
173
لِمَا أَنْكَرْتَ مِنَّا فِيهِ بِرَأْفَتِكَ الَّتِيْ لَا تَنْفَدُ
limā ankar-ta minnā fīhi bira-fatikal latī lā tanfad
For what You disapprove from us in it, through Your compassion which does not deplete
174
وَ فَضْلِكَ الَّذِيْ لَا يَنْقُصُ
wa faḍlikal ladhī lā yanquṣ
And Your bounty which does not diminish
175
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa-ālih
O Allah, bless Muhammad and his family
176
وَ اجْبُرْ مُصِيبَتَنَا بِشَهْرِنَا
wajbur muṣībatanā bishahrinā
And compensate our loss in our month
177
وَ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِيْ يَوْمِ عِيدِنَا وَ فِطْرِنَا
wa bārik lanā fī yawmi `īdinā wa fiṭrinā
And bless us in our day of our festival and our breaking fast
178
وَ اجْعَلْهُ مِنْ خَيْرِ يَوْمٍ مَرَّ عَلَيْنَا أَجْلَبِهِ لِعَفْوٍ وَ أَمْحَاهُ لِذَنْبٍ
waj`alhu min khayri yawmin marra `alaynā ajlabihi li`afwin wa amḥāhu lidhanb
And make it the best day that has passed over us, most conducive to pardon and most effacing of sin
179
وَ اغْفِرْ لَنَا مَا خَفِيَ مِنْ ذُنُوبِنَا وَ مَا عَلَنَ
waghfir lanā mā khafiya min dhunūbinā wa mā `alan
And forgive us our sins, both hidden and open
180
اَللَّهُمَّ اسْلَخْنَا بِانْسِلَاخِ هَذَا الشَّهْرِ مِنْ خَطَايَانَا
allāhummaslakhnā binsilākhi hadhash shahri min khaṭāyānā
O Allah, strip us, with the stripping away of this month, of our errors
181
وَ أَخْرِجْنَا بِخُرُوجِهِ مِنْ سَيِّئَاتِنَا
wa akhrijnā bikhurūjihi min sayyi-ātinā
And take us out, with its departure, from our misdeeds
182
وَ اجْعَلْنَا مِنْ أَسْعَدِ أَهْلِهِ بِهِ
waj`alnā min as`adi ahlihi bih
And make us among the most fortunate of its people
183
وَ أَجْزَلِهِمْ قِسْمًا فِيهِ وَ أَوْفَرِهِمْ حَظًّا مِنْهُ
wa ajzalihim qisman fīhi wa awfarihim ḥaẓẓan minh
And the most abundant of them in portion and the fullest of them in share
184
اَللَّهُمَّ وَ مَنْ رَعَى هَذَا الشَّهْرَ حَقَّ رِعَايَتِهِ
allāhumma wa man ra`ā hadhash shahra ḥaqqa ri`āyatih
O Allah, whoever observed this month as it ought to be observed
185
وَ حَفِظَ حُرْمَتَهُ حَقَّ حِفْظِهَا وَ قَامَ بِحُدُودِهِ حَقَّ قِيَامِهَا
wa ḥafiẓa ḥur-matahu ḥaqqa ḥifẓihā wa qāma biḥudūdihi ḥaqqa qiyāmihā
And guarded its sanctity as it ought to be guarded, and observed its limits as they ought to be observed
186
وَ اتَّقَى ذُنُوبَهُ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهَا أَوْ تَقَرَّبَ إِلَيْكَ بِقُرْبَةٍ
wattaqā dhunūbahu ḥaqqa tuqātihā aw taqarraba ilayka biqur-bah
And avoided sins as they ought to be avoided, or sought nearness to You through a means
187
أَوْجَبَتْ رِضَاكَ لَهُ وَ عَطَفَتْ رَحْمَتَكَ عَلَيْهِ
awjabat riḍāka lahu wa `aṭafat raḥmataka `alayh
That earned Your pleasure for him and Your mercy turned toward him
188
فَهَبْ لَنَا مِثْلَهُ مِنْ وُجْدِكَ
fahab lanā mithlahu min wujdik
Then grant us the like of it from Your abundance
189
وَ أَعْطِنَا أَضْعَافَهُ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ
wa a`ṭinā aḍ`āfahu min faḍlik
And give us many times its like from Your bounty
190
فَإِنَّ فَضْلَكَ لَا يَغِيضُ وَ إِنَّ خَزَائِنَكَ لَا تَنْقُصُ بَلْ تَفِيضُ
fa-inna faḍlaka lā yaghīḍu wa inna khazā-inaka lā tanquṣu bal tafīḍ
For Your bounty does not diminish, and Your treasuries do not decrease but overflow
191
وَ إِنَّ مَعَادِنَ إِحْسَانِكَ لَا تَفْنَى
wa inna ma`ādina iḥsānika lā tafnā
And the mines of Your kindness do not cease
192
وَ إِنَّ عَطَاءَكَ لِلْعَطَاءُ الْمُهَنَّا
wa inna `aṭā-aka lil`aṭā-ul muhannā
And surely Your giving is a gift that brings pleasure
193
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa-ālih
O Allah, bless Muhammad and his family
194
وَ اكْتُبْ لَنَا مِثْلَ أُجُورِ مَنْ صَامَهُ
waktub lanā mithla ujūri man ṣāmah
And write for us the like of the rewards of whoever fasted it
195
أَوْ تَعَبَّدَ لَكَ فِيهِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ
aw ta`abbada laka fīhi ilā yawmil qiyāmah
Or worshipped You in it until the Day of Resurrection
196
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ فِيْ يَوْمِ فِطْرِنَا
allāhumma innā natūbu ilayka fī yawmi fiṭrinā
O Allah, we repent to You in our day of our fast-breaking
197
اَلَّذِيْ جَعَلْتَهُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ عِيدًا وَ سُرُورًا
al ladhī ja`altahu lilmu-minīna `īdan wa surūrā
Which You have made for the believers a festival and a joy
198
وَ لِأَهْلِ مِلَّتِكَ مَجْمَعًا وَ مُحْتَشَدًا مِنْ كُلِّ ذَنْبٍ أَذْنَبْنَاهُ
wa li-ahli millatika majma`an wa muḥtashadan min kulli dhanbin adhnabnāh
And for the people of Your religion a time of assembly and gathering, from every sin we have committed
199
أَوْ سُوءٍ أَسْلَفْنَاهُ أَوْ خَاطِرِ شَرٍّ أَضْمَرْنَاهُ
aw sū-in aslafnāhu aw khāṭiri sharrin aḍmar-nāh
Or evil we have sent ahead, or wicked thought we have conceived
200
تَوْبَةَ مَنْ لَا يَنْطَوِيْ عَلَى رُجُوعٍ إِلَى ذَنْبٍ
tawbata man lā yanṭawī `alā rujū`in ilā dhanb
The repentance of one who does not harbor the thought of returning to sin
201
وَ لَا يَعُودُ بَعْدَهَا فِيْ خَطِيئَةٍ
wa lā ya`ūdu ba`dahā fī khaṭī-ah
And who will not go back thereafter to offense
202
تَوْبَةً نَصُوحًا خَلَصَتْ مِنَ الشَّكِّ وَ الِارْتِيَابِ
tawbatan naṣūḥan khalaṣat minash shakki wal ir-tiyāb
An unswerving repentance free from doubt and hesitation
203
فَتَقَبَّلْهَا مِنَّا وَ ارْضَ عَنَّا وَ ثَبِّتْنَا عَلَيْهَا
fataqabbalhā minnā war-ḍa `annā wa thabbitnā `alayhā
So accept it from us and be pleased with us and establish us in it
204
اَللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْنَا خَوْفَ عِقَابِ الْوَعِيدِ
allāhummar-zuqnā khawfa `iqābil wa`īd
O Allah, provide us with fear of the punishment of threat
205
وَ شَوْقَ ثَوَابِ الْمَوْعُودِ حَتَّى نَجِدَ لَذَّةَ مَا نَدْعُوكَ بِهِ
wa shawqa thawābil maw`ūdi ḥattā najida ladhhata mā nad`ūka bih
And yearning for the reward of promise so that we may find the pleasure of that for which we supplicate You
206
وَ كَأْبَةَ مَا نَسْتَجِيرُ مِنْهُ
wa ka-bata mā nastajīru minh
And the sorrow of that from which we seek refuge in You
207
وَ اجْعَلْنَا عِنْدَكَ مِنَ التَّوَّابِينَ الَّذِيْنَ أَوْجَبْتَ لَهُمْ مَحَبَّتَكَ
waj`alnā `indaka minat tawwābīnal ladhīna awjabta lahum maḥabbatak
And make us with You among the repentant for whom You have made Your love obligatory
208
وَ قَبِلْتَ مِنْهُمْ مُرَاجَعَةَ طَاعَتِكَ يَا أَعْدَلَ الْعَادِلِينَ
wa qabilta minhum murāja`ata ṭā`atika yā a`dalal `ādilīn
And from whom You have accepted the return to Your obedience, O Most Just of the just
209
اَللَّهُمَّ تَجَاوَزْ عَنْ آبَائِنَا وَ أُمَّهَاتِنَا وَ أَهْلِ دِينِنَا جَمِيعًا
allāhumma tajāwaz `an-ābā-inā wa ummahātinā wa ahli dīninā jamī`ā
O Allah, show forbearance toward our fathers and our mothers and all the people of our religion
210
مَنْ سَلَفَ مِنْهُمْ وَ مَنْ غَبَرَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ
man salafa minhum wa man ghabara ilā yawmil qiyāmah
Those who have gone before and those who will follow until the Day of Resurrection
211
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيِّنَا وَ آلِهِ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin nabiyyinā wa-ālih
O Allah, bless Muhammad our Prophet and his family
212
كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى مَلَائِكَتِكَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ
kamā ṣallayta `alā malā-ikatikal muqarrabīn
As You have blessed Your angels brought nigh
213
وَ صَلِّ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ
wa ṣalli `alayhi wa-ālih
And bless him and his family
214
كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى أَنْبِيَائِكَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
kamā ṣallayta `alā anbiyā-ikal mur-salīn
As You have blessed Your prophets sent out
215
وَ صَلِّ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى عِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِيْنَ
wa ṣalli `alayhi wa-ālihi kamā ṣallayta `alā `ibādikaṣ ṣāliḥīn
And bless him and his family as You have blessed Your righteous servants
216
وَ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ ذٰلِكَ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
wa afḍala min dhālika yā rabbal `ālamīn
And better than that, O Lord of the Worlds
217
صَلَاةً تَبْلُغُنَا بَرَكَتُهَا وَ يَنَالُنَا نَفْعُهَا
ṣalātan tablughunā barakatuhā wa yanālunā naf`uhā
A blessing whose benediction will reach us, whose benefit will attain us
218
وَ يُسْتَجَابُ لَهَا دُعَاؤُنَا
wa yustajābu lahā du`a-unā
And through which our supplication will be granted
219
إِنَّكَ أَكْرَمُ مَنْ رُغِبَ إِلَيْهِ
innaka akramu man rughiba ilayh
Surely You are the most generous of those who are entreated
220
وَ أَكْفَى مَنْ تُوُكِّلَ عَلَيْهِ
wa akfā man tuwukkila `alayh
And the most sufficient of those in whom trust is placed
221
وَ أَعْطَى مَنْ سُئِلَ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ
wa a`ṭā man su-ila min faḍlih
And the most bestowing of those from whose bounty is asked
222
وَ أَنْتَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
wa anta `alā kulli shay-in qadīr
And You are over all things powerful
