بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
1
أَللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ كَلَّفْتَنِيْ مِنْ نَفْسِيْ مَا أَنْتَ أَمْلَكُ بِهِ مِنِّي
allāhumma innaka kallaftanī min nafsī mā anta amlaku bihi minnī
O Allah, You have entrusted me with my own self, over which You have more control than I do
2
وَقُدْرَتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيَّ أَغْلَبُ مِنْ قُدْرَتِي
waqudratuka `alayhi wa`alayya aghlabu min qudratī
And Your power over it and me is greater than my own power
3
فَأَعْطِنِيْ مِنْ نَفْسِيْ مَا يُرْضِيْكَ عَنِّي
fa-a`ṭinī min nafsī mā yur-ḍīka `annī
So grant me from myself what pleases You about me
4
وَخُذْ لِنَفْسِكَ رِضَاهَا مِنْ نَفْسِيْ فِيْ عَافِيَة
wakhudh linafsika riḍāhā min nafsī fī `āfiyah
And take for Yourself its pleasure from me in well-being
5
أَللَّهُمَّ لَا طَاقَةَ لِيْ بِالجَهْدِ
allāhumma lā ṭāqata lī biljahd
O Allah, I have no strength for hardship
6
وَلَا صَبْرَ لِيْ عَلَى البَلاَءِ
walā ṣabra lī `alal balā
And no patience for trials
7
وَلَا قُوَّةَ لِيْ عَلَى الْفَقْرِ
walā quwwata lī `alal faqr
And no power to endure poverty
8
فَلَا تَحْظُرْ عَلَيَّ رِزْقِي
falā taḥẓur `alayya rizqī
So do not withhold my sustenance
9
وَلَا تَكِلْنِيْ إِلَى خَلْقِكَ
walā takilnī ilā khalqik
And do not entrust me to Your creation
10
بَلْ تَفَرَّدْ بِحَاجَتِي
bal tafarrad biḥājatī
But take sole responsibility for my needs
11
وَتَوَلَّ كِفَايَتِي
watawalla kifāyatī
And undertake my sufficiency
12
وَانْظُرْ إِلَيَّ وَانْظُرْ لِيْ فِيْ جَمِيْعِ اُمُورِي
wanẓur ilayya wanẓur lī fī jamī`i umūrī
And look upon me and look after me in all my affairs
13
فَإِنَّكَ اِنْ وَكَلْتَنِيْ إِلَى نَفْسِيْ عَجَزْتُ عَنْهَا
fa-innaka in wakaltanī ilā nafsī `ajaztu `anhā
For if You entrust me to myself, I will be incapable of it
14
وَلَمْ اُقِمْ مَا فِيْهِ مَصْلَحَتُهَا
walam uqim mā fīhi maṣlaḥatuhā
And I will not establish what is in my best interest
15
وَ اِنْ وَكَلْتَنِيْ إِلَى خَلْقِكَ تَجَهَّمُونِي
wa in wakaltanī ilā khalqika tajahhamūnī
And if You entrust me to Your creation, they will frown upon me
16
وَ اِنْ أَلْجَأتَنِيْ إِلَى قَرَابَتِيْ حَرَمُونِي
wa in alja-tanī ilā qarābatī ḥaramūnī
And if You leave me to my relatives, they will deprive me
17
وَ اِنْ أَعْطَوْا أَعْطَوْا قَلِيْلًا نَكِدًا
wa in a`ṭaw a`ṭaw qalīlan nakidā
And if they give, they give little and reluctantly
18
وَمَنُّوْا عَلَيَّ طَوِيلًا
wamannū `alayya ṭawīlā
And they remind me of it for a long time
19
وَذَمُّوْا كَثِيرًا
wadhammū kathīrā
And they criticize me greatly
20
فَبِفَضْلِكَ أَللَّهُمَّ فَأَغْنِنِي
fabifaḍlika allāhumma fa-aghninī
So by Your grace, O Allah, enrich me
21
وَبِعَظَمَتِكَ فَانْعَشنِي
wabi`aẓamatika fan`ashnī
And by Your greatness, raise me up
22
وَبِسَعَتِكَ فَابْسُطْ يَدِي
wabisa`atika fabsuṭ yadī
And by Your abundance, extend my hand
23
وَبِمَا عِنْدَكَ فَاكْفِنِي
wabimā `indaka fakfinī
And by what is with You, suffice me
24
أَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa ālih
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family
25
وَخَلِّصْنِيْ مِنَ الْحَسَدِ
wakhalliṣnī minal ḥasad
And free me from envy
26
وَاحْصُرْنِيْ عَنِ الذُّنُوبِ
waḥṣur-nī `anidh dhhunūb
And restrain me from sins
27
وَوَرِّعْنِيْ عَنِ الْمَحَارِمِ
wawarri`nī `anil maḥārim
And make me abstain from forbidden things
28
وَلَا تُجَرِّئْنِيْ عَلَى الْمَعَاصِي
walā tujarri-nī `alal ma`āṣī
And do not embolden me towards disobedience
29
وَاجْعَلْ هَوَايَ عِنْدَكَ
waj`al hawāya `indak
And make my desire with You
30
وَرِضَايَ فِيمَا يَرِدُ عَلَيَّ مِنْكَ
wariḍāya fīmā yaridu `alayya mink
And my satisfaction in what comes to me from You
31
وَبَارِكْ لِيْ فِيْمَا رَزَقْتَنِي
wabārik lī fīmā razaqtanī
And bless me in what You have provided me
32
وَفِيمَا خَوَّلْتَنِي
wafīmā khawwaltanī
And in what You have granted me
33
وَفِيمَا أَنْعَمْتَ بِهِ عَلَيَّ
wafīmā an`amta bihi `alayy
And in the favors You have bestowed upon me
34
وَاجْعَلْنِيْ فِيْ كُلِّ حَالَاتِي
waj`alnī fī kulli ḥālātī
And make me in all my conditions
35
مَحْفُوظًا مَكْلُوءًا مَسْتُورًا مَمْنُوعًا مُعَاذًا مُجَارًا
maḥfūẓan maklū-an mastūran mamnū`an mu`ādhan mujārā
Protected, guarded, veiled, defended, sheltered, and safeguarded
36
أَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa ālih
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family
37
وَاقْضِ عَنِّيْ كُلّ مَا أَلْزَمْتَنِيهِ وَفَرَضْتَهُ عَلَيَّ لَكَ فِيْ وَجْه مِنْ وُجُوهِ طَاعَتِكَ
waqḍi `annī kull mā alzamtanīhi wafaraḍtahu `alayya laka fī wajh min wujūhi ṭā`atik
And fulfill on my behalf all that You have obligated me with and made incumbent upon me toward You in any aspect of Your obedience
38
أَوْ لِخَلْق مِنْ خَلْقِكَ
aw likhalq min khalqik
Or toward any of Your creation
39
وَ اِنْ ضَعُفَ عَنْ ذٰلِكَ بَدَنِي
wa in ḍa`ufa `an dhālika badanī
Even if my body is too weak for that
40
وَوَهَنَتْ عَنْهُ قُـوَّتِي
wawahanat `anhu quwwatī
And my strength falls short of it
41
وَلَمْ تَنَلْهُ مَقْدِرَتِي
walam tanalhu maqdiratī
And my capability cannot reach it
42
وَلَمْ يَسَعْهُ مَالِي
walam yasa`hu mālī
And my wealth cannot encompass it
43
وَلَا ذَاتُ يَدِي
walā dhātu yadī
Nor can my possessions
44
ذَكَرْتُهُ أَوْ نَسِيتُهُ
dhakar-tuhu aw nasītuh
Whether I remember it or forget it
45
هُوَ يَا رَبِّ مِمَّا قَدْ أَحْصَيْتَهُ عَلَيَّ
huwa yā rabbi mimmā qad aḥṣaytahu `alayy
It is, O my Lord, from what You have already counted against me
46
وَأَغْفَلْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ نَفْسِي
wa-aghfaltuhu ana min nafsī
And I have neglected it from myself
47
فَأَدِّهِ عَنِّيْ مِنْ جَزِيْلِ عَطِيَّتِكَ
fa-addihi `annī min jazīli `aṭiyyatik
So fulfill it on my behalf from Your abundant gifts
48
وَكَثِيرِ مَا عِنْدَكَ
wakathīri mā `indak
And from the abundance of what is with You
49
فَإِنَّكَ وَاسِعٌ كَرِيمٌ
fa-innaka wāsi`un karīm
For indeed You are All-Encompassing, Generous
50
حَتَّى لَا يَبْقَى عَلَيَّ شَيْ مِنْهُ
ḥattā lā yabqā `alayya shay minh
Until nothing of it remains upon me
51
تُرِيدُ أَنْ تُقَاصَّنِيْ بِهِ مِنْ حَسَنَاتِي
turīdu an tuqāṣṣanī bihi min ḥasanātī
That You would want to settle with me from my good deeds
52
أَوْ تُضَاعِفَ بِهِ مِنْ سَيِّئاتِيْ يَوْمَ أَلْقَاكَ يَا رَبِّ
aw tuḍā`ifa bihi min sayyi-ātī yawma alqāka yā rabb
Or multiply from my sins on the day I meet You, O my Lord
53
أَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa ālih
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family
54
وَارْزُقْنِيْ الرَّغْبَةَ فِيْ الْعَمَـلِ لَكَ لْآخِـرَتِي
war-zuqnir raghbata fil `amali lakal-ākhiratī
And grant me desire to work for You for my hereafter
55
حَتَّى أَعْرِفَ صِدْقَ ذٰلِكَ مِنْ قَلْبِي
ḥattā a`rifa ṣidqa dhālika min qalbī
Until I recognize the sincerity of that in my heart
56
وَحَتَّى يَكُونَ الْغَالِبُ عَلَيَّ الزُّهْدُ فِيْ دُنْيَايَ
waḥattā yakūnal ghālibu `alayyaz zuhdu fī dunyāy
And until detachment from this world becomes predominant in me
57
وَحَتَّى أَعْمَلَ الْحَسَنَاتِ شَوْقًا
waḥattā a`malal ḥasanāti shawqā
And until I perform good deeds out of longing
58
وَ آمَنَ مِنَ السَّيِّئاتِ فَرَقًا وَخَوْفًا
wa āmana minas sayyi-āti faraqan wakhawfā
And remain safe from evil deeds out of fear and dread
59
وَهَبْ لِيْ نُورًا أَمْشِيْ بِهِ فِيْ النَّاسِ
wahab lī nūran amshī bihi fin nās
And grant me a light by which I may walk among people
60
وَأَهْتَدِيْ بِهِ فِيْ الظُّلُمَاتِ
wa-ahtadī bihi fiẓ ẓulumāt
And be guided in darkness
61
وَأَسْتَضِيءُ بِهِ مِنَ الشَّكِّ وَالشُّبُهَـاتِ
wa-astaḍī-u bihi minash shakki wash shubuhat
And be illuminated from doubt and uncertainties
62
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa ālih
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family
63
وَارْزُقْنِيْ خَوْفَ غَمِّ الْوَعِيْـدِ
war-zuqnī khawfa ghammil wa`īd
And grant me fear of the distress of Your warnings
64
وَشَوْقَ ثَوَابِ الْمَوْعُودِ حَتَّى أَجِدَ لَذَّةَ مَا أَدْعُوكَ لَهُ
washawqa thawābil maw`ūdi ḥattā ajida ladhhata mā ad`ūka lah
And longing for the reward You have promised until I find pleasure in what I call upon You for
65
وَكَأْبَةَ مَا أَسْتَجِيرُ بِكَ مِنْهُ
waka-bata mā astajīru bika minh
And anxiety in what I seek Your protection from
66
أَللَّهُمَّ قَـدْ تَعْلَمُ مَا يُصْلِحُنِيْ مِنْ أَمْرِ دُنْيَايَ وَ آخِـرَتِي
allāhumma qad ta`lamu mā yuṣliḥunī min amri dunyāya wa ākhiratī
O Allah, You know what improves my affairs in this world and the hereafter
67
فَكُنْ بِحَوَائِجِيْ حَفِيًّا
fakun biḥawā-ijī ḥafiyyā
So be attentive to my needs
68
أَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّد
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
69
وَارْزُقْنِيْ الْحَقَّ عِنْدَ تَقْصِيرِيْ فِيْ الشُّكْرِ لَكَ
war-zuqnil ḥaqqa `inda taqṣīrī fish shukri lak
And grant me truth when I fall short in thanking You
70
بِمَا أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ فِيْ اليُسـرِ وَالْعُسْرِ وَالصِّحَّـةِ وَالسَّقَمِ
bimā an`amta `alayya fil yusri wal`usri waṣ ṣiḥḥati was saqam
For the blessings You have bestowed upon me in ease and hardship, health and sickness
71
حَتَّى أَتَعَرَّفَ مِنْ نَفْسِيْ رَوْحَ الرِّضَا
ḥattā ata`arrafa min nafsī rawḥar riḍā
Until I recognize in myself the comfort of contentment
72
وَطُمَأنِيْنَةَ النَّفْسِ مِنِّيْ بِمَا يَجِبُ لَكَ فِيمَا يَحْدُثُ
waṭuma-nīnatan nafsi minnī bimā yajibu laka fīmā yaḥduth
And the tranquility of my soul with what is due to You in whatever happens
73
فِيْ حَالِ الْخَوْفِ وَالْأَمْنِ
fī ḥālil khawfi wal-amn
In states of fear and security
74
وَالرِّضَا وَالسُّخْطِ
war riḍā was sukhṭ
Satisfaction and anger
75
وَالضَّرِّ وَالنَّفْعِ
waḍ ḍarri wan naf`
Harm and benefit
76
أَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa ālih
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family
77
وَارْزُقْنِيْ سَلاَمَةَ الصَّدْرِ مِنَ الْحَسَدِ
war-zuqnī salāmataṣ ṣadri minal ḥasad
And grant me a heart free from envy
78
حَتَّى لَا أَحْسُدَ أَحَدًا مِنْ خَلْقِكَ عَلَى شَيْءٍ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ
ḥattā lā aḥsuda aḥadan min khalqika `alā shay-in min faḍlik
So that I never envy any of Your creation for anything of Your bounty
79
وَحَتَّى لَا أَرَى نِعْمَـةً مِنْ نِعَمِـكَ عَلَى أَحَدَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ
waḥattā lā arā ni`matan min ni`amika `alā aḥada min khalqik
And so that I never see a blessing from Your blessings upon any of Your creation
80
فِيْ دِيْنٍ أَوْ دُنْيَا
fī dīnin aw dunyā
In religion or worldly affairs
81
أَوْ عَافِيَةٍ أَوْ تَقْوَى
aw `āfiyatin aw taqwā
Or well-being or piety
82
أَوْ سَعَةٍ أَوْ رَخَاء
aw sa`atin aw rakha
Or abundance or comfort
83
إِلَّا رَجَوْتُ لِنَفْسِيْ أَفْضَلَ ذٰلِكَ
illā rajawtu linafsī afḍala dhālik
Except that I hope for better than that for myself
84
بِكَ وَمِنْكَ وَحْدَكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ
bika waminka waḥdaka lā sharīka lak
Through You and from You alone, with no partner to You
85
أَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّـدٍ وَ آلِـهِ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa ālih
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family
86
وَارْزُقْنِيْ التَّحَفُّظَ مِنَ الْخَطَايَا
war-zuqnit taḥaffuẓa minal khaṭāyā
And grant me protection from sins
87
وَالْإِحْتِرَاسَ مِنَ الزَّلَلِ فِيْ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ
wal-iḥtirāsa minaz zalali fid dunyā wal-ākhirah
And guard against error in this world and the hereafter
88
فِيْ حَالِ الرِّضَا وَالْغَضَبِ
fī ḥālir riḍā walghaḍab
In states of contentment and anger
89
حَتَّى أَكُوْنَ بِمَا يَرِدُ عَلَيَّ مِنْهُمَا بِمَنْزِلَة سَوَاء
ḥattā akūna bimā yaridu `alayya minhumā bimanzilat sawa
So that I may be, in whatever comes to me from both, at an equal level
90
عَامِلًا بِطَاعَتِكَ مُؤْثِرًا لِرِضَاكَ عَلَى مَا سِوَاهُمَا فِيْ الْاَوْلِيَاءِ وَالْأَعْدَاءِ
`āmilan biṭā`atika mu-thiran liriḍāka `alā mā siwāhumā fil awliyā-i wal-a`dā
Working in Your obedience, preferring Your pleasure over all else regarding friends and enemies
91
حَتَّى يَأْمَنَ عَدُوِّيْ مِنْ ظُلْمِيْ وَجَوْرِيْ
ḥattā ya-mana `aduwwī min ẓulmī wajawrī
Until my enemy feels safe from my injustice and oppression
92
وَيَيْأَسَ وَلِيِّيْ مِنْ مَيْلِيْ وَانْحِطَاطِ هَوَايَ
wayay-asa waliyyī min maylī wanḥiṭāṭi hawāy
And my friend despairs of my partiality and deviation of my desires
93
وَاجْعَلنِيْ مِمَّنْ يَدْعُوكَ مُخْلِصًا فِيْ الرَّخَاءِ
waj`alnī mimman yad`ūka mukhliṣan fir rakhā
And make me among those who call upon You sincerely in times of ease
94
دُعَاءَ الْمُخْلِصِينَ الْمُضْطَرِّينَ لَـكَ فِيْ الدُّعَاءِ
du`ā-al mukhliṣīnal muḍṭarrīna laka fid du`ā
With the supplication of the sincere ones who are desperate for You in prayer
95
إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجيدٌ
innaka ḥamīdun majid
Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious
