بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the Name of Allāh, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O' Allāh send Your blessings on Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.
1
خَابَ الْوَافِدُوْنَ عَلٰى غَيْرِكَ
khābal wāfidūna `alā ghayrik
Those who approach other than You are disappointed.
2
وَخَسِرَ الْمُتَعَرِّضُونَ إِلَّا لَكَ
wakhasiral muta`arriḍūna illā lak
Those who try to gain the favour of other than You are losers;
3
وَضَاعَ الْمُلِمُّونَ إِلَّا بِكَ
waḍā`al mulimmūna illā bik
those who make other than You the goal of their journey perish;
4
وَأَجْدَبَ الْمُنْتَجِعُونَ إِلَّا مَنِ انْتَجَعَ فَضْلَكَ
wa-ajdabal muntaji`ūna illā manintaja`a faḍlak
and all except those who seek resort in Your grace face desolation
5
بَابُكَ مَفْتُوحٌ لِلرَّاغِبِينَ
bābuka maftūḥun lirrāghibīn
Your door is open for the seekers
6
وَخَيْرُكَ مَبْذُولٌ لِلطَّالِبِينَ
wakhayruka mabdhūlun liṭṭālibīn
and your boons are given to those who seek them,
7
وَفَضْلُكَ مُبَاحٌ لِلسَّائِلِينَ
wafaḍluka mubāḥun lissā-ilīn
and Your grace is freely available to those who ask for it,
8
وَنَيْلُكَ مُتَاحٌ لِلْآمِلِينَ
wanayluka mutāḥun lil-āmilīn
Access to You is granted to those who hope for it!
9
وَرِزْقُكَ مَبْسُوطٌ لِمَنْ عَصَاكَ
warizquka mabsūṭun liman `aṣāk
Your sustenance is extended for even those who disobey You.
10
وَحِلْمُكَ مُعْتَرِضٌ لِمَنْ نَاوَاكَ
waḥilmuka mu`tariḍun liman nāwāk
Your forbearance extends to those who antagonize You.
11
عَادَتُكَ الْإِحْسَانُ إِلَى الْمُسِيئِينَ
`ādatukal iḥsānu ilal musī-īn
Your habit is to do favor to the wrongdoers
12
وَسَبِيلُكَ الْإِبْقَاءُ عَلَى الْمُعْتَدِيْنَ
wasabīlukal ibqā-u `alal mu`tadīn
and Your way is to be benevolent to the transgressors.
13
اَللّٰهُمَّ فَاهْدِنِيْ هُدَى الْمُهْتَدِيْنَ
allāhumma fahdinī hudal muhtadīn
O Allah, so [lovingly] guide me with guidance enjoyed by the rightly-guided,
14
وَارْزُقْنِيْ اجْتِهَادَ الْمُجْتَهِدِيْنَ
war-zuqnijtihādal mujtahidīn
and enable me to strive like the diligent,
15
وَلَا تَجْعَلْنِيْ مِنَ الْغَافِلِينَ الْمُبْعَدِيْنَ
walā taj`alnī minal ghāfilīnal mub`adīn
do not place me with the negligent who are kept at a distance from You
16
وَاغْفِرْ لِيْ يَوْمَ الدِّينِ
waghfir lī yawmad dīn
and forgive me on the Day of Retribution.
