بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
1
أَللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ ابْتَلَيْتَنَا فِيْ أَرْزَاقِنَا بِسُوءِ الظَّنِّ
allāhumma innakabtalaytanā fī ar-zāqinā bisū-iẓ ẓann
O Allah, You have tested us in our sustenance with evil thoughts

وَفِيْ آجَالِنَا بِطُولِ الْأَمَلِ
wafī-ājālinā biṭūlil amal
And in our lifespans with long hopes
3
حَتَّى الْتَمَسْنَا أَرْزَاقَكَ مِنْ عِنْدِ الْمَرْزُوقِينَ
ḥattal tamasnā ar-zāqaka min `indil mar-zūqīn
Until we seek Your sustenance from those who are themselves sustained
4
وَطَمِعْنَا بِآمَالِنَا فِيْ أَعْمَارِ الْمُعَمَّرِينَ
waṭami`nā bi-āmālinā fī a`māril mu`ammarīn
And we covet with our hopes the lifespans of the long-lived
5
فَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
faṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa ālih
So bless Muhammad and his family
6
وَهَبْ لَنَا يَقِينًا صَادِقًا تَكْفِينَا بِهِ مِنْ مَؤونَةِ الطَّلَبِ
wahab lanā yaqīnan ṣādiqan takfīnā bihi min ma-unatiṭ ṭalab
And grant us true certainty by which You spare us the burden of seeking
7
وَأَلْهِمْنَا ثِقَةً خَالِصَةً تُعْفِينَا بِهَا مِنْ شِدَّةِ النَّصَبِ
wa-alhimnā thiqatan khāliṣatan tu`fīnā bihā min shiddatin naṣab
And inspire us with pure trust by which You relieve us from the hardship of toil
8
وَاجْعَلْ مَا صَرَّحْتَ بِهِ مِنْ عِدَتِكَ فِيْ وَحْيِكَ
waj`al mā ṣarraḥta bihi min `idatika fī waḥyik
And make what You have declared of Your promise in Your revelation
9
وَأَتْبَعْتَهُ مِنْ قِسَمِكَ فِيْ كِتَابِكَ
wa-atba`tahu min qisamika fī kitābik
And followed it with Your oaths in Your Book
10
قَاطِعًا لِاهْتِمَامِنَا بِالرِّزْقِ الَّـذِيْ تَكَفَّلْتَ بِهِ
qāṭi`an lihtimāminā birrizqil ladhī takaffalta bih
A means to end our anxiety about the sustenance which You have guaranteed
11
وَحَسْمًا لِلْإِشْتِغَالِ بِمَا ضَمِنْتَ الْكِفَايَةَ لَهُ
waḥasman lil-ishtighāli bimā ḍamintal kifāyata lah
And a way to cease our preoccupation with that which You have assured sufficiency
12
فَقُلْتَ وَقَوْلُكَ الْحَقُّ الَاصْـدَقُ
faqulta waqawlukal ḥaqqul aṣdaq
For You have said - and Your word is the truest and most honest
13
وَأَقْسَمْتَ وَقَسَمُكَ الْاَبَرُّ الْاَوْفَى
wa-aqsamta waqasamukal abarrul awfā
And You have sworn - and Your oath is the most righteous and most fulfilling
14
وَفِيْ السَّمَاءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ
wafis samā-i rizqukum wamā tū`adūn
"And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised"
15
ثُمَّ قُلْتَ فَوَرَبِّ السَّمَاءِ وَالْاَرْضِ إِنَّهُ لَحَقٌّ مِثْلَ مَا أَنَّكُمْ تَنْطِقُوْنَ
thumma qulta fawarabbis samā-i wal-ar-ḍi innahu laḥaqqun mithla mā annakum tanṭiqūn
Then You said, "So by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking"
