بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
1
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin `abdik
O Allah, bless Muhammad, Your servant
2
وَ رَسُولِكَ، وَ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ
wa rasūlik, wa ahli baytihiṭ ṭāhirīn
And Your messenger, and his pure household
3
وَ اخْصُصْهُمْ بِأَفْضَلِ صَلَوَاتِكَ وَ رَحْمَتِكَ وَ بَرَكَاتِكَ وَ سَلَامِكَ
wakhṣuṣ-hum bi-afḍali ṣalawātika wa raḥmatika wa barakātika wa salāmik
And favor them with the best of Your blessings, mercy, benedictions, and peace
4
وَ اخْصُصِ اللَّهُمَّ وَالِدَيَّ بِالْكَرَامَةِ لَدَيْكَ
wakhṣuṣillāhumma wālidayya bil karāmati ladayk
And O Allah, especially honor my parents with dignity from You
5
وَ الصَّلَاةِ مِنْكَ، يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ
waṣ ṣalāti mink, yā ar-ḥamar rāḥimīn
And blessings from You, O Most Merciful of the merciful
6
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa-ālih
O Allah, bless Muhammad and his family
7
وَ أَلْهِمْنِيْ عِلْمَ مَا يَجِبُ لَهُمَا عَلَيَّ إِلْهَامًا
wa alhimnī `ilma mā yajibu lahumā `alayya ilhāmā
And inspire me with knowledge of what is due to them from me
8
وَ اجْمَعْ لِيْ عِلْمَ ذٰلِكَ كُلِّهِ تَمَامًا
wajma` lī `ilma dhālika kullihi tamāmā
And gather for me complete knowledge of all that
9
ثُمَّ اسْتَعْمِلْنِيْ بِمَا تُلْهِمُنِيْ مِنْهُ
thummasta`milnī bimā tulhimunī minh
Then make me act according to what You inspire in me
10
وَ وَفِّقْنِيْ لِلنُّفُوذِ فِيمَا تُبَصِّرُنِيْ مِنْ عِلْمِهِ
wa waffiqnī linnufūdhi fīmā tubaṣṣirunī min `ilmih
And help me to carry out what You reveal to me of that knowledge
11
حَتَّى لَا يَفُوتَنِيْ اسْتِعْمَالُ شَيْءٍ عَلَّمْتَنِيهِ
ḥattā lā yafūtanisti`mālu shay-in `allamtanīh
So that I may not fail to use anything You have taught me
12
وَ لَا تَثْقُلَ أَرْكَانِيْ عَنِ الْحَفُوفِ فِيمَا أَلْهَمْتَنِيهِ
wa lā tathqula ar-kānī `anil ḥafūfi fīmā alhamtanīh
And my limbs may not feel heavy in performing what You have inspired me
13
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa-ālih
O Allah, bless Muhammad and his family
14
كَمَا شَرَّفْتَنَا بِهِ
kamā sharraftanā bih
As You have honored us through him
15
وَ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
wa ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa-ālih
And bless Muhammad and his family
16
كَمَا أَوْجَبْتَ لَنَا الْحَقَّ عَلَى الْخَلْقِ بِسَبَبِهِ
kamā awjabta lanal ḥaqqa `alal khalqi bisababih
As You have made rights incumbent upon creation because of him
17
اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِيْ أَهَابُهُمَا هَيْبَةَ السُّلْطَانِ الْعَسُوفِ
allāhummaj`alnī ahābuhumā haybatas sulṭānil `asūf
O Allah, make me fear them as one fears a harsh ruler
18
وَ أَبَرَّهُمَا بِرَّ الْأُمِّ الرَّؤُوفِ
wa abarrahumā birral ummir ra-ūf
And be dutiful to them with the devotion of a compassionate mother
19
وَ اجْعَلْ طَاعَتِيْ لِوَالِدَيَّ وَ بِرِّيْ بِهِمَا
waj`al ṭā`atī liwālidayya wa birrī bihimā
And make my obedience to my parents and my dutifulness to them
20
أَقَرَّ لِعَيْنِيْ مِنْ رَقْدَةِ الْوَسْنَانِ
aqarra li`aynī min raqdatil wasnān
More delightful to my eyes than the sleep of the drowsy
21
وَ أَثْلَجَ لِصَدْرِيْ مِنْ شَرْبَةِ الظَّمْآنِ
wa athlaja liṣadrī min shar-batiẓ ẓam-ān
And more soothing to my heart than a drink to the thirsty
22
حَتَّى أُوثِرَ عَلَى هَوَايَ هَوَاهُمَا
ḥattā ūthira `alā hawāya hawāhumā
So that I may prefer their desires over my desires
23
وَ أُقَدِّمَ عَلَى رِضَايَ رِضَاهُمَا وَ أَسْتَكْثِرَ بِرَّهُمَا
wa uqaddima `alā riḍāya riḍāhumā wa astakthira birrahumā
And put their satisfaction before my satisfaction and consider their kindness to me as plentiful
24
بِيْ وَ اِنْ قَلَّ وَ أَسْتَقِلَّ بِرِّيْ بِهِمَا وَ اِنْ كَثُرَ
bī wa in qalla wa astaqilla birrī bihimā wa in kathur
Even if it is little, and consider my kindness to them as little even if it is abundant
25
اَللَّهُمَّ خَفِّضْ لَهُمَا صَوْتِي
allāhumma khaffiḍ lahumā ṣawtī
O Allah, lower my voice before them
26
وَ أَطِبْ لَهُمَا كَلَامِي
wa aṭib lahumā kalāmī
And make my speech pleasing to them
27
وَ أَلِنْ لَهُمَا عَرِيكَتِي
wa alin lahumā `arīkatī
And soften my conduct toward them
28
وَ اعْطِفْ عَلَيْهِمَا قَلْبِي
wa`ṭif `alayhimā qalbī
And make my heart compassionate toward them
29
وَ صَيِّرْنِيْ بِهِمَا رَفِيقًا، وَ عَلَيْهِمَا شَفِيقًا
wa ṣayyir-nī bihimā rafīqā, wa `alayhimā shafīqā
And make me gentle with them and caring for them
30
اَللَّهُمَّ اشْكُرْ لَهُمَا تَرْبِيَتِيْ، وَ أَثِبْهُمَا عَلَى تَكْرِمَتِي
allāhummashkur lahumā tar-biyatī, wa athibhumā `alā takrimatī
O Allah, reward them for raising me, and recompense them for honoring me
31
وَ احْفَظْ لَهُمَا مَا حَفِظَاهُ مِنِّيْ فِيْ صِغَرِي
waḥfaẓ lahumā mā ḥafiẓāhu minnī fī ṣigharī
And protect for them all they protected for me in my childhood
32
اَللَّهُمَّ وَ مَا مَسَّهُمَا مِنِّيْ مِنْ أَذًى، أَوْ خَلَصَ إِلَيْهِمَا عَنِّيْ مِنْ مَكْرُوهٍ
allāhumma wa mā massahumā minnī min adhā, aw khalaṣa ilayhimā `annī min makrūh
O Allah, whatever pain I have caused them, or harm that reached them from me
33
أَوْ ضَاعَ قِبَلِيْ لَهُمَا مِنْ حَقٍّ
aw ḍā`a qibalī lahumā min ḥaqq
Or right of theirs that I have neglected
34
فَاجْعَلْهُ حِطَّةً لِذُنُوبِهِمَا
faj`alhu ḥiṭṭatan lidhunūbihimā
Make it a remission of their sins
35
وَ عُلُوًّا فِيْ دَرَجَاتِهِمَا
wa `uluwwan fī darajātihimā
And an elevation in their ranks
36
وَ زِيَادَةً فِيْ حَسَنَاتِهِمَا
wa ziyādatan fī ḥasanātihimā
And an increase in their good deeds
37
يَا مُبَدِّلَ السَّيِّئَاتِ بِأَضْعَافِهَا مِنَ الْحَسَنَاتِ
yā mubaddilas sayyi-āti bi-aḍ`āfihā minal ḥasanāt
O You who transform evil deeds into manifold good deeds
38
اَللَّهُمَّ وَ مَا تَعَدَّيَا عَلَيَّ فِيهِ مِنْ قَوْلٍ
allāhumma wa mā ta`addayā `alayya fīhi min qawl
O Allah, whatever they transgressed against me in speech
39
أَوْ أَسْرَفَا عَلَيَّ فِيهِ مِنْ فِعْلٍ
aw asrafā `alayya fīhi min fi`l
Or exceeded against me in action
40
أَوْ ضَيَّعَاهُ لِيْ مِنْ حَقٍّ، أَوْ قَصَّرَا بِيْ عَنْهُ مِنْ وَاجِبٍ
aw ḍayya`āhu lī min ḥaqq, aw qaṣṣarā bī `anhu min wājib
Or neglected of my rights, or fell short in their duties toward me
41
فَقَدْ وَهَبْتُهُ لَهُمَا، وَ جُدْتُ بِهِ عَلَيْهِمَا
faqad wahabtuhu lahumā, wa judtu bihi `alayhimā
I grant it to them and bestow it upon them
42
وَ رَغِبْتُ إِلَيْكَ فِيْ وَضْعِ تَبِعَتِهِ عَنْهُمَا
wa raghibtu ilayka fī waḍ`i tabi`atihi `anhumā
And I beseech You to remove its burden from them
43
فَإِنِّيْ لَا أَتَّهِمُهُمَا عَلَى نَفْسِي
fa-innī lā attahimuhumā `alā nafsī
For I do not accuse them regarding myself
44
وَ لَا أَسْتَبْطِئُهُمَا فِيْ بِرّي
wa lā astabṭi-uhumā fī birri
Nor do I find them slow in their benevolence toward me
45
وَ لَا أَكْرَهُ مَا تَوَلَّيَاهُ مِنْ أَمْرِيْ يَا رَبِّ
wa lā akrahu mā tawallayāhu min amrī yā rabb
Nor do I dislike what they have done for me, O my Lord
46
فَهُمَا أَوْجَبُ حَقًّا عَلَيَّ
fahumā awjabu ḥaqqan `alayy
They have more rights over me
47
وَ أَقْدَمُ إِحْسَانًا إِلَيَّ
wa aqdamu iḥsānan ilayy
And have done me favors for longer
48
وَ أَعْظَمُ مِنَّةً لَدَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أُقَاصَّهُمَا بِعَدْلٍ
wa a`ẓamu minnatan ladayya min an uqāṣṣahumā bi`adl
And have greater favor upon me than that I should settle accounts with them justly
49
أَوْ أُجَازِيَهُمَا عَلَى مِثْلٍ
aw ujāziyahumā `alā mithl
Or repay them equally
50
أَيْنَ إِذًا يَا إِلَهِيْ طُولُ شُغْلِهِمَا بِتَرْبِيَتِي
ayna idhan yā ilahī ṭūlu shughlihimā bitar-biyatī
Where then, O my God, is their long labor in raising me?
51
وَ أَيْنَ شِدَّةُ تَعَبِهِمَا فِيْ حِرَاسَتِي
wa ayna shiddatu ta`abihimā fī ḥirāsatī
And where is the hardship of their toil in guarding me?
52
وَ أَيْنَ إِقْتَارُهُمَا عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمَا لِلتَّوْسِعَةِ عَلَيَّ
wa ayna iqtāruhumā `alā anfusihimā littawsi`ati `alayy
And where is their self-denial to provide me with plenty?
53
هَيْهَاتَ مَا يَسْتَوْفِيَانِ مِنِّيْ حَقَّهُمَا
hayhāta mā yastawfiyāni minnī ḥaqqahumā
How far! They can never receive their full rights from me
54
وَ لَا أُدْرِكُ مَا يَجِبُ عَلَيَّ لَهُمَا
wa lā udriku mā yajibu `alayya lahumā
Nor can I fulfill what is due to them from me
55
وَ لَا أَنَا بِقَاضٍ وَظِيفَةَ خِدْمَتِهِمَا
wa lā ana biqāḍin waẓīfata khidmatihimā
Nor can I discharge the duty of serving them
56
فَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
faṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa-ālih
So bless Muhammad and his family
57
وَ أَعِنِّيْ يَا خَيْرَ مَنِ اسْتُعِينَ بِهِ
wa a`innī yā khayra manistu`īna bih
And help me, O Best of those whose help is sought
58
وَ وَفِّقْنِيْ يَا أَهْدَى مَنْ رُغِبَ إِلَيْهِ
wa waffiqnī yā ahdā man rughiba ilayh
And give me success, O Most Guiding of those to whom desires are expressed
59
وَ لَا تَجْعَلْنِيْ فِيْ أَهْلِ الْعُقُوقِ لِلْآبَاءِ وَ الْأُمَّهَاتِ
wa lā taj`alnī fī ahlil `uqūqi lil-ābā-i wal ummahāt
And do not make me among those who are undutiful to fathers and mothers
60
يَوْمَ تُجْزَى كُلُّ نَفْسٍ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ وَ هُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُوْنَ
yawma tujzā kullu nafsin bimā kasabat wa hum lā yuẓlamūn
On the day when every soul shall be rewarded for what it has earned, and they shall not be wronged
61
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ وَ ذُرِّيَّتِهِ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa-ālihi wa dhurriyyatih
O Allah, bless Muhammad, his family, and his descendants
62
وَ اخْصُصْ أَبَوَيَّ بِأَفْضَلِ مَا خَصَصْتَ بِهِ
wakhṣuṣ abawayya bi-afḍali mā khaṣaṣta bih
And favor my parents with the best You have favored
63
آبَاءَ عِبَادِكَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَ أُمَّهَاتِهِمْ، يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ
ābā-a `ibādikal mu-minīna wa ummahātihim, yā ar-ḥamar rāḥimīn
The parents of Your believing servants, O Most Merciful of the merciful
64
اَللَّهُمَّ لَا تُنْسِنِيْ ذِكْرَهُمَا فِيْ أَدْبَارِ صَلَوَاتِي
allāhumma lā tunsinī dhikrahumā fī adbāri ṣalawātī
O Allah, do not let me forget to remember them after my prayers
65
وَ فِيْ إِنًى مِنْ آنَاءِ لَيْلِي
wa fī inan min-ānā-i laylī
And at times during my night
66
وَ فِيْ كُلِّ سَاعَةٍ مِنْ سَاعَاتِ نَهَارِي
wa fī kulli sā`atin min sā`āti nahārī
And in every hour of my day
67
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa-ālih
O Allah, bless Muhammad and his family
68
وَ اغْفِرْ لِيْ بِدُعَائِيْ لَهُمَا
waghfir lī bidu`ā-ī lahumā
And forgive me through my supplication for them
69
وَ اغْفِرْ لَهُمَا بِبِرِّهِمَا بِيْ مَغْفِرَةً حَتْمًا
waghfir lahumā bibirrihimā bī maghfiratan ḥatmā
And forgive them through their goodness to me with a certain forgiveness
70
وَ ارْضَ عَنْهُمَا بِشَفَاعَتِيْ لَهُمَا رِضًى عَزْمًا
war-ḍa `anhumā bishafā`atī lahumā riḍan `azmā
And be pleased with them through my intercession for them with a resolute pleasure
71
وَ بَلِّغْهُمَا بِالْكَرَامَةِ مَوَاطِنَ السَّلَامَةِ
wa balligh-humā bil karāmati mawāṭinas salāmah
And deliver them through Your honor to places of safety
72
اَللَّهُمَّ وَ إِنْ سَبَقَتْ مَغْفِرَتُكَ لَهُمَا فَشَفِّعْهُمَا فِيَّ
allāhumma wa in sabaqat maghfiratuka lahumā fashaffi`humā fiyy
O Allah, if Your forgiveness has preceded for them, then make them my intercessors
73
وَ إِنْ سَبَقَتْ مَغْفِرَتُكَ لِيْ فَشَفِّعْنِيْ فِيهِمَا
wa in sabaqat maghfiratuka lī fashaffi`nī fīhimā
And if Your forgiveness has preceded for me, then make me their intercessor
74
حَتَّى نَجْتَمِعَ بِرَأْفَتِكَ فِيْ دَارِ كَرَامَتِكَ
ḥattā najtami`a bira-fatika fī dāri karāmatik
So that we may gather together through Your kindness in the house of Your generosity
75
وَ مَحَلِّ مَغْفِرَتِكَ وَ رَحْمَتِكَ
wa maḥalli maghfiratika wa raḥmatik
And the place of Your forgiveness and mercy
76
إِنَّكَ ذُوْ الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ، وَ الْمَنِّ الْقَديِمِ، وَ أَنْتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ
innaka dhul faḍlil `aẓīm, wal mannil qadyim, wa anta ar-ḥamur rāḥimīn
Verily You are the Possessor of Boundless Grace and Ancient Favor, and You are the Most Merciful of the merciful
