اَللَّهُمَّ اِنَّكَ عَظِيْمٌ ذُوْ اَنَاةٍ
allāhumma innaka `aẓīmun dhū anāh
O Allah, verily Thou art Sublime, Patient, gives respite, (because]
وَلَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا لِحُكْمِكَ
walā ṭāqata lanā liḥukmik
we do not have the capacity to withstand the conditions that take effect under Thy authority.
يَا اَللَّهُ، يَا اَللَّهُ، يَا اَللَّهُ
yā allāh, yā allāh, yā allāh
O Allah! O Allah! O Allah!
اَلْاَمَانُ، اَلْاَمَانُ، اَلْاَمَانُ
al amān, al amān, al amān
Mercy! Mercy! Mercy!
مِنَ الطَّاعُوْنِ وَالْوَبَاءِ
minaṭ ṭā`ūni walwabā
(Safety from the] rampant epidemics,
وَمَوْتِ فُجْعَةٍ
wamawti fuj`ah
accidental death,
وَسُوْءِ الْقَضَاءٍ وَ شَمٰتَتِ الْعَأْدَاءِ
wasū-il qaḍā-in wa shamātatil `a-dā
evil events, and rejoicing of enemies at (our] misfortune.
رَبَّنَا اكْشِفْ عَنَّا الْعَذَابَ
rabbanakshif `annal `adhāb
O our Lord take away from us the pain and torment
اِنَّا مُوْمِنُنَ
innā mūminun
truly we believe
