بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
1
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رِضًى بِحُكْمِ اللَّهِ
al ḥamdu lillāhi riḍan biḥukmillāh
All praise is for Allah, in satisfaction with the decree of Allah
2
شَهِدْتُ أَنَّ اللَّهَ قَسَمَ مَعَايِشَ عِبَادِهِ بِالْعَدْلِ
shahidtu annallāha qasama ma`āyisha `ibādihi bil `adl
I bear witness that Allah distributes the livelihoods of His servants with justice
3
وَ أَخَذَ عَلَى جَمِيْعِ خَلْقِهِ بِالْفَضْلِ
wa akhadha `alā jamī`i khalqihi bil faḍl
And He deals with all of His creation with grace
4
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa-ālih
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family
5
وَ لَا تَفْتِنِّيْ بِمَا أَعْطَيْتَهُمْ
wa lā taftinnī bimā a`ṭaytahum
And do not test me with what You have given them
6
وَ لَا تَفْتِنْهُمْ بِمَا مَنَعْتَنِيْ فَأَحْسُدَ خَلْقَكَ، وَ أَغْمَطَ حُكْمَكَ
wa lā taftinhum bimā mana`tanī fa-aḥsuda khalqak, wa aghmaṭa ḥukmak
And do not test them with what You have withheld from me, lest I envy Your creation and disparage Your judgment
7
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa-ālih
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family
8
وَ طَيِّبْ بِقَضَائِكَ نَفْسِي
wa ṭayyib biqaḍā-ika nafsī
And make my soul content with Your decree
9
وَ وَسِّعْ بِمَوَاقِعِ حُكْمِكَ صَدْرِي
wa wassi` bimawāqi`i ḥukmika ṣadrī
And expand my chest through the occurrences of Your command
10
وَ هَبْ لِيَ الثِّقَةَ لِأُقِرَّ مَعَهَا
wa hab liyath thiqata li-uqirra ma`ahā
And grant me the confidence to acknowledge
11
بِأَنَّ قَضَاءَكَ لَمْ يَجْرِ إِلَّا بِالْخِيَرَةِ
bi-anna qaḍā-aka lam yajri illā bil khiyarah
That Your decree only flows with what is best
12
وَ اجْعَلْ شُكْرِيْ لَكَ عَلَى مَا زَوَيْتَ عَنِّي
waj`al shukrī laka `alā mā zawayta `annī
And make my gratitude to You for what You have kept away from me
13
أَوْفَرَ مِنْ شُكْرِيْ إِيَّاكَ عَلَى مَا خَوَّلْتَنِي
awfara min shukrī iyyāka `alā mā khawwaltanī
More abundant than my gratitude to You for what You have bestowed upon me
14
وَ اعْصِمْنِيْ مِنْ أَنْ أَظُنَّ بِذِيْ عَدَمٍ خَسَاسَةً
wa`ṣimnī min an aẓunna bidhī `adamin khasāsah
And protect me from considering someone of little means as lowly
15
أَوْ أَظُنَّ بِصَاحِبِ ثَرْوَةٍ فَضْلًا
aw aẓunna biṣāḥibi thar-watin faḍlā
Or considering a wealthy person as superior
16
فَإِنَّ الشَّرِيفَ مَنْ شَرَّفَتْهُ طَاعَتُكَ
fa-innash sharīfa man sharrafat-hu ṭā`atuk
For truly, the noble one is whom Your obedience has ennobled
17
وَ الْعَزِيزَ مَنْ أَعَزَّتْهُ عِبَادَتُكَ
wal `azīza man a`azzat-hu `ibādatuk
And the mighty one is whom Your worship has strengthened
18
فَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
faṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa-ālih
So send blessings upon Muhammad and his family
19
وَ مَتِّعْنَا بِثَرْوَةٍ لَا تَنْفَدُ، وَ أَيِّدْنَا بِعِزٍّ لَا يُفْقَدُ
wa matti`nā bithar-watin lā tanfad, wa ayyidnā bi`izzin lā yufqad
And provide us with wealth that does not deplete, and support us with honor that is not lost
20
وَ أَسْرِحْنَا فِيْ مُلْكِ الْأَبَدِ
wa asriḥnā fī mulkil abad
And lead us into the eternal kingdom
21
إِنَّكَ الْوَاحِدُ الْأَحَدُ الصَّمَدُ
innakal wāḥidul aḥaduṣ ṣamad
Indeed, You are the One, the Unique, the Independent
22
اَلَّذِيْ لَمْ تَلِدْ وَ لَمْ تُولَدْ
al ladhī lam talid wa lam tūlad
Who has not begotten nor was begotten
23
وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَكَ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ
wa lam yakun laka kufuwan aḥad
And there is none comparable to You
