1
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى وَلِيِّكَ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā waliyyik
O Allah, send Your blessings upon Your guardian
2
وَأَخِيْ نَبِيِّكَ
wa-akhī nabiyyik
And the brother of Your Prophet
3
وَوَزِيرِهِ وَحَبِيبِهِ وَخَلِيلِهِ
wawazīrihi waḥabībihi wakhalīlih
And his vizier, his beloved, and his close friend
4
وَمَوْضِعِ سِرِّهِ
wamawḍi`i sirrih
And the keeper of his secrets
5
وَخِيَرَتِهِ مِنْ أُسْرَتِهِ
wakhiyaratihi min usratih
And the chosen one from his family
6
وَوَصِيِّهِ وَصَفْوَتِهِ وَخَالِصَتِهِ
wawaṣiyyihi waṣafwatihi wakhāliṣatih
And his successor, his elite, and his pure one
7
وَأَمِينِهِ وَوَلِيِّهِ
wa-amīnihi wawaliyyih
And his trustee and guardian
8
وَأَشْرَفِ عِتْرَتِهِ الَّذِيْنَ آمَنُوْا بِهِ
wa-ashrafi `itratihil ladhīna-āmanū bih
And the most noble of his family who believed in him
9
وَأَبِيْ ذُرِّيَّتِهِ
wa-abī dhurriyyatih
And the father of his descendants
10
وَبَابِ حِكْمَتِهِ
wabābi ḥikmatih
And the gateway to his wisdom
11
وَالنَّاطِقِ بِحُجَّتِهِ
wan nāṭiqi biḥujjatih
And the speaker of his evidence
12
وَالدَّاعِيْ إِلَى شَرِيْعَتِهِ
wad dā`ī ilā sharī`atih
And the caller to his law
13
وَالْمَاضِيْ عَلَى سُنَّتِهِ
walmāḍī `alā sunnatih
And the follower of his tradition
14
وَخَلِيفَتِهِ عَلَى أُمَّتِهِ
wakhalīfatihi `alā ummatih
And his successor over his nation
15
سَيِّدِ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ
sayyidil muslimīn
The master of the Muslims
16
وَأَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
wa-amīril mu-minīn
And the Commander of the Faithful
17
وَقَائِدِ الْغُرِّ الْمُحَجَّلِينَ
waqā-idil ghurril muḥajjalīn
And the leader of the resplendent ones
18
أَفْضَلَ مَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ
afḍala mā ṣallayta `alā aḥadin min khalqik
With the best blessings You have bestowed on anyone of Your creation
19
وَأَصْفِيَائِكَ وَأَوْصِيَاءِ أَنْبِيَائِكَ
wa-aṣfiyā-ika wa-awṣiyā-i anbiyā-ik
And Your chosen ones and the successors of Your prophets
20
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَشْهَدُ
allāhumma innī ash-had
O Allah, I bear witness
21
أَنَّهُ قَدْ بَلَّغَ عَنْ نَبِيِّكَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ مَا حُمِّلَ
annahu qad ballagha `an nabiyyika ṣallallāhu `alayhi wa ālihi mā ḥummil
That he conveyed from Your Prophet, peace be upon him and his family, what was entrusted to him
22
وَرَعَىٰ مَا اسْتُحْفِظَ
wara`ā mastuḥfiẓ
And safeguarded what he was asked to protect
23
وَحَفِظَ مَا اسْتُودِعَ
waḥafiẓa mastūdi`
And preserved what was entrusted to him
24
وَحَلَّلَ حَلالَكَ
waḥallala ḥalālak
And made lawful what You made lawful
25
وَحَرَّمَ حَرَامَكَ
waḥarrama ḥarāmak
And made forbidden what You made forbidden
26
وَأَقَامَ أَحْكَامَكَ
wa-aqāma aḥkāmak
And established Your commandments
27
وَدَعَا إِلَى سَبِيلِكَ
wada`ā ilā sabīlik
And called to Your path
28
وَوَالَى أَوْلِيَاءَكَ
wawālā awliyā-ak
And befriended Your friends
29
وَعَادَىٰ أَعْدَاءَكَ
wa`ādā a`dā-ak
And opposed Your enemies
30
وَجَاهَدَ النَّاكِثِينَ عَنْ سَبِيلِكَ
wajāhadan nākithīna `an sabīlik
And fought against those who broke away from Your path
31
وَالْقَاسِطِينَ وَالْمَارِقِينَ عَنْ أَمْرِكَ
walqāsiṭīna walmāriqīna `an amrik
And the unjust and those who deviated from Your command
32
صَابِرًا مُحْتَسِبًا
ṣābiran muḥtasibā
With patience and seeking reward
33
مُقْبِلًا غَيْرَ مُدْبِرٍ
muqbilan ghayra mudbir
Advancing without retreating
34
لَا تَأْخُذُهُ فِيْ اللَّهِ لَوْمَةُ لاَئِمٍ
lā ta-khudhuhu fillāhi lawmatu lā-im
Not fearing the blame of anyone in matters concerning Allah
35
حَتَّىٰ بَلَغَ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ الرِّضَا
ḥattā balagha fī dhālikar riḍā
Until he reached Your satisfaction in that
36
وَسَلَّمَ إِلَيْكَ الْقَضَاءَ
wasallama ilaykal qaḍā
And submitted to Your decree
37
وَعَبَدَكَ مُخْلِصًا
wa`abadaka mukhliṣā
And worshipped You sincerely
38
وَنَصَحَ لَكَ مُجْتَهِدًا
wanaṣaḥa laka mujtahidā
And advised for Your sake with diligence
39
حَتَّىٰ أَتَاهُ الْيَقِينُ
ḥattā atāhul yaqīn
Until death came to him
40
فَقَبَضْتَهُ إِلَيْكَ شَهِيدًا سَعِيدًا
faqabaḍtahu ilayka shahīdan sa`īdā
Then You took him to You as a martyr, blessed
41
وَلِيًّا تَقِيًّا رَضِيًّا
waliyyan taqiyyan raḍiyyā
A guardian, pious, well-pleased
42
زَكِيًّا هَادِيًا مَهْدِيًّا
zakiyyan hādiyan mahdiyyā
Pure, a guide who is guided
43
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَيْهِ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa`alayh
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon him
44
أَفْضَلَ مَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْ أَنْبِيَائِكَ وَأَصْفِيَائِكَ
afḍala mā ṣallayta `alā aḥadin min anbiyā-ika wa-aṣfiyā-ik
With the best blessings You have bestowed on any of Your prophets and chosen ones
45
يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
yā rabbal `ālamīn
O Lord of the worlds
