بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
1
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa-ālih
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family
2
وَصَيِّرْنَا إِلَى مَحْبُوبِكَ مِنَ التَّوْبَةِ
waṣayyir-nā ilā maḥbūbika minat tawbah
And lead us to what You love of repentance
3
وَأَزِلْنَا عَنْ مَكْرُوهِكَ مِنَ الْإِصْرَارِ
wa-azilnā `an makrūhika minal iṣrār
And remove us from what You dislike of persistence [in sin]
4
اَللَّهُمَّ وَ مَتَى وَقَفْنَا بَيْنَ نَقْصَيْنِ فِيْ دِينٍ
allāhumma wa matā waqafnā bayna naqṣayni fī dīn
O Allah, whenever we are caught between two deficiencies in religion
5
أَوْ دُنْيَا فَأَوْقِعِ النَّقْصَ بِأَسْرَعِهِمَا فَنَاءً
aw dunyā fa-awqi`in naqṣa bi-asra`ihimā fanā-ā
Or worldly affairs, then let the deficiency occur in what perishes more quickly
6
وَاجْعَلِ التَّوْبَةَ فِيْ أَطْوَلِهِمَا بَقَاءً
waj`alit tawbata fī aṭwalihimā baqā-ā
And grant repentance in what endures longer
7
وَإِذَا هَمَمْنَا بِهَمَّيْنِ يُرْضِيكَ أَحَدُهُمَا عَنَّا
wa-idhā hamamnā bihammayni yur-ḍīka aḥaduhumā `annā
And when we are concerned with two matters, one of which pleases You regarding us
8
وَيُسْخِطُكَ الْآخَرُ عَلَيْنَا
wayuskhiṭukal-ākharu `alaynā
And the other displeases You against us
9
فَمِلْ بِنَا إِلَى مَا يُرْضِيكَ عَنَّا
famil binā ilā mā yur-ḍīka `annā
Then incline us toward what pleases You regarding us
10
وَأَوْهِنْ قُوَّتَنَا عَمَّا يُسْخِطُكَ عَلَيْنَا
wa-awhin quwwatanā `ammā yuskhiṭuka `alaynā
And weaken our strength toward what displeases You against us
11
وَلَا تُخَلِّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ بَيْنَ نُفُوسِنَا وَاخْتِيَارِهَا
walā tukhalli fī dhālika bayna nufūsinā wakhtiyārihā
And do not leave our souls in that to their own choosing
12
فَإِنَّهَا مُخْتَارَةٌ لِلْبَاطِلِ إِلَّا مَا وَفَّقْتَ أَمَّارَةٌ بِالسُّوءِ إِلَّا مَا رَحِمْتَ
fa-innahā mukhtāratun lilbāṭili illā mā waffaqta ammāratun bissū-i illā mā raḥimt
For they choose falsehood except what You grant success, commanding evil except what You have mercy upon
13
اَللَّهُمَّ وَإِنَّكَ مِنَ الضُّعْفِ خَلَقْتَنَا
allāhumma wa-innaka minaḍ ḍu`fi khalaqtanā
O Allah, You have created us from weakness
14
وَعَلَى الْوَهْنِ بَنَيْتَنَا، وَمِنْ مَاءٍ مَهِينٍ ابْتَدَأْتَنَا
wa`alal wahni banaytanā, wamin mā-in mahīninbtada-tanā
And built us upon frailty, and from a despised fluid You originated us
15
فَلَا حَوْلَ لَنَا إِلَّا بِقُوَّتِكَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ لَنَا إِلَّا بِعَوْنِكَ
falā ḥawla lanā illā biquwwatika walā quwwata lanā illā bi`awnik
So we have no power except through Your strength, and no strength except through Your help
16
فَأَيِّدْنَا بِتَوْفِيقِكَ وَسَدِّدْنَا بِتَسْدِيْدِكَ
fa-ayyidnā bitawfīqika wasaddidnā bitasdīdik
So support us with Your guidance and direct us with Your direction
17
وَأَعْمِ أَبْصَارَ قُلُوبِنَا عَمَّا خَالَفَ مَحَبَّتَكَ
wa-a`mi abṣāra qulūbinā `ammā khālafa maḥabbatak
And blind the eyes of our hearts from what opposes Your love
18
وَلَا تَجْعَلْ لِشَيْءٍ مِنْ جَوَارِحِنَا نُفُوْذًا فِيْ مَعْصِيَتِكَ
walā taj`al lishay-in min jawāriḥinā nufūdhan fī ma`ṣiyatik
And do not allow any of our limbs to have influence in disobeying You
19
اَللَّهُمَّ فَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
allāhumma faṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa-ālih
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family
20
وَاجْعَلْ هَمَسَاتِ قُلُوبِنَا وَحَرَكَاتِ أَعْضَائِنَا
waj`al hamasāti qulūbinā waḥarakāti a`ḍā-inā
And make the whispers of our hearts and the movements of our limbs
21
وَلَمَحَاتِ أَعْيُنِنَا، وَلَهَجَاتِ أَلْسِنَتِنَا فِيْ مُوْجِبَاتِ ثَوَابِكَ
walamaḥāti a`yuninā, walahajāti alsinatinā fī mūjibāti thawābik
And the glances of our eyes, and the utterances of our tongues in what necessitates Your reward
22
حَتَّى لَا تَفُوتَنَا حَسَنَةٌ نَسْتَحِقُّ بِهَا جَزَاءَكَ
ḥattā lā tafūtanā ḥasanatun nastaḥiqqu bihā jazā-ak
So that no good deed passes us by through which we deserve Your recompense
23
وَلَا تَبْقَى لَنَا سَيِّئَةٌ نَسْتَوْجِبُ بِهَا عِقَابَكَ
walā tabqā lanā sayyi-atun nastawjibu bihā `iqābak
And no sin remains with us through which we deserve Your punishment
