بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the Name of Allāh, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad;
شَجَرَةِ النُّبُوَّةِ
shajaratin nubuwwah
the tree of Prophethood,
وَمَوْضِعِ الرِّسَالَةِ
wamawḍi`ir risālah
the trustees of the (Divine) Mission,
وَمُخْتَلَفِ الْمَلَائِكَةِ
wamukhtalafil malā-ikah
the frequently visited by the angels,
وَمَعْدِنِ الْعِلْمِ
wama`dinil `ilm
the core of knowledge,
وَأَهْلِ بَيْتِ الْوَحْيِ
wa-ahli baytil waḥy
and the Household of the Divine Revelation.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,
اَلْفُلْكِ الْجَارِيَةِ فِيْ اللُّجَجِ الْغَامِرَةِ
al fulkil jāriyati fil lujajil ghāmirah
the sailing ships through the abysmal waves.
يَأْمَنُ مَنْ رَكِبَهَا
ya-manu man rakibahā
He who embarks on will be saved
وَيَغْرَقُ مَنْ تَرَكَهَا
wayaghraqu man tarakahā
but he who abandons will be drowned.
اَلْمُتَقَدِّمُ لَهُمْ مَارِقٌ
al mutaqaddimu lahum māriq
He who precedes them will miss the Right Path
وَالْمُتَأَخِّرُ عَنْهُمْ زَاهِقٌ
walmuta-akhhiru `anhum zāhiq
and he who misses them will lose,
وَاللَّازِمُ لَهُمْ لاَحِقٌ
wal lāzimu lahum lāḥiq
but he who adheres to them will win.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,
اَلْكَهْفِ الْحَصِينِ
al kahfil ḥaṣīn
the impregnable shelter,
وَغِيَاثِ الْمُضْطَرِّ الْمُسْتَكِينِ
waghiyāthil muḍṭarril mustakīn
the succorers of the helpless, distressed ones,
وَمَلْجَاَ الْهَارِبِينَ
wamalja-al hāribīn
the haven of the fugitives,
وَعِصْمَةِ الْمُعْتَصِمِيْنَ
wa`iṣmatil mu`taṣimīn
and the asylum of those who seek refuge.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad
صَلاةً كَثِيرَةً تَكُونُ لَهُمْ رِضًا
ṣalātan kathīratan takūnu lahum riḍā
so many blessings that please them
وَلِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ أَدَاءً وَقَضَاءً
waliḥaqqi muḥammadin wa āli muḥammadin adā-an waqaḍā-ā
and settle all (our) duties towards Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,
بِحَوْلٍ مِنْكَ وَقُوَّةٍ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
biḥawlin minka waquwwatin yā rabbal `ālamīn
by Your might and power, O Lord of the worlds!
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,
اَلطَّيِّبِينَ الْأَبْرَارِ الْأَخْيَارِ
aṭ ṭayyibīnal abrāril akhyār
the pure, pious, and righteous
اَلَّذِيْنَ أَوْجَبْتَ حُقُوقَهُمْ
al ladhīna awjabta ḥuqūqahum
whose rights have been made incumbent upon us by You
وَفَرَضْتَ طَاعَتَهُمْ وَوِلايَتَهُمْ
wafaraḍta ṭā`atahum wawilāyatahum
and the obedience to whom and whose (divinely ordained) leadership have been (also) deemed obligatory upon us by You.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,
وَاعْمُرْ قَلْبِىْ بِطَاعَتِكَ
wa`mur qalbī biṭā`atik
fill my heart with obedience to You,
وَلَا تُخْزِنِيْ بِمَعْصِيَتِكَ
walā tukhzinī bima`ṣiyatik
do not disgrace me due to my acts of disobedience to You,
وَارْزُقْنِيْ مُوَاسَاةَ مَنْ قَتَّرْتَ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ رِزْقِكَ
war-zuqnī muwāsāta man qattar-ta `alayhi min rizqik
and grant me the feeling of sympathy towards those whom You have decided to straiten their sustenance
بِمَا وَسَّعْتَ عَلَيَّ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ
bimā wassa`ta `alayya min faḍlik
for You have blessed me with affluence in livelihood
وَنَشَرْتَ عَلَيَّ مِنْ عَدْلِكَ
wanashar-ta `alayya min `adlik
since You have displayed Your justice on me
وَأَحْيَيْتَنِيْ تَحْتَ ظِلِّكَ
wa-aḥyaytanī taḥta ẓillik
and bestowed life on me to live under Your shade.
وَهٰذَا شَهْرُ نَبِيِّكَ سَيِّدِ رُسُلِكَ
wahādhā shahru nabiyyika sayyidi rusulik
This is the month of Your Prophet and the Master of Your Messengers.
شَعْبَانُ الَّذِيْ حَفَفْتَهُ مِنْكَ بِالرَّحْمَةِ وَالرِّضْوَانِ
sha`bānul ladhī ḥafaftahu minka birraḥmati war riḍwān
It is Sha`ban, which You have encompassed with Your mercy and pleasure
اَلَّذِيْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ
al ladhī kāna rasūlullāhi ṣallallāhu `alayhi wa ālihi wasallam
and on which the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his Household,
يَدْأَبُ فِيْ صِيَامِهِ وَقِيَامِهِ
yad-abu fī ṣiyāmihi waqiyāmih
used to observe fasting painstakingly and used to spend it with acts of worship
فِيْ لَيَالِيهِ وَأَيَّامِهِ
fī layālīhi wa-ayyāmih
on all of its days and nights
بُخُوعًا لَكَ فِيْ إِكْرَامِهِ وَإِعْظَامِهِ
bukhū`an laka fī ikrāmihi wa-i`ẓāmih
on account of Your honoring and dignifying this month,
إِلٰى مَحَلِّ حِمَامِهِ
ilā maḥalli ḥimāmih
up to his death.
اَللّٰهُمَّ فَأَعِنَّا عَلَىْ الْإِسْتِنَانِ بِسُنَّتِهِ فِيهِ
allāhumma fa-a`innā `alal istināni bisunnatihi fīh
O Allah, (please do) help us follow the example of him (i.e. the Holy Prophet as regards the honoring of this month)
وَنَيْلِ الشَّفَاعَةِ لَدَيْهِ
wanaylish shafā`ati ladayh
and help us attain his intercession for us.
اَللّٰهُمَّ وَاجْعَلْهُ لِيْ شَفِيعًا مُشَفَّعًا
allāhumma waj`alhu lī shafī`an mushaffa`ā
O Allah, (please do) decide him as my interceder (before You) whose intercession for me is acceptable
وَطَرِيقًا إِلَيْكَ مَهْيَعًا
waṭarīqan ilayka mahya`ā
and as my clear path toward You,
وَاجْعَلْنِيْ لَهُ مُتَّبِعًا
waj`alnī lahu muttabi`ā
and make me follow him
حَتّىٰ أَلْقَاكَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَنِّيْ رَاضِيًا
ḥattā alqāka yawmal qiyāmati `annī rāḍiyā
until I meet You on the Resurrection Day in such a state that You are pleased with me
وَعَنْ ذُنُوبِىْ غَاضِيًا
wa`an dhunūbī ghāḍiyā
having overlooked my sins
قَدْ أَوْجَبْتَ لِيْ مِنْكَ الرَّحْمَةَ وَالرِّضْوَانَ
qad awjabta lī minkar raḥmata war riḍwān
and confer upon me with Your mercy and good pleasure
وَأَنْزَلْتَنِيْ دَارَ الْقَرَارِ وَمَحَلَّ الْأَخْيَارِ
wa-anzaltanī dāral qarāri wamaḥallal akhyār
settling me in the Eternal Abode and the Place of the Righteous.
