بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
1
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِحَقِّ الْمَوْلُودِ فِيْ هٰذَا الْيَوْمِ
allāhumma innī as-aluka biḥaqqil mawlūdi fī hādhal yawm
O Allah, I ask You by the right of the one born on this day
2
اَلْمَوْعُودِ بِشَهَادَتِهِ قَبْلَ اسْتِهْلاَلِهِ وَوِلادَتِهِ
al maw`ūdi bishahādatihi qablastihlālihi wawilādatih
The one whose martyrdom was promised before his birth and arrival
3
بَكَتْهُ السَّمَاءُ وَمَنْ فِيهَا
bakat-hus samā-u waman fīhā
For whom the sky and whoever is in it wept
4
وَالْأَرْضُ وَمَنْ عَلَيْهَا
wal-ar-ḍu waman `alayhā
And the earth and whoever is on it
5
وَلَمَّا يَطَأْ لاَبَتَيْهَا
walammā yaṭa-lābatayhā
Though he had not yet set foot on its soil
6
قَتِيلِ الْعَبْرَةِ
qatīlil `abrah
The one slain, causing tears
7
وَسَيِّدِ الْأُسْرَةِ
wasayyidil usrah
The master of the family
8
اَلْمَمْدُودِ بِالنُّصْرَةِ يَوْمَ الْكَرَّةِ
al mamdūdi binnuṣrati yawmal karrah
The one who will be supported with divine help on the day of return
9
اَلْمُعَوَّضِ مِنْ قَتْلِهِ أَنَّ الْأَئِمَّةَ مِنْ نَسْلِهِ
al mu`awwaḍi min qatlihi annal a-immata min naslih
The one compensated for his martyrdom by making Imams from his progeny
10
وَالشِّفَاءَ فِيْ تُرْبَتِهِ
wash shifā-a fī tur-batih
And healing in his soil
11
وَالْفَوْزَ مَعَهُ فِيْ أَوْبَتِهِ
walfawza ma`ahu fī awbatih
And salvation with him in his return
12
وَالْأَوْصِيَاءَ مِنْ عِتْرَتِهِ
wal-awṣiyā-a min `itratih
And the successors from his lineage
13
بَعْدَ قَائِمِهِمْ وَغَيْبَتِهِ
ba`da qā-imihim waghaybatih
After their Qa'im (the one who will rise) and his occultation
14
حَتّىٰ يُدْرِكُوْا الْأَوْتَارَ
ḥattā yudrikul awtār
Until they avenge the wrongs
15
وَيَثْأَرُوْا الثَّارَ
wayath-aruth thār
And seek retribution
16
وَيُرْضُوْا الْجَبَّارَ
wayur-ḍul jabbār
And please the Almighty
17
وَيَكُونُوْا خَيْرَ أَنْصَارٍ
wayakūnū khayra anṣār
And become the best helpers
18
صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مَعَ اخْتِلافِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ
ṣallallāhu `alayhim ma`akhtilāfil layli wan nahār
May Allah's blessings be upon them through the alternation of night and day
19
اَللّٰهُمَّ فَبِحَقِّهِمْ إِلَيْكَ أَتَوَسَّلُ
allāhumma fabiḥaqqihim ilayka atawassal
O Allah, by their right I seek intercession to You
20
وَأَسْأَلُ سُؤَالَ مُقْتَرِفٍ مُعْتَرِفٍ
wa-as-alu su-āla muqtarifin mu`tarif
And I ask as one who has committed sins yet acknowledges them
21
مُسِىءٍ إِلٰى نَفْسِهِ
musī-in ilā nafsih
One who has wronged himself
22
مِمَّا فَرَّطَ فِيْ يَوْمِهِ وَأَمْسِهِ
mimmā farraṭa fī yawmihi wa-amsih
Through what he has neglected in his present and past
23
يَسْأَلُكَ الْعِصْمَةَ إِلٰى مَحَلِّ رَمْسِهِ
yas-alukal `iṣmata ilā maḥalli ramsih
He asks You for protection until his grave
24
اَللّٰهُمَّ فَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعِتْرَتِهِ
allāhumma faṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa`itratih
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family
25
وَاحْشُرْنَا فِيْ زُمْرَتِهِ
waḥshur-nā fī zumratih
And gather us in his company
26
وَبَوِّئْنَا مَعَهُ دَارَ الْكَرَامَةِ
wabawwi-nā ma`ahu dāral karāmah
And settle us with him in the abode of honor
27
وَمَحَلَّ الْإِقَامَةِ
wamaḥallal iqāmah
And the place of residence
28
اَللّٰهُمَّ وَكَمَا أَكْرَمْتَنَا بِمَعْرِفَتِهِ فَأَكْرِمْنَا بِزُلْفَتِهِ
allāhumma wakamā akramtanā bima`rifatihi fa-akrimnā bizulfatih
O Allah, as You have honored us with his recognition, honor us with closeness to him
29
وَارْزُقْنَا مُرَافَقَتَهُ وَسَابِقَتَهُ
war-zuqnā murāfaqatahu wasābiqatah
And grant us his companionship and to be among his forerunners
30
وَاجْعَلْنَا مِمَّنْ يُسَلِّمُ لِأَمْرِهِ
waj`alnā mimman yusallimu li-amrih
And make us among those who submit to his command
31
وَيُكْثِرُ الصَّلاةَ عَلَيْهِ عِنْدَ ذِكْرِهِ
wayukthiruṣ ṣalāta `alayhi `inda dhikrih
And send abundant blessings upon him whenever he is mentioned
32
وَعَلَى جَمِيْعِ أَوْصِيَائِهِ وَأَهْلِ أَصْفِيَائِهِ
wa`alā jamī`i awṣiyā-ihi wa-ahli aṣfiyā-ih
And upon all his successors and his pure household
33
اَلْمَمْدُودِيْنَ مِنْكَ بِالْعَدَدِ الَاثْنَى عَشَرَ
al mamdūdīna minka bil `adadil athnā `ashar
Those whom You have designated as the Twelve
34
اَلنُّجُومِ الزُّهَرِ
an nujūmiz zuhar
The bright stars
35
وَالْحُجَجِ عَلَى جَمِيْعِ الْبَشَرِ
walḥujaji `alā jamī`il bashar
And the proofs over all mankind
36
اَللّٰهُمَّ وَهَبْ لَنَا فِيْ هٰذَا الْيَوْمِ خَيْرَ مَوْهِبَةٍ
allāhumma wahab lanā fī hādhal yawmi khayra mawhibah
O Allah, grant us on this day the best of gifts
37
وَأَنْجِحْ لَنَا فِيهِ كُلَّ طَلِبَةٍ
wa-anjiḥ lanā fīhi kulla ṭalibah
And fulfill for us every request
38
كَمَا وَهَبْتَ الْحُسَيْنَ لِمُحَمَّدٍ جَدِّهِ
kamā wahabtal ḥusayna limuḥammadin jaddih
As You granted Hussain to his grandfather Muhammad
39
وَعَاذَ فُطْرُسُ بِمَهْدِهِ
wa`ādha fuṭrusu bimahdih
And as Futrus sought refuge in his cradle
40
فَنَحْنُ عَائِذُونَ بِقَبْرِهِ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ
fanaḥnu `ā-idhūna biqabrihi min ba`dih
So we seek refuge at his grave after him
41
نَشْهَدُ تُرْبَتَهُ وَنَنْتَظِرُ أَوْبَتَهُ
nash-hadu tur-batahu wanantaẓiru awbatah
We bear witness to his soil and await his return
42
آمِيْنَ رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
āmīna rabbal `ālamīn
Amen, O Lord of the worlds
