اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ
as salāmu `alayka yabna rasūlillāh
Peace be upon you, O son of the Messenger of Allah
2
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّينَ
as salāmu `alayka yabna khātamin nabiyyīn
Peace be upon you, O son of the Seal of the Prophets
3
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ سَيِّدِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
as salāmu `alayka yabna sayyidil mur-salīn
Peace be upon you, O son of the Master of the Messengers
4
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ سَيِّدِ الْوَصِيِّينَ
as salāmu `alayka yabna sayyidil waṣiyyīn
Peace be upon you, O son of the Master of the Successors
5
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ
as salāmu `alayka yā abā `abdillāh
Peace be upon you, O Abu Abdullah
6
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حُسَيْنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ
as salāmu `alayka yā ḥusaynabna `aliyy
Peace be upon you, O Husayn son of Ali
7
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ فَاطِمَةَ سَيِّدَةِ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
as salāmu `alayka yabna fāṭimata sayyidati nisā-il `ālamīn
Peace be upon you, O son of Fatima, the leader of the women of the worlds

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ اللَّهِ وَابْنَ وَلِيِّهِ
as salāmu `alayka yā waliyyallāhi wabna waliyyih
Peace be upon you, O friend of Allah and son of His friend
9
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صَفِيَّ اللَّهِ وَابْنَ صَفِيِّهِ
as salāmu `alayka yā ṣafiyyallāhi wabna ṣafiyyih
Peace be upon you, O chosen one of Allah and son of His chosen one
10
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حُجَّةَ اللَّهِ وَابْنَ حُجَّتِهِ
as salāmu `alayka yā ḥujjatallāhi wabna ḥujjatih
Peace be upon you, O proof of Allah and son of His proof
11
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حَبِيبَ اللَّهِ وَابْنَ حَبِيبِهِ
as salāmu `alayka yā ḥabīballāhi wabna ḥabībih
Peace be upon you, O beloved of Allah and son of His beloved
12
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سَفِيرَ اللَّهِ وَابْنَ سَفِيرِهِ
as salāmu `alayka yā safīrallāhi wabna safīrih
Peace be upon you, O ambassador of Allah and son of His ambassador
13
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خَازِنَ الْكِتَابِ الْمَسْطُورِ
as salāmu `alayka yā khāzinal kitābil masṭūr
Peace be upon you, O keeper of the written Book
14
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَالْإِنْجِيلِ وَالزَّبُورِ
as salāmu `alayka yā wārithat tawrāti wal-injīli waz zabūr
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of the Torah, the Gospel, and the Psalms
15
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَمِيْنَ الرَّحْمٰنِ
as salāmu `alayka yā amīnar raḥmān
Peace be upon you, O trustee of the Merciful
16
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا شَرِيكَ الْقُرْآنِ
as salāmu `alayka yā sharīkal qur-ān
Peace be upon you, O partner of the Quran
17
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا عَمُودَ الدِّينِ
as salāmu `alayka yā `amūdad dīn
Peace be upon you, O pillar of religion
18
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بَابَ حِكْمَةِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
as salāmu `alayka yā bāba ḥikmati rabbil `ālamīn
Peace be upon you, O door to the wisdom of the Lord of the worlds
19
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بَابَ حِطَّةٍ الَّذِيْ مَنْ دَخَلَهُ كَانَ مِنَ الْآمِنِيْنَ
as salāmu `alayka yā bāba ḥiṭṭatinil ladhī man dakhalahu kāna minal-āminīn
Peace be upon you, O gate of forgiveness, whoever enters it is among the secured ones
20
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا عَيْبَةَ عِلْمِ اللَّهِ
as salāmu `alayka yā `aybata `ilmillāh
Peace be upon you, O treasure of Allah's knowledge
21
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْضِعَ سِرِّ اللَّهِ
as salāmu `alayka yā mawḍi`a sirrillāh
Peace be upon you, O place of Allah's secret
22
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ثَارَ اللَّهِ وَابْنَ ثَارِهِ وَالْوِتْرَ الْمَوْتُورَ
as salāmu `alayka yā thārallāhi wabna thārihi walwitral mawtūr
Peace be upon you, O vengeance of Allah and son of His vengeance, and the uncompensated victim
23
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى الْأَرْوَاحِ الَّتِيْ حَلَّتْ بِفِنَائِكَ وَأَنَاخَتْ بِرَحْلِكَ
as salāmu `alayka wa`alal ar-wāḥil latī ḥallat bifinā-ika wa-anākhat biraḥlik
Peace be upon you and upon the souls who gathered in your courtyard and dismounted at your camp
24
بِأَبِيْ أَنْتَ وَأُمِّيْ وَنَفْسِيْ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ
bi-abī anta wa-ummī wanafsī yā abā `abdillāh
May my father, my mother, and myself be your sacrifice, O Abu Abdullah
25
لَقَدْ عَظُمَتِ الْمُصِيبَةُ وَجَلَّتِ الرَّزِيَّةُ بِكَ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلٰى جَمِيْعِ أَهْلِ الْإِسْلاَمِ
laqad `aẓumatil muṣībatu wajallatir raziyyatu bika `alaynā wa`alā jamī`i ahlil islām
Great indeed is the calamity, and tremendous is the tragedy that befell upon us and upon all the people of Islam
26
فَلَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً أَسَّسَتْ أَسَاسَ الظُّلْمِ وَالْجَوْرِ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ
fala`anallāhu ummatan assasat asāsaẓ ẓulmi waljawri `alaykum ahlal bayt
May Allah curse the nation that established the foundation of oppression and tyranny against you, the People of the House
27
وَلَعَنَ اللَّهُ أُمَّةً دَفَعَتْكُمْ عَنْ مَقَامِكُمْ
wala`anallāhu ummatan dafa`atkum `an maqāmikum
And may Allah curse the nation that removed you from your position
28
وَأَزَالَتْكُمْ عَنْ مَرَاتِبِكُمُ الَّتِيْ رَتَّبَكُمُ اللَّهُ فِيهَا
wa-azālatkum `an marātibikumul latī rattabakumullāhu fīhā
And displaced you from your ranks that Allah had assigned to you
29
بِأَبِيْ أَنْتَ وَأُمِّيْ وَنَفْسِيْ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ
bi-abī anta wa-ummī wanafsī yā abā `abdillāh
May my father, my mother, and myself be your sacrifice, O Abu Abdullah
30
أَشْهَدُ لَقَدِ اقْشَعَرَّتْ لِدِمَائِكُمْ أَظِلَّةُ الْعَرْشِ مَعَ أَظِلَّةِ الْخَلائِقِ
ash-hadu laqadiqsha`arrat lidimā-ikum aẓillatul `ar-shi ma`a aẓillatil khalā-iq
I bear witness that the shadows of the Throne along with the shadows of all creation trembled for your blood
31
وَبَكَتْكُمُ السَّمَاءُ وَالْأَرْضُ وَسُكَّانُ الْجِنَانِ وَالْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ
wabakatkumus samā-u wal-ar-ḍu wasukkānul jināni walbarri walbaḥr
And the heaven and earth wept for you, as did the dwellers of Paradise, land, and sea
32
صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ عَدَدَ مَا فِيْ عِلْمِ اللَّهِ
ṣallallāhu `alayka `adada mā fī `ilmillāh
May Allah send blessings upon you as numerous as what is in Allah's knowledge
33
لَبَّيْكَ دَاعِيَ اللَّهِ
labbayka dā`iyallāh
Here I am, answering your call, O caller to Allah
34
إِنْ كَانَ لَمْ يُجِبْكَ بَدَنِيْ عِنْدَ اسْتِغَاثَتِكَ وَلِسَانِيْ عِنْدَ اسْتِنْصَارِكَ
in kāna lam yujibka badanī `indastighāthatika walisānī `indastinṣārik
If my body did not respond to your cry for help, nor my tongue to your call for support
35
فَقَدْ أَجَابَكَ قَلْبِيْ وَسَمْعِيْ وَبَصَرِي
faqad ajābaka qalbī wasam`ī wabaṣarī
Then surely my heart, my hearing, and my sight have responded to you
36
سُبْحٰانَ رَبِّنٰا إِنْ كٰانَ وَعْدُ رَبِّنٰا لَمَفْعُولًا
subḥāna rabbinā in kāna wa`du rabbinā lamaf`ūlā
Glory be to our Lord, indeed the promise of our Lord is fulfilled
37
أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ طُهْرٌ طَاهِرٌ مُطَهَّرٌ مِنْ طُهْرٍ طَاهِرٍ مُطَهَّرٍ
ash-hadu annaka ṭuhrun ṭāhirun muṭahharun min ṭuhrin ṭāhirin muṭahhar
I bear witness that you are pure, purified, and purifying, from a pure, purified, and purifying origin
38
طَهُرْتَ وَطَهُرَتْ بِكَ الْبِلادُ
ṭahur-ta waṭahurat bikal bilād
You are pure and the lands have been purified through you
39
وَطَهُرَتْ أَرْضٌ أَنْتَ بِهَا وَطَهُرَ حَرَمُكَ
waṭahurat ar-ḍun anta bihā waṭahura ḥaramuk
And the earth in which you rest is purified, and your sanctuary is purified
40
أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ قَدْ أَمَرْتَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَالْعَدْلِ وَدَعَوْتَ إِلَيْهِمَا
ash-hadu annaka qad amar-ta bil qisṭi wal`adli wada`awta ilayhimā
I bear witness that you commanded justice and fairness and called to them
41
وَأَنَّكَ صَادِقٌ صِدِّيقٌ صَدَقْتَ فِيمَا دَعَوْتَ إِلَيْهِ
wa-annaka ṣādiqun ṣiddīqun ṣadaqta fīmā da`awta ilayh
And that you are truthful and sincere in what you called to
42
وَأَنَّكَ ثَارُ اللَّهِ فِيْ الْأَرْضِ
wa-annaka thārullāhi fil ar-ḍ
And that you are Allah's vengeance on earth
43
وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ قَدْ بَلَّغْتَ عَنِ اللَّهِ
wa-ash-hadu annaka qad ballaghta `anillāh
And I bear witness that you conveyed from Allah
44
وَعَنْ جَدِّكَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ
wa`an jaddika rasūlillāh
And from your grandfather, the Messenger of Allah
45
وَعَنْ أَبِيكَ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
wa`an abīka amīril mu-minīn
And from your father, the Commander of the Faithful
46
وَعَنْ أَخِيكَ الْحَسَنِ
wa`an akhīkal ḥasan
And from your brother, Al-Hasan
47
وَنَصَحْتَ وَجَاهَدْتَ فِيْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ
wanaṣaḥta wajāhadta fī sabīlillāh
And you advised and strived in the way of Allah
48
وَعَبَدْتَهُ مُخْلِصًا حَتَّىٰ أَتَاكَ الْيَقِينُ
wa`abadtahu mukhliṣan ḥattā atākal yaqīn
And you worshipped Him sincerely until certainty (death) came to you
49
فَجَزَاكَ اللَّهُ خَيْرَ جَزَاءِ السَّابِقِينَ
fajazākallāhu khayra jazā-is sābiqīn
May Allah reward you with the best reward of the forerunners
50
وَصَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ وَسَلَّمَ تَسْلِيْمًا
waṣallallāhu `alayka wasallama taslīmā
And may Allah's blessings and peace be upon you
51
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَصَلِّ عَلَى الْحُسَيْنِ الْمَظْلُومِ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammadin waṣalli `alal ḥusaynil maẓlūm
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and bless Husayn, the oppressed
52
اَلشَّهِيدِ الرَّشِيدِ
ash shahīdir rashīd
The martyr, the guided one
53
قَتِيلِ الْعَبَرَاتِ
qatīlil `abarāt
The one killed amidst tears
54
وَأَسِيرِ الْكُرُبَاتِ
wa-asīril kurubāt
And the captive of afflictions
55
صَلاةً نَامِيَةً زَاكِيَةً مُبَارَكَةً
ṣalātan nāmiyatan zākiyatan mubārakah
Blessings that are ever-increasing, pure, and blessed
56
يَصْعَدُ أَوَّلُهَا وَلَا يَنْفَدُ آخِرُهَا
yaṣ`adu awwaluhā walā yanfadu-ākhiruhā
Whose beginning ascends and whose end is never exhausted
57
أَفْضَلَ مَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلٰى أَحَدٍ مِنْ أَوْلاَدِ أَنْبِيَائِكَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
afḍala mā ṣallayta `alā aḥadin min awlādi anbiyā-ikal mur-salīn
The best of what You have blessed any of the children of Your sent Prophets with
58
يَا إِلٰهَ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
yā ilāhal `ālamīn
O God of the worlds
