بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
1
أَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa ālih
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family
2
وَاكْسِرْ شَهْوَتِيْ عَنْ كُلِّ مَحْرَمٍ
waksir shahwatī `an kulli maḥram
And subdue my desire for all that is forbidden
3
وَازْوِ حِرْصِيْ عَنْ كُلِّ مَأْثَمٍ
wazwi ḥir-ṣī `an kulli ma-tham
And turn my greed away from all sins
4
وَامْنَعْنِيْ عَنْ أَذَى كُلِّ مُؤْمِنٍ وَمُؤْمِنَةٍ وَمُسْلِمٍ وَمُسْلِمَةٍ
wamna`nī `an adhā kulli mu-minin wamu-minatin wamuslimin wamuslimah
And prevent me from harming any believing man or woman, any Muslim man or woman
5
اَللَّهُمَّ وَأَيُّمَا عَبْدٍ نَالَ مِنِّيْ مَا حَظَرْتَ عَلَيْهِ
allāhumma wa-ayyumā `abdin nāla minnī mā ḥaẓar-ta `alayh
O Allah, whichever servant has taken from me what You have forbidden him
6
وَانْتَهَكَ مِنِّيْ مَا حَجَزْتَ عَلَيْهِ
wantahaka minnī mā ḥajazta `alayh
And violated what You have barred him from me
7
فَمَضَى بِظُلَامَتِيْ مَيِّتًا
famaḍā biẓulāmatī mayyitā
And has passed away while still oppressing me
8
أَوْ حَصَلَتْ لِيْ قِبَلَهُ حَيًّا
aw ḥaṣalat lī qibalahu ḥayyā
Or is still alive while I have rights over him
9
فَاغْفِرْ لَهُ مَا أَلَمَّ بِهِ مِنِّي
faghfir lahu mā alamma bihi minnī
Forgive him for what he has done against me
10
وَاعْفُ لَهُ عَمَّا أَدْبَرَ بِهِ عَنِّي
wa`fu lahu `ammā adbara bihi `annī
And pardon him for what he has turned away from me
11
وَلَا تَقِفْهُ عَلَى مَا ارْتَكَبَ فِيَّ
walā taqifhu `alā mar-takaba fiyy
And do not hold him accountable for what he has committed against me
12
وَلَا تَكْشِفْهُ عَمَّا اكْتَسَبَ بِي
walā takshifhu `ammaktasaba bī
And do not expose what he has earned by wronging me
13
وَاجْعَلْ مَا سَمَحْتُ بِهِ مِنَ الْعَفْوِ عَنْهُمْ
waj`al mā samaḥtu bihi minal `afwi `anhum
And make my lenient forgiveness towards them
14
وَتَبَرَّعْتُ بِهِ مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ عَلَيْهِمْ
watabarra`tu bihi minaṣ ṣadaqati `alayhim
And my voluntary charity upon them
15
أَزْكَى صَدَقَاتِ الْمُتَصَدِّقِينَ
azkā ṣadaqātil mutaṣaddiqīn
The purest of all charities of those who give charity
16
وَأَعْلَى صِلَاتِ الْمُتَقَرِّبِينَ
wa-a`lā ṣilātil mutaqarribīn
And the highest of all connections of those who seek nearness to You
17
وَعَوِّضْنِيْ مِنْ عَفْوِيْ عَنْهُمْ عَفْوَكَ
wa`awwiḍnī min `afwī `anhum `afwak
And compensate me for my forgiveness of them with Your forgiveness
18
وَمِنْ دُعَائِيْ لَهُمْ رَحْمَتَكَ
wamin du`ā-ī lahum raḥmatak
And for my prayers for them with Your mercy
19
حَتَّى يَسْعَدَ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنَّا بِفَضْلِكَ
ḥattā yas`ada kullu wāḥidin minnā bifaḍlik
So that each one of us may be blessed by Your grace
20
وَيَنْجُوَ كُلٌّ مِنَّا بِمَنِّكَ
wayanjuwa kullun minnā bimannik
And each of us may be saved by Your favor
21
اَللَّهُمَّ وَأَيُّمَا عَبْدٍ مِنْ عَبِيدِكَ
allāhumma wa-ayyumā `abdin min `abīdik
O Allah, whichever of Your servants
22
أَدْرَكَهُ مِنِّيْ دَرَكٌ أَوْ مَسَّهُ مِنْ نَاحِيَتِيْ أَذًى
adrakahu minnī darakun aw massahu min nāḥiyatī adhā
Has suffered harm from me or been hurt by me in any way
23
أَوْ لَحِقَهُ بِيْ أَوْ بِسَبَبِيْ ظُلْمٌ
aw laḥiqahu bī aw bisababī ẓulm
Or has been wronged by me or because of me
24
فَفُتُّهُ بِحَقِّهِ
fafuttuhu biḥaqqih
And I have deprived him of his right
25
أَوْ سَبَقْتُهُ بِمَظْلِمَتِهِ
aw sabaqtuhu bimaẓlimatih
Or I have preceded him in oppression
26
فَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
faṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa ālih
Then send blessings upon Muhammad and his family
27
وَأَرْضِهِ عَنِّيْ مِنْ وُجْدِكَ وَأَوْفِهِ حَقَّهُ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ
wa-ar-ḍihi `annī min wujdika wa-awfihi ḥaqqahu min `indik
And satisfy him with me from Your wealth and fulfill his right from Your presence
28
ثُمَّ قِنِيْ مَا يُوجِبُ لَهُ حُكْمُكَ
thumma qinī mā yūjibu lahu ḥukmuk
Then protect me from what Your judgment requires for him
29
وَخَلِّصْنِيْ مِمَّا يَحْكُمُ بِهِ عَدْلُكَ
wakhalliṣnī mimmā yaḥkumu bihi `adluk
And save me from what Your justice decrees
30
فَإِنَّ قُوَّتِيْ لَا تَسْتَقِلُّ بِنَقِمَتِكَ
fa-inna quwwatī lā tastaqillu binaqimatik
For my strength cannot withstand Your vengeance
31
وَإِنَّ طَاقَتِيْ لَا تَنْهَضُ بِسُخْطِكَ
wa-inna ṭāqatī lā tanhaḍu bisukhṭik
And my power cannot rise against Your displeasure
32
فَإِنَّكَ إِنْ تُكَافِنِيْ بِالْحَقِّ تُهْلِكْنِي
fa-innaka in tukāfinī bil ḥaqqi tuhliknī
For if You repay me with justice, You will destroy me
33
وَإِلَّا تَغَمَّدْنِيْ بِرَحْمَتِكَ تُوبِقْنِي
wa-illā taghammadnī biraḥmatika tūbiqnī
And unless You shelter me with Your mercy, You will ruin me
34
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَسْتَوْهِبُكَ يَا إِلٰهِيْ مَا لَا يُنْقِصُكَ بَذْلُهُ
allāhumma innī astawhibuka yā ilāhī mā lā yunqiṣuka badhluh
O Allah, I ask You, my God, to grant what does not decrease when You give it
35
وَأَسْتَحْمِلُكَ مَا لَا يَبْهَظُكَ حَمْلُهُ
wa-astaḥmiluka mā lā yabhaẓuka ḥamluh
And I ask You to bear what does not burden You to carry
36
أَسْتَوْهِبُكَ يَا إِلَهِيْ نَفْسِيَ الَّتِيْ لَمْ تَخْلُقْهَا لِتَمْتَنِعَ بِهَا مِنْ سُوءٍ
astawhibuka yā ilahī nafsiyal latī lam takhluqhā litamtani`a bihā min su
I ask You, my God, for my soul which You did not create to protect itself from evil
37
أَوْ لِتَطَرَّقَ بِهَا إِلَى نَفْعٍ
aw litaṭarraqa bihā ilā naf`
Or to attain benefit on its own
38
وَلَكِنْ أَنْشَأْتَهَا إِثْبَاتًا لِقُدْرَتِكَ عَلَى مِثْلِهَا
walakin ansha-tahā ithbātan liqudratika `alā mithlihā
But You created it as a proof of Your power over its like
39
وَاحْتِجَاجًا بِهَا عَلَى شَكْلِهَا
waḥtijājan bihā `alā shaklihā
And as an argument against its similar forms
40
وَأَسْتَحْمِلُكَ مِنْ ذُنُوبِيْ مَا قَدْ بَهَظَنِيْ حَمْلُهُ
wa-astaḥmiluka min dhunūbī mā qad bahaẓanī ḥamluh
And I ask You to bear my sins which have overburdened me
41
وَأَسْتَعِينُ بِكَ عَلَى مَا قَدْ فَدَحَنِيْ ثِقْلُهُ
wa-asta`īnu bika `alā mā qad fadaḥanī thiqluh
And I seek Your help with what has weighed heavily upon me
42
فَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
faṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa ālih
So send blessings upon Muhammad and his family
43
وَهَبْ لِنَفْسِيْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهَا نَفْسِي
wahab linafsī `alā ẓulmihā nafsī
And grant my soul despite its wrongdoing
44
وَوَكِّلْ رَحْمَتَكَ بِاحْتِمَالِ إِصْرِي
wawakkil raḥmataka biḥtimāli iṣrī
And entrust Your mercy to bear my burden
45
فَكَمْ قَدْ لَحِقَتْ رَحْمَتُكَ بِالْمُسِيئِينَ
fakam qad laḥiqat raḥmatuka bil musī-īn
For how often has Your mercy reached the wrongdoers
46
وَكَمْ قَدْ شَمِلَ عَفْوُكَ الظَّالِمِيْنَ
wakam qad shamila `afwukaẓ ẓālimīn
And how often has Your pardon encompassed the oppressors
47
فَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ وَاجْعَلْنِيْ أُسْوَةَ مَنْ قَدْ أَنْهَضْتَهُ
faṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa ālihi waj`alnī uswata man qad anhaḍtah
So send blessings upon Muhammad and his family and make me an example of one whom You have raised
48
بِتَجَاوُزِكَ عَنْ مَصَارِعِ الْخَاطِئِينَ
bitajāwuzika `an maṣāri`il khāṭi-īn
By Your forgiveness from the downfalls of the sinners
49
وَخَلَّصْتَهُ بِتَوْفِيقِكَ مِنْ وَرَطَاتِ الْمُجْرِمِيْنَ
wakhallaṣtahu bitawfīqika min waraṭātil mujrimīn
And whom You have saved by Your guidance from the entanglements of the criminals
50
فَأَصْبَحَ طَلِيقَ عَفْوِكَ مِنْ إِسَارِ سُخْطِكَ
fa-aṣbaḥa ṭalīqa `afwika min isāri sukhṭik
So that he became freed by Your pardon from the captivity of Your anger
51
وَعَتِيقَ صُنْعِكَ مِنْ وَثَاقِ عَدْلِكَ
wa`atīqa ṣun`ika min wathāqi `adlik
And liberated by Your doing from the bonds of Your justice
52
إِنَّكَ إِنْ تَفْعَلْ ذٰلِكَ يَا إِلَهِيْ تَفْعَلْهُ بِمَنْ
innaka in taf`al dhālika yā ilahī taf`alhu biman
If You do that, my God, You will be doing it for one
53
لَا يَجْحَدُ اسْتِحْقَاقَ عُقُوبَتِكَ
lā yajḥadustiḥqāqa `uqūbatik
Who does not deny deserving Your punishment
54
وَلَا يُبَرِّئُ نَفْسَهُ مِنِ اسْتِيجَابِ نَقِمَتِكَ
walā yubarri-u nafsahu ministījābi naqimatik
And does not absolve himself from meriting Your vengeance
55
تَفْعَلُ ذٰلِكَ يَا إِلَهِيْ بِمَنْ خَوْفُهُ مِنْكَ أَكْثَرُ مِنْ طَمَعِهِ فِيكَ
taf`alu dhālika yā ilahī biman khawfuhu minka aktharu min ṭama`ihi fīk
You will be doing that, my God, for one whose fear of You is greater than his hope in You
56
وَبِمَنْ يَأْسُهُ مِنَ النَّجَاةِ أَوْكَدُ مِنْ رَجَائِهِ لِلْخَلَاصِ
wabiman ya-suhu minan najāti awkadu min rajā-ihi lilkhalāṣ
And whose despair of salvation is stronger than his expectation of deliverance
57
لَا أَنْ يَكُونَ يَأْسُهُ قُنُوطًا
lā an yakūna ya-suhu qunūṭā
Not that his despair is desperation
58
أَوْ أَنْ يَكُونَ طَمَعُهُ اغْتِرَارًا
aw an yakūna ṭama`uhughtirārā
Or that his hope is deception
59
بَلْ لِقِلَّةِ حَسَنَاتِهِ بَيْنَ سَيِّئَاتِهِ
bal liqillati ḥasanātihi bayna sayyi-ātih
But because his good deeds are few among his bad deeds
60
وَضَعْفِ حُجَجِهِ فِيْ جَمِيْعِ تَبِعَاتِهِ
waḍa`fi ḥujajihi fī jamī`i tabi`ātih
And his arguments are weak in all his accountabilities
61
فَأَمَّا أَنْتَ يَا إِلَهِيْ فَأَهْلٌ أَنْ
fa-ammā anta yā ilahī fa-ahlun an
But You, my God, are worthy that
62
لَا يَغْتَرَّ بِكَ الصِّدِّيقُونَ
lā yaghtarra bikaṣ ṣiddīqūn
The truthful should not be deceived about You
63
وَلَا يَيْأَسَ مِنْكَ الْمُجْرِمُوْنَ
walā yay-asa minkal mujrimūn
And the sinners should not despair of You
64
لِأَنَّكَ الرَّبُّ الْعَظِيمُ الَّذِيْ لَا يَمْنَعُ أَحَدًا فَضْلَهُ
li-annakar rabbul `aẓīmul ladhī lā yamna`u aḥadan faḍlah
For You are the Magnificent Lord who does not withhold His bounty from anyone
65
وَلَا يَسْتَقْصِيْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ حَقَّهُ
walā yastaqṣī min aḥadin ḥaqqah
And does not demand full payment of His due from anyone
66
تَعَالَى ذِكْرُكَ عَنِ الْمَذْكُورِينَ
ta`ālā dhikruka `anil madhkūrīn
Exalted is Your mention above all who are mentioned
67
وَتَقَدَّسَتْ أَسْمَاؤُكَ عَنِ الْمَنْسُوبِينَ
wataqaddasat asma-uka `anil mansūbīn
And sanctified are Your names above all who are attributed
68
وَفَشَتْ نِعْمَتُكَ فِيْ جَمِيْعِ الْمَخْلُوقِينَ
wafashat ni`matuka fī jamī`il makhlūqīn
And Your blessings have spread among all created beings
69
فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلَى ذٰلِكَ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
falakal ḥamdu `alā dhālika yā rabbal `ālamīn
So to You belongs all praise for that, O Lord of the Worlds
