بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
1
إِلٰهِيْ لَاتُؤَدِّبْنِيْ بِعُقُوبَتِكَ
ilāhī lātu-addibnī bi`uqūbatik
My God, do not discipline me with Your punishment
2
وَلَا تَمْكُرْ بِىْ فِيْ حِيْلَتِكَ
walā tamkur bī fī ḥīlatik
And do not plot against me with Your strategy
3
مِنْ أَيْنَ لِيَ الْخَيْرُ يَا رَبِّ
min ayna liyal khayru yā rabb
From where can I obtain good, O Lord
4
وَلَا يُوجَدُ إِلَّا مِنْ عِنْدِكَ
walā yūjadu illā min `indik
When it can only be found with You
5
وَمِنْ أَيْنَ لِيَ النَّجَاةُ
wamin ayna liyan najāh
And from where can I find salvation
6
وَلَا تُسْتَطَاعُ إِلَّا بِكَ
walā tustaṭā`u illā bik
When it cannot be attained except through You
7
لَا الَّذِيْ أَحْسَنَ اسْتَغْنىٰ عَنْ عَوْنِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ
lal ladhī aḥsanastaghnā `an `awnika waraḥmatik
Neither can one who does good dispense with Your help and mercy
8
وَلَا الَّذِيْ أَسَاءَ وَاجْتَرَأَ عَلَيْكَ
walal ladhī asā-a wajtara-a `alayk
Nor can one who did wrong and displeased You
9
وَلَمْ يُرْضِكَ خَرَجَ عَنْ قُدْرَتِكَ
walam yur-ḍika kharaja `an qudratik
Escape from Your power
Repeat this phrase as many times as possible in one breath:
11
بِكَ عَرَفْتُكَ
bika `araftuk
Through You I have known You
12
وَأَنْتَ دَلَلْتَنِيْ عَلَيْكَ
wa-anta dalaltanī `alayk
It is You who guided me to Yourself
13
وَدَعَوْتَنِيْ إِلَيْكَ
wada`awtanī ilayk
And invited me to You
14
وَلَوْلَا أَنْتَ لَمْ أَدْرِ مَا أَنْتَ
walawlā anta lam adri mā ant
Had it not been for You, I would not have known who You are
15
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ أَدْعُوهُ فَيُجِيبُنِي
al ḥamdu lillāhil ladhī ad`ūhu fayujībunī
All praise is for Allah whom I call and He answers me
16
وَإِنْ كُنْتُ بَطِيئًا حِيْنَ يَدْعُونِي
wa-in kuntu baṭī-an ḥīna yad`ūnī
Even though I am slow to respond when He calls me
17
وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ أَسْأَلُهُ فَيُعْطِينِي
walḥamdu lillāhil ladhī as-aluhu fayu`ṭīnī
And praise be to Allah whom I ask and He gives to me
18
وَإِنْ كُنْتُ بَخِيلًا حِيْنَ يَسْتَقْرِضُنِي
wa-in kuntu bakhīlan ḥīna yastaqriḍunī
Even though I am stingy when He seeks a loan from me
19
وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ أُنَادِيهِ كُلَّمَا شِئْتُ لِحَاجَتِيْ
walḥamdu lillāhil ladhī unādīhi kullamā shi-tu liḥājatī
And praise be to Allah whom I call whenever I wish for my needs
20
وَأَخْلُوْ بِهِ حَيْثُ شِئْتُ لِسِرِّى بِغَيْرِ شَفِيعٍ
wa-akhlū bihi ḥaythu shi-tu lisirrī bighayri shafī`
And confide in Him privately for my secrets without any intermediary
21
فَيَقْضِيْ لِيْ حَاجَتِيْ
fayaqḍī lī ḥājatī
So He fulfills my need
22
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ لَاأَدْعُوْ غَيْرَهُ
al ḥamdu lillāhil ladhī lā-ad`ū ghayrah
All praise is for Allah whom I do not call upon anyone but Him
23
وَلَوْ دَعَوْتُ غَيْرَهُ لَمْ يَسْتَجِبْ لِيْ دُعَائِي
walaw da`awtu ghayrahu lam yastajib lī du`ā-ī
If I were to call upon others, they would not answer my prayer
24
وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ لَاأَرْجُوْ غَيْرَهُ
walḥamdu lillāhil ladhī lā-ar-jū ghayrah
And praise be to Allah in whom I place my hope in none but Him
25
وَلَوْ رَجَوْتُ غَيْرَهُ لَأَخْلَفَ رَجَائِي
walaw rajawtu ghayrahu la-akhlafa rajā-ī
If I were to hope in others, they would disappoint my hope
26
وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ وَكَّلَنِيْ إِلَيْهِ فَأَكْرَمَنِي
walḥamdu lillāhil ladhī wakkalanī ilayhi fa-akramanī
And praise be to Allah who entrusted me to Him and honored me
27
وَلَمْ يَكِلْنِيْ إِلَى النَّاسِ فَيُهِينُونِي
walam yakilnī ilan nāsi fayuhīnūnī
And did not leave me to the people who would humiliate me
28
وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ تَحَبَّبَ إِلَيَّ
walḥamdu lillāhil ladhī taḥabbaba ilayy
And praise be to Allah who endeared Himself to me
29
وَهُوَ غَنِيٌّ عَنِّي
wahuwa ghaniyyun `annī
Though He is free of any need for me
30
وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ يَحْلُمُ عَنِّي
walḥamdu lillāhil ladhī yaḥlumu `annī
And praise be to Allah who is forbearing with me
31
حَتَّىٰ كَأَنِّي لَا ذَنْبَ لِيْ
ḥattā ka-annī lā dhanba lī
As if I have no sins
32
فَرَبِّي أَحْمَدُ شَيْءٍ عِنْدِيْ
farabbī aḥmadu shay-in `indī
So my Lord is most deserving of my praise
33
وَأَحَقُّ بِحَمْدِيْ
wa-aḥaqqu biḥamdī
And most worthy of my gratitude
34
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَجِدُ سُبُلَ الْمَطَالِبِ إِلَيْكَ مُشْرَعَةً
allāhumma innī ajidu subulal maṭālibi ilayka mushra`ah
O Allah, I find the paths of requests to You wide open
35
وَمَنَاهِلَ الرَّجَاءِ لَدَيْكَ مُتْرَعَةً
wamanāhilar rajā-i ladayka mutra`ah
And the springs of hope with You overflowing
36
وَالْإِسْتِعَانَةَ بِفَضْلِكَ لِمَنْ أَمَّلَكَ مُبَاحَةً
wal-isti`ānata bifaḍlika liman ammalaka mubāḥah
And seeking help through Your favor is permissible for those who hope in You
37
وَأَبْوَابَ الدُّعَاءِ إِلَيْكَ لِلصَّارِخِينَ مَفْتُوحَةً
wa-abwābad du`ā-i ilayka liṣṣārikhīna maftūḥah
And the doors of prayer are open to those who cry out to You
38
وَأَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ لِلرَّاجِينَ بِمَوْضِعِ إِجَابَةٍ
wa-a`lamu annaka lirrājīna bimawḍi`i ijābah
And I know that You are for those who hope in You a place of answered prayer
39
وَلِلْمَلْهُوفِينَ بِمَرْصَدِ إِغَاثَةٍ
walilmalhūfīna bimar-ṣadi ighāthah
And for those in distress a place of relief
40
وَأَنَّ فِيْ اللَّهْفِ إِلٰى جُودِكَ
wa-anna fillāhfi ilā jūdik
And that in yearning for Your generosity
41
وَالرِّضَا بِقَضَائِكَ
war riḍā biqaḍā-ik
And being content with Your decree
42
عِوَضًا مِنْ مَنْعِ الْبَاخِلِينَ
`iwaḍan min man`il bākhilīn
Is a compensation for what the miserly withhold
43
وَمَنْدُوحَةً عَمَّا فِيْ أَيْدِيْ الْمُسْتَأْثِرِينَ
wamandūḥatan `ammā fī aydil musta-thirīn
And a substitute for what the selfish possess
44
وَأَنَّ الرَّاحِلَ إِلَيْكَ قَرِيبُ الْمَسَافَةِ
wa-annar rāḥila ilayka qarībul masāfah
And that the one journeying to You is near in distance
45
وَأَنَّكَ لَاتَحْتَجِبُ عَنْ خَلْقِكَ
wa-annaka lātaḥtajibu `an khalqik
And that You do not veil Yourself from Your creation
46
إِلَّا أَنْ تَحْجُبَهُمُ الْأَعْمَالُ دُونَكَ
illā an taḥjubahumul a`mālu dūnak
Except when their evil deeds block them from You
47
وَقَدْ قَصَدْتُ إِلَيْكَ بِطَلِبَتِيْ
waqad qaṣadtu ilayka biṭalibatī
And I have directed myself to You with my request
48
وَتَوَجَّهْتُ إِلَيْكَ بِحَاجَتِيْ
watawajjahtu ilayka biḥājatī
And turned to You with my need
49
وَجَعَلْتُ بِكَ اسْتِغَاثَتِيْ
waja`altu bikastighāthatī
And I have made my plea for help to You
50
وَبِدُعَائِكَ تَوَسُّلِيْ
wabidu`ā-ika tawassulī
And my means of gaining access is through supplicating to You
51
مِنْ غَيْرِ اسْتِحْقَاقٍ لِاسْتِمَاعِكَ مِنِّي
min ghayristiḥqāqin listimā`ika minnī
Not because I deserve to be heard by You
52
وَلَا اسْتِيجَابٍ لِعَفْوِكَ عَنِّي
walastījābin li`afwika `annī
Nor for being worthy of Your pardon
53
بَلْ لِثِقَتِيْ بِكَرَمِكَ
bal lithiqatī bikaramik
But because of my trust in Your generosity
54
وَسُكُونِيْ إِلٰى صِدْقِ وَعْدِكَ
wasukūnī ilā ṣidqi wa`dik
And my reliance on the truthfulness of Your promise
55
وَلَجَإِى إِلَى الْإِيمَانِ بِتَوْحِيدِكَ
walaja-ī ilal īmāni bitawḥīdik
And my seeking refuge in my faith in Your Oneness
56
وَيَقِينِيْ بِمَعْرِفَتِكَ مِنِّي
wayaqīnī bima`rifatika minnī
And my certainty in the knowledge that
57
أَنْ لَا رَبَّ لِيْ غَيْرُكَ
an lā rabba lī ghayruk
I have no Lord but You
58
وَلَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
walā ilāha illā ant
And there is no deity except You
59
وَحْدَكَ لَاشَرِيكَ لَكَ
waḥdaka lāsharīka lak
Alone without any partner
60
اَللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ الْقَائِلُ وَقَوْلُكَ حَقٌّ
allāhumma antal qā-ilu waqawluka ḥaqq
O Allah, You are the One who said - and Your word is true
61
وَوَعْدُكَ صِدْقٌ
wawa`duka ṣidq
And Your promise is truthful
62
وَاسْأَلُوْا اللَّهَ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ
was-alullāha min faḍlih
"Ask Allah from His grace
63
إِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ بِكُمْ رَحِيْمَا
innallāha kāna bikulli shay-in `alīmā
Indeed Allah is ever merciful to you"
64
وَلَيْسَ مِنْ صِفَاتِكَ يَا سَيِّدِيْ
walaysa min ṣifātika yā sayyidī
And it is not of Your attributes, O my Master
65
أَنْ تَأْمُرَ بِالسُّؤالِ وَتَمْنَعَ الْعَطِيَّةَ
an ta-mura bissu-ali watamna`al `aṭiyyah
To command asking and then withhold giving
66
وَأَنْتَ الْمَنَّانُ بِالْعَطِيَّاتِ عَلَى أَهْلِ مَمْلَكَتِكَ
wa-antal mannānu bil `aṭiyyāti `alā ahli mamlakatik
You are the Bestower of gifts upon the people of Your kingdom
67
وَالْعَائِدُ عَلَيْهِمْ بِتَحَنُّنِ رَأْفَتِكَ
wal`ā-idu `alayhim bitaḥannuni ra-fatik
And the One who returns to them with the tenderness of Your mercy
68
إِلٰهِيْ رَبَّيْتَنِيْ فِيْ نِعَمِكَ وَإِحْسَانِكَ صَغِيرًا
ilāhī rabbaytanī fī ni`amika wa-iḥsānika ṣaghīrā
My God, You nurtured me in Your blessings and favors when I was small
69
وَنَوَّهْتَ بِاسْمِيْ كَبِيرًا
wanawwahta bismī kabīrā
And You exalted my name when I grew up
70
فَيَا مَنْ رَبَّانِيْ فِيْ الدُّنْيَا بِإِحْسَانِهِ
fayā man rabbānī fid dunyā bi-iḥsānih
O He who raised me in this world with His kindness
71
وَتَفَضُّلِهِ وَنِعَمِهِ
watafaḍḍulihi wani`amih
His favor, and His blessings
72
وَأَشَارَ لِيْ فِيْ الْآخِرَةِ إِلٰى عَفْوِهِ وَكَرَمِهِ
wa-ashāra lī fil-ākhirati ilā `afwihi wakaramih
And pointed me in the hereafter to His pardon and generosity
73
مَعْرِفَتِيْ يَا مَوْلاَيَ دَلِيلِيْ عَلَيْكَ
ma`rifatī yā mawlāya dalīlī `alayk
My knowledge of You, O my Master, is my guide to You
74
وَحُبِّي لَكَ شَفِيعِيْ إِلَيْكَ
waḥubbī laka shafī`ī ilayk
And my love for You is my intercessor to You
75
وَأَنَا وَاثِقٌ مِنْ دَلِيلِيْ بِدَلالَتِكَ
wa-ana wāthiqun min dalīlī bidalālatik
And I am confident in my guide because of Your guidance
76
وَسَاكِنٌ مِنْ شَفِيعِيْ إِلٰى شَفَاعَتِكَ
wasākinun min shafī`ī ilā shafā`atik
And assured about my intercessor because of Your intercession
77
أَدْعُوكَ يَا سَيِّدِيْ بِلِسَانٍ قَدْ أَخْرَسَهُ ذَنْبُهُ
ad`ūka yā sayyidī bilisānin qad akhrasahu dhanbuh
I call upon You, O my Master, with a tongue that has been silenced by its sin
78
رَبِّ أُنَاجِيكَ بِقَلْبٍ قَدْ أَوْبَقَهُ جُرْمُهُ
rabbi unājīka biqalbin qad awbaqahu jur-muh
O Lord, I converse with You with a heart that has been ruined by its offense
79
أَدْعُوكَ يَا رَبِّ رَاهِبًا رَاغِبًا
ad`ūka yā rabbi rāhiban rāghibā
I call upon You, O Lord, fearful yet hopeful
80
رَاجِيًا خَائِفًا
rājiyan khā-ifā
Hoping yet afraid
81
إِذَا رَأَيْتُ مَوْلَايَ ذُنُوبِىْ فَزِعْتُ
idhā ra-aytu mawlāya dhunūbī fazi`t
When I see my sins, O my Master, I become frightened
82
وَإِذَا رَأَيْتُ كَرَمَكَ طَمِعْتُ
wa-idhā ra-aytu karamaka ṭami`t
And when I see Your generosity, I become hopeful
83
فَإِنْ عَفَوْتَ فَخَيْرُ رَاحِمٍ
fa-in `afawta fakhayru rāḥim
So if You forgive, You are the best of those who show mercy
84
وَإِنْ عَذَّبْتَ فَغَيْرُ ظَالِمٍ
wa-in `adhhabta faghayru ẓālim
And if You punish, You have not been unjust
85
حُجَّتِيْ يَا اَللَّهُ فِيْ جُرْأَتِيْ عَلَى مَسْأَلَتِكَ
ḥujjatī yā allāhu fī jur-atī `alā mas-alatik
My argument, O Allah, in my daring to ask You
86
مَعَ إِتْيَانِيْ مَا تَكْرَهُ جُودُكَ وَكَرَمُكَ
ma`a ityānī mā takrahu jūduka wakaramuk
Despite having done what You dislike, is Your generosity and Your munificence
87
وَعُدَّتِيْ فِيْ شِدَّتِيْ مَعَ قِلَّةِ حَيَائِي رَأْفَتُكَ وَرَحْمَتُكَ
wa`uddatī fī shiddatī ma`a qillati ḥayā-ī ra-fatuka waraḥmatuk
And my provision in my hardship, despite my lack of modesty, is Your compassion and mercy
88
وَقَدْ رَجَوْتُ أَنْ لَاتَخِيبَ بَيْنَ ذَيْنِ وَذَيْنِ مُنْيَتِيْ
waqad rajawtu an lātakhība bayna dhayni wadhayni munyatī
And I hope that my wish will not be disappointed between these two
89
فَحَقِّقْ رَجَائِي
faḥaqqiq rajā-ī
So fulfill my hope
90
وَاسْمَعْ دُعَائِي
wasma` du`ā-ī
And hear my prayer
91
يَا خَيْرَ مَنْ دَعَاهُ دَاعٍ
yā khayra man da`āhu dā`
O Best of those whom a caller has called
92
وَأَفْضَلَ مَنْ رَجَاهُ رَاجٍ
wa-afḍala man rajāhu rāj
And Best of those in whom a hoper has placed hope
93
عَظُمَ يَا سَيِّدِيْ أَمَلِيْ وَسَاءَ عَمَلِيْ
`aẓuma yā sayyidī amalī wasā-a `amalī
Great is my hope, O my Master, and bad is my deed
94
فَأَعْطِنِيْ مِنْ عَفْوِكَ بِمِقْدَارِ أَمَلِيْ
fa-a`ṭinī min `afwika bimiqdāri amalī
So grant me from Your pardon according to the extent of my hope
95
وَلَا تُؤَاخِذْنِيْ بِأَسْوَءِ عَمَلِيْ
walā tu-ākhidhnī bi-aswa-i `amalī
And do not hold me accountable for the worst of my deeds
96
فَإِنَّ كَرَمَكَ يَجِلُّ عَنْ مُجَازَاةِ الْمُذْنِبِينَ
fa-inna karamaka yajillu `an mujāzātil mudhnibīn
For Your generosity is too great to punish the sinners
97
وَحِلْمَكَ يَكْبُرُ عَنْ مُكَافَاةِ الْمُقَصِّرِينَ
waḥilmaka yakburu `an mukāfātil muqaṣṣirīn
And Your forbearance is too vast to repay the negligent
98
وَأَنَا يَا سَيِّدِيْ عَائِذٌ بِفَضْلِكَ
wa-ana yā sayyidī `ā-idhun bifaḍlik
And I, O my Master, seek refuge in Your bounty
99
هَارِبٌ مِنْكَ إِلَيْكَ
hāribun minka ilayk
I flee from You to You
100
مُتَنَجِّزٌ مَا وَعَدْتَ مِنَ الصَّفْحِ عَمَّنْ أَحْسَنَ بِكَ ظَنًّا
mutanajjizun mā wa`adta minaṣ ṣafḥi `amman aḥsana bika ẓannā
Anticipating the promise of forgiveness which You have granted to one who had good thoughts of You
101
وَمَا أَنَا يَا رَبِّ وَمَا خَطَرِيْ
wamā ana yā rabbi wamā khaṭarī
And what am I, O Lord, and what is my significance?
102
هَبْنِيْ بِفَضْلِكَ
habnī bifaḍlik
Grant me through Your favor
103
وَتَصَدَّقْ عَلَيَّ بِعَفْوِكَ
wataṣaddaq `alayya bi`afwik
And be charitable to me through Your pardon
104
أَيْ رَبِّ جَلِّلْنِيْ بِسِتْرِكَ
ay rabbi jallinī bisitrik
O Lord, cover me with Your veil
105
وَاعْفُ عَنْ تَوْبِيخِيْ بِكَرَمِ وَجْهِكَ
wa`fu `an tawbīkhī bikarami wajhik
And refrain from rebuking me by the honor of Your face
106
فَلَوِ اطَّلَعَ الْيَوْمَ عَلَى ذَنْبِىْ غَيْرُكَ مَا فَعَلْتُهُ
falawiṭṭala`al yawma `alā dhanbī ghayruka mā fa`altuh
For if anyone besides You had known of my sin today, I would not have done it
107
وَلَوْ خِفْتُ تَعْجِيلَ الْعُقُوبَةِ لَاجْتَنَبْتُهُ
walaw khiftu ta`jīlal `uqūbati lajtanabtuh
And had I feared immediate punishment, I would have avoided it
108
لَا لِأَنَّكَ أَهْوَنُ النَّاظِرِينَ إِلَيَّ
lā li-annaka ahwanun nāẓirīna ilayy
Not because You are the least significant of watchers to me
109
وَأَخَفُّ الْمُطَّلِعِينَ عَلَيَّ
wa-akhafful muṭṭali`īna `alayy
And the lightest of observers over me
110
بَلْ لِأَنَّكَ يَا رَبِّ خَيْرُ السَّاتِرِينَ
bal li-annaka yā rabbi khayrus sātirīn
But because You, O Lord, are the best of concealers
111
وَأَحْكَمُ الْحَاكِمِيْنَ
wa-aḥkamul ḥākimīn
The Wisest of judges
112
وَأَكْرَمُ الْأَكْرَمِيْنَ
wa-akramul akramīn
And the Most Generous of the generous
113
سَتَّارُ الْعُيُوبِ
sattārul `uyūb
Concealer of faults
114
غَفَّارُ الذُّنُوبِ
ghaffārudh dhunūb
Forgiver of sins
115
عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوبِ
`allāmul ghuyūb
Knower of the unseen
116
تَسْتُرُ الذَّنْبَ بِكَرَمِكَ
tasturudh dhanba bikaramik
You cover the sin with Your generosity
117
وَتُؤَخِّرُ الْعُقُوبَةَ بِحِلْمِكَ
watu-akhhirul `uqūbata biḥilmik
And delay the punishment with Your forbearance
118
فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلَى حِلْمِكَ بَعْدَ عِلْمِكَ
falakal ḥamdu `alā ḥilmika ba`da `ilmik
So praise be to You for Your forbearance despite Your knowledge
119
وَعَلَى عَفْوِكَ بَعْدَ قُدْرَتِكَ
wa`alā `afwika ba`da qudratik
And for Your pardon despite Your power
120
وَيَحْمِلُنِيْ وَيُجَرِّئُنِيْ عَلَى مَعْصِيَتِكَ حِلْمُكَ عَنِّي
wayaḥmilunī wayujarri-unī `alā ma`ṣiyatika ḥilmuka `annī
What emboldens me to disobey You is Your forbearance with me
121
وَيَدْعُونِيْ إِلٰى قِلَّةِ الْحَيَاءِ سِتْرُكَ عَلَيَّ
wayad`ūnī ilā qillatil ḥayā-i sitruka `alayy
And what invites me to lack modesty is Your concealment of my faults
122
وَيُسْرِعُنِيْ إِلٰى التَّوَثُّبِ عَلَى مَحَارِمِكَ مَعْرِفَتِيْ بِسَعَةِ رَحْمَتِكَ وَعَظِيمِ عَفْوِكَ
wayusri`unī ilat tawathhubi `alā maḥārimika ma`rifatī bisa`ati raḥmatika wa`aẓīmi `afwik
And what hastens me to leap into the forbidden is my knowledge of the vastness of Your mercy and the greatness of Your pardon
123
يَا حَلِيمُ يَا كَرِيمُ
yā ḥalīmu yā karīm
O Forbearing, O Generous
124
يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ
yā ḥayyu yā qayyūm
O Living, O Self-Subsisting
125
يَا غَافِرَ الذَّنْبِ
yā ghāfiradh dhanb
O Forgiver of sin
126
يَا قَابِلَ التَّوْبِ
yā qābilat tawb
O Acceptor of repentance
127
يَا عَظِيمَ الْمَنِّ
yā `aẓīmal mann
O Great in beneficence
128
يَا قَدِيمَ الْإِحْسَانِ
yā qadīmal iḥsān
O Ancient in favor
129
أَيْنَ سِتْرُكَ الْجَمِيلُ
ayna sitrukal jamīl
Where is Your beautiful covering
130
أَيْنَ عَفْوُكَ الْجَلِيلُ
ayna `afwukal jalīl
Where is Your sublime pardon
131
أَيْنَ فَرَجُكَ الْقَرِيبُ
ayna farajukal qarīb
Where is Your near relief
132
أَيْنَ غِيَاثُكَ السَّرِيعُ
ayna ghiyāthukas sarī`
Where is Your quick help
133
أَيْنَ رَحْمَتُكَ الْوَاسِعَةُ
ayna raḥmatukal wāsi`ah
Where is Your vast mercy
134
أَيْنَ عَطَايَاكَ الْفَاضِلَةُ
ayna `aṭāyākal fāḍilah
Where are Your abundant gifts
135
أَيْنَ مَوَاهِبُكَ الْهَنِيئَةُ
ayna mawāhibukal hanī-ah
Where are Your pleasant bestowals
136
أَيْنَ صَنَائِعُكَ السَّنِيَّةُ
ayna ṣanā-i`ukas saniyyah
Where are Your beautiful favors
137
أَيْنَ فَضْلُكَ الْعَظِيمُ
ayna faḍlukal `aẓīm
Where is Your great bounty
138
أَيْنَ مَنُّكَ الْجَسِيمُ
ayna mannukal jasīm
Where is Your immense blessing
139
أَيْنَ إِحْسَانُكَ الْقَدِيمُ
ayna iḥsānukal qadīm
Where is Your ancient beneficence
140
أَيْنَ كَرَمُكَ يَا كَرِيمُ
ayna karamuka yā karīm
Where is Your generosity, O Generous
141
بِهِ وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ فَاسْتَنْقِذْنِي
bihi wabimuḥammadin wa āli muḥammadin fastanqidhnī
By it and by Muhammad and his family, rescue me
142
وَبِرَحْمَتِكَ فَخَلِّصْنِي
wabiraḥmatika fakhalliṣnī
And by Your mercy, save me
143
يَا مُحْسِنُ
yā muḥsin
O Benevolent
144
يَا مُجْمِلُ
yā mujmil
O Beautiful
145
يَا مُنْعِمُ يَا مُفْضِلُ
yā mun`imu yā mufḍil
O Bestower of blessings, O Gracious
146
لَسْتُ أَتَّكِلُ فِيْ النَّجَاةِ مِنْ عِقَابِكَ عَلَى أَعْمَالِنَا
lastu attakilu fin najāti min `iqābika `alā a`mālinā
I do not rely for my salvation from Your punishment upon our deeds
147
بَلْ بِفَضْلِكَ عَلَيْنَا
bal bifaḍlika `alaynā
But upon Your favor toward us
148
لِأَنَّكَ أَهْلُ التَّقْوٰى وَأَهْلُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ
li-annaka ahlut taqwā wa-ahlul maghfirah
For You are the Lord of righteousness and the Lord of forgiveness
149
تُبْدِئُ بِالْإِحْسَانِ نِعَمًا
tubdi-u bil iḥsāni ni`amā
You initiate with blessings as favor
150
وَتَعْفُوْ عَنِ الذَّنْبِ كَرَمًا
wata`fū `anidh dhanbi karamā
And pardon sin out of generosity
151
فَمَا نَدْرِيْ مَا نَشْكُرُ
famā nadrī mā nashkur
So we do not know what to thank You for
152
أَجَمِيلَ مَا تَنْشُرُ أَمْ قَبِيحَ مَا تَسْتُرُ
ajamīla mā tanshuru am qabīḥa mā tastur
Is it for the good that You spread or the bad that You conceal
153
أَمْ عَظِيمَ مَا أَبْلَيْتَ وَأَوْلَيْتَ
am `aẓīma mā ablayta wa-awlayt
Or for the great trials You have averted and given
154
أَمْ كَثِيرَ مَا مِنْهُ نَجَّيْتَ وَعَافَيْتَ
am kathīra mā minhu najjayta wa`āfayt
Or for the many things from which You have saved us and cured us
155
يَا حَبِيبَ مَنْ تَحَبَّبَ إِلَيْكَ
yā ḥabība man taḥabbaba ilayk
O Beloved of those who love You
156
وَيَا قُرَّةَ عَيْنِ مَنْ لاَذَ بِكَ وَانْقَطَعَ إِلَيْكَ
wayā qurrata `ayni man lādha bika wanqaṭa`a ilayk
And O Delight of the eyes of those who seek refuge in You and dedicate themselves to You
157
أَنْتَ الْمُحْسِنُ وَنَحْنُ الْمُسِيئُونَ
antal muḥsinu wanaḥnul musī-ūn
You are the Benevolent and we are the wrongdoers
158
فَتَجَاوَزْ يَا رَبِّ عَنْ قَبِيحِ مَا عِنْدَنَا بِجَمِيلِ مَا عِنْدَكَ
fatajāwaz yā rabbi `an qabīḥi mā `indanā bijamīli mā `indak
So overlook, O Lord, the ugliness of what we have with the beauty of what You have
159
وَأَيُّ جَهْلٍ يَا رَبِّ لَايَسَعُهُ جُودُكَ
wa-ayyu jahlin yā rabbi lāyasa`uhu jūduk
And what ignorance, O Lord, is not accommodated by Your generosity
160
أَوْ أَيُّ زَمَانٍ أَطْوَلُ مِنْ أَنَاتِكَ
aw ayyu zamānin aṭwalu min anātik
Or what time is longer than Your patience
161
وَمَا قَدْرُ أَعْمَالِنَا فِيْ جَنْبِ نِعَمِكَ
wamā qadru a`mālinā fī janbi ni`amik
And what significance do our deeds have beside Your favors
162
وَكَيْفَ نَسْتَكْثِرُ أَعْمَالًا نُقَابِلُ بِهَا كَرَمَكَ
wakayfa nastakthiru a`mālan nuqābilu bihā karamak
And how can we regard many any deeds with which we meet Your generosity
163
بَلْ كَيْفَ يَضِيقُ عَلَى الْمُذْنِبِينَ مَا وَسِعَهُمْ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ
bal kayfa yaḍīqu `alal mudhnibīna mā wasi`ahum min raḥmatik
Rather, how can Your vast mercy be narrowed for the sinners
164
يَا وَاسِعَ الْمَغْفِرَةِ
yā wāsi`al maghfirah
O Possessor of vast forgiveness
165
يَا بَاسِطَ الْيَدَيْنِ بِالرَّحْمَةِ
yā bāsiṭal yadayni birraḥmah
O One who extends His hands with mercy
166
فَوَعِزَّتِكَ يَا سَيِّدِيْ لَوْ نَهَرْتَنِيْ مَا بَرِحْتُ مِنْ بَابِكَ
fawa`izzatika yā sayyidī law nahar-tanī mā bariḥtu min bābik
By Your might, O Master, if You were to turn me away, I would not leave Your door
167
وَلَا كَفَفْتُ عَنْ تَمَلُّقِكَ
walā kafaftu `an tamalluqik
And I would not cease to praise You
168
لِمَا انْتَهىٰ إِلَيَّ مِنَ الْمَعْرِفَةِ بِجُودِكَ وَكَرَمِكَ
limantahā ilayya minal ma`rifati bijūdika wakaramik
Because of the knowledge that has reached me of Your generosity and bounty
169
وَأَنْتَ الْفَاعِلُ لِمَا تَشَاءُ
wa-antal fā`ilu limā tashā
You are the doer of what You wish
170
تُعَذِّبُ مَنْ تَشَاءُ بِمَا تَشَاءُ كَيْفَ تَشَاءُ
tu`adhhibu man tashā-u bimā tashā-u kayfa tashā
You punish whom You wish, as You wish, how You wish
171
وَتَرْحَمُ مَنْ تَشَاءُ بِمَا تَشَاءُ كَيْفَ تَشَاءُ
watar-ḥamu man tashā-u bimā tashā-u kayfa tashā
And You show mercy to whom You wish, as You wish, how You wish
172
لَا تُسْأَلُ عَنْ فِعْلِكَ
lā tus-alu `an fi`lik
You are not questioned about what You do
173
وَلَا تُنَازَعُ فِيْ مُلْكِكَ
walā tunāza`u fī mulkik
Nor are You contested in Your kingdom
174
وَلَا تُشَارَكُ فِيْ أَمْرِكَ
walā tushāraku fī amrik
Nor are You challenged in Your authority
175
وَلَا تُضَادُّ فِيْ حُكْمِكَ
walā tuḍāddu fī ḥukmik
Nor are You opposed in Your judgment
176
وَلَا يَعْتَرِضُ عَلَيْكَ أَحَدٌ فِيْ تَدْبِيرِكَ
walā ya`tariḍu `alayka aḥadun fī tadbīrik
Nor does anyone object to You in Your management
177
لَكَ الْخَلْقُ وَالْأَمْرُ
lakal khalqu wal-amr
To You belongs creation and command
178
تَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
tabārakallāhu rabbul `ālamīn
Blessed is Allah, Lord of the worlds
179
يَا رَبِّ هٰذَا مَقَامُ مَنْ لاَذَ بِكَ
yā rabbi hādhā maqāmu man lādha bik
O Lord, this is the position of one who sought refuge in You
180
وَاسْتَجَارَ بِكَرَمِكَ
wastajāra bikaramik
And took shelter in Your generosity
181
وَأَلِفَ إِحْسَانَكَ وَنِعَمَكَ
wa-alifa iḥsānaka wani`amak
And became accustomed to Your favor and blessings
182
وَأَنْتَ الْجَوَادُ الَّذِيْ لَايَضِيقُ عَفْوُكَ
wa-antal jawādul ladhī lāyaḍīqu `afwuk
And You are the Generous whose pardon is never constricted
183
وَلَا يَنْقُصُ فَضْلُكَ
walā yanquṣu faḍluk
And whose favor is never diminished
184
وَلَا تَقِلُّ رَحْمَتُكَ
walā taqillu raḥmatuk
And whose mercy is never reduced
185
وَقَدْ تَوَثَّقْنَا مِنْكَ بِالصَّفْحِ الْقَدِيمِ
waqad tawathhaqnā minka biṣṣafḥil qadīm
And we have trusted in Your ancient forgiveness
186
وَالْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ وَالرَّحْمَةِ الْوَاسِعَةِ
walfaḍlil `aẓīmi war raḥmatil wāsi`ah
And Your great favor and vast mercy
187
أَفَتُرَاكَ يَا رَبِّ تُخْلِفُ ظُنُونَنَا
afaturāka yā rabbi tukhlifu ẓunūnanā
Do You think, O Lord, that You would disappoint our expectations
188
أَوْ تُخَيِّبُ آمَالَنَا
aw tukhayyibu-āmālanā
Or dash our hopes
189
كَلَّا يَا كَرِيمُ فَلَيْسَ هٰذَا ظَنُّنَا بِكَ
kallā yā karīmu falaysa hādhā ẓannunā bik
No, O Generous, this is not our opinion of You
190
وَلَا هٰذَا فِيكَ طَمَعُنَا
walā hādhā fīka ṭama`unā
Nor is this what we hope from You
191
يَا رَبِّ إِنَّ لَنَا فِيكَ أَمَلًا طَوِيلًا كَثِيرًا
yā rabbi inna lanā fīka amalan ṭawīlan kathīrā
O Lord, we have in You a great and abundant hope
192
إِنَّ لَنَا فِيكَ رَجَاءً عَظِيمًا
inna lanā fīka rajā-an `aẓīmā
We have in You a mighty hope
193
عَصَيْنَاكَ وَنَحْنُ نَرْجُوْ أَنْ تَسْتُرَ عَلَيْنَا
`aṣaynāka wanaḥnu nar-jū an tastura `alaynā
We disobeyed You while hoping that You would cover our sins
194
وَدَعَوْنَاكَ وَنَحْنُ نَرْجُوْ أَنْ تَسْتَجِيبَ لَنَا
wada`awnāka wanaḥnu nar-jū an tastajība lanā
And we called upon You while hoping that You would answer us
195
فَحَقِّقْ رَجَاءَنَا مَوْلاَنَا
faḥaqqiq rajā-anā mawlānā
So fulfill our hope, our Master
196
فَقَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا نَسْتَوْجِبُ بِأَعْمَالِنَا
faqad `alimnā mā nastawjibu bi-a`mālinā
For we know what we deserve by our deeds
197
وَلٰكِنْ عِلْمُكَ فِينَا وَعِلْمُنَا بِأَنَّكَ لَاتَصْرِفُنَا عَنْكَ
walākin `ilmuka fīnā wa`ilmunā bi-annaka lātaṣrifunā `ank
But Your knowledge of us and our knowledge that You will not turn us away from You
198
حَثَّنَا عَلَى الرَّغْبَةِ إِلَيْكَ
ḥathhanā `alar raghbati ilayk
Has prompted us to desire from You
199
وَإِنْ كُنَّا غَيْرَ مُسْتَوْجِبِينَ لِرَحْمَتِكَ
wa-in kunnā ghayra mustawjibīna liraḥmatik
Even if we are not deserving of Your mercy
200
فَأَنْتَ أَهْلٌ أَنْ تَجُودَ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى الْمُذْنِبِينَ بِفَضْلِ سَعَتِكَ
fa-anta ahlun an tajūda `alaynā wa`alal mudhnibīna bifaḍli sa`atik
You are worthy to bestow upon us and upon all sinners through Your vast grace
201
فَامْنُنْ عَلَيْنَا بِمَا أَنْتَ أَهْلُهُ
famnun `alaynā bimā anta ahluh
So favor us with what You are worthy of
202
وَجُدْ عَلَيْنَا فَإِنَّا مُحْتَاجُونَ إِلٰى نَيْلِكَ
wajud `alaynā fa-innā muḥtājūna ilā naylik
And grant us, for we are in need of Your bounty
203
يَا غَفَّارُ بِنُوْرِكَ اهْتَدَيْنَا
yā ghaffāru binūrikahtadaynā
O Forgiver, by Your light we are guided
204
وَبِفَضْلِكَ اسْتَغْنَيْنَا
wabifaḍlikastaghnaynā
And by Your favor we are enriched
205
وَبِنِعْمَتِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا وَأَمْسَيْنَا
wabini`matika aṣbaḥnā wa-amsaynā
And by Your blessing we begin our mornings and evenings
206
ذُنُوبُنَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ
dhunūbunā bayna yadayk
Our sins are before You
207
نَسْتَغْفِرُكَ اللَّهُمَّ مِنْهَا وَنَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ
nastaghfirukallāhumma minhā wanatūbu ilayk
We ask Your forgiveness, O Allah, from them and repent to You
208
تَتَحَبَّبُ إِلَيْنَا بِالنِّعَمِ وَنُعَارِضُكَ بِالذُّنُوبِ
tataḥabbabu ilaynā binni`ami wanu`āriḍuka bidhhunūb
You endear Yourself to us with blessings while we counter You with sins
209
خَيْرُكَ إِلَيْنَا نَازِلٌ
khayruka ilaynā nāzil
Your good descends upon us
210
وَشَرُّنَا إِلَيْكَ صَاعِدٌ
washarrunā ilayka ṣā`id
While our evil ascends to You
211
وَلَمْ يَزَلْ وَلَا يَزَالُ مَلَكٌ كَرِيمٌ يَأْتِيكَ عَنَّا بِعَمَلٍ قَبِيحٍ
walam yazal walā yazālu malakun karīmun ya-tīka `annā bi`amalin qabīḥ
A noble angel always brings You our ugly deeds
212
فَلَا يَمْنَعُكَ ذٰلِكَ مِنْ أَنْ تَحُوْطَنَا بِنِعَمِكَ
falā yamna`uka dhālika min an taḥūṭanā bini`amik
But that does not prevent You from surrounding us with Your blessings
213
وَتَتَفَضَّلَ عَلَيْنَا بِآلاَئِكَ
watatafaḍḍala `alaynā bi-ālā-ik
And favoring us with Your bounties
214
فَسُبْحَانَكَ مَا أَحْلَمَكَ وَأَعْظَمَكَ
fasubḥānaka mā aḥlamaka wa-a`ẓamak
Glory be to You! How forbearing, how great
215
وَأَكْرَمَكَ مُبْدِئًا وَمُعِيدًا
wa-akramaka mubdi-an wamu`īdā
And how generous You are, as Beginner and Repeater
216
تَقَدَّسَتْ أَسْمَاؤُكَ
taqaddasat asma-uk
Holy are Your names
217
وَجَلَّ ثَنَاؤُكَ
wajalla thana-uk
Exalted is Your praise
218
وَكَرُمَ صَنَائِعُكَ وَفِعَالُكَ
wakaruma ṣanā-i`uka wafi`āluk
And noble are Your works and deeds
219
أَنْتَ إِلٰهِيْ أَوْسَعُ فَضْلًا
anta ilāhī awsa`u faḍlā
You, my God, are too vast in bounty
220
وَأَعْظَمُ حِلْمًا مِنْ أَنْ تُقَايِسَنِيْ بِفِعْلِيْ وَخَطِيئَتِيْ
wa-a`ẓamu ḥilman min an tuqāyisanī bifi`lī wakhaṭī-atī
And too great in forbearance to punish me for my deed and my sin
221
فَالْعَفْوَ الْعَفْوَ الْعَفْوَ
fal`afwal `afwal `afw
So pardon, pardon, pardon
222
سَيِّدِيْ سَيِّدِيْ سَيِّدِيْ
sayyidī sayyidī sayyidī
My Master, my Master, my Master
223
اَللّٰهُمَّ اشْغَلْنَا بِذِكْرِكَ
allāhummashghalnā bidhikrik
O Allah, occupy us with Your remembrance
224
وَأَعِذْنَا مِنْ سَخَطِكَ
wa-a`idhnā min sakhaṭik
And protect us from Your wrath
225
وَأَجِرْنَا مِنْ عَذَابِكَ
wa-ajir-nā min `adhābik
And save us from Your punishment
226
وَارْزُقْنَا مِنْ مَوَاهِبِكَ
war-zuqnā min mawāhibik
And provide for us from Your gifts
227
وَأَنْعِمْ عَلَيْنَا مِنْ فَضْلِكَ
wa-an`im `alaynā min faḍlik
And bestow upon us from Your favor
228
وَارْزُقْنَا حَجَّ بَيْتِكَ
war-zuqnā ḥajja baytik
And grant us the pilgrimage to Your House
229
وَزِيَارَةَ قَبْرِ نَبِيِّكَ
waziyārata qabri nabiyyik
And the visitation to the grave of Your Prophet
230
صَلَوَاتُكَ وَرَحْمَتُكَ
ṣalawātuka waraḥmatuk
May Your blessings and mercy
231
وَمَغْفِرَتُكَ وَرِضْوَانُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَى أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ
wamaghfiratuka wariḍwānuka `alayhi wa`alā ahli baytih
And forgiveness and pleasure be upon him and his household
232
إِنَّكَ قَرِيبٌ مُجِيبٌ
innaka qarībun mujīb
Indeed, You are near, responsive
233
وَارْزُقْنَا عَمَلًا بِطَاعَتِكَ
war-zuqnā `amalan biṭā`atik
And grant us work in Your obedience
234
وَتَوَفَّنَا عَلَى مِلَّتِكَ وَسُنَّةِ نَبِيِّكَ
watawaffanā `alā millatika wasunnati nabiyyik
And take our souls while we are on Your religion and the way of Your Prophet
235
صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَى آلِهِ
ṣallallāhu `alayhi wa`alā-ālih
May Allah bless him and his family
236
اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِيْ وَلِوَالِدَيَّ
allāhummaghfir lī waliwālidayy
O Allah, forgive me and my parents
237
وَارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِيْ صَغِيرًا
war-ḥamhumā kamā rabbayānī ṣaghīrā
And have mercy on them as they raised me when I was small
238
اِجْزِهِمَا بِالْإِحْسَانِ إِحْسَانًا
ijzihimā bil iḥsāni iḥsānā
Reward them for their good with goodness
239
وَبِالسَّيِّئاتِ غُفْرَانًا
wabissayyi-āti ghufrānā
And for their sins with forgiveness
240
اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ
allāhummaghfir lilmu-minīna walmu-mināt
O Allah, forgive the believing men and believing women
241
اَلْأَحْيَاءِ مِنْهُمْ وَالْأَمْوَاتِ
al aḥyā-i minhum wal-amwāt
The living among them and the dead
242
وَتَابِعْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهُمْ بِالْخَيْرَاتِ
watābi` baynanā wabaynahum bil khayrāt
And make harmony between us and them in good deeds
243
اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِحَيِّنَا وَمَيِّتِنَا
allāhummaghfir liḥayyinā wamayyitinā
O Allah, forgive our living and our dead
244
وَشَاهِدِنَا وَغَائِبِنَا
washāhidinā waghā-ibinā
Our present and our absent
245
ذَكَرِنَا وَأُنْثَانَا
dhakarinā wa-unthānā
Our males and our females
246
صَغِيرِنَا وَكَبِيرِنَا
ṣaghīrinā wakabīrinā
Our young and our old
247
حُرِّنَا وَمَمْلُوكِنَا
ḥurrinā wamamlūkinā
Our free and our enslaved
248
كَذَبَ الْعَادِلُونَ بِاللَّهِ
kadhabal `ādilūna billāh
Those who associate partners with Allah have lied
249
وَضَلُّوْا ضَلالًا بَعِيدًا
waḍallū ḍalālan ba`īdā
And have gone far astray
250
وَخَسِرُوْا خُسْرَانًا مُبِينًا
wakhasirū khusrānan mubīnā
And have incurred a manifest loss
251
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
252
وَاخْتِمْ لِيْ بِخَيْرٍ
wakhtim lī bikhayr
And end my life with goodness
253
وَاكْفِنِيْ مَا أَهَمَّنِيْ مِنْ أَمْرِ دُنْيَايَ وَ آخِرَتِيْ
wakfinī mā ahammanī min amri dunyāya wa ākhiratī
And spare me what worries me of the affairs of this world and the hereafter
254
وَلَا تُسَلِّطْ عَلَيَّ مَنْ لَايَرْحَمُنِي
walā tusalliṭ `alayya man lāyar-ḥamunī
And do not give authority over me to one who will not show me mercy
255
وَاجْعَلْ عَلَيَّ مِنْكَ وَاقِيَةً بَاقِيَةً
waj`al `alayya minka wāqiyatan bāqiyah
And place upon me from You an enduring shield
256
وَلَا تَسْلُبْنِيْ صَالِحَ مَا أَنْعَمْتَ بِهِ عَلَيَّ
walā taslubnī ṣāliḥa mā an`amta bihi `alayy
And do not strip from me the good with which You have blessed me
257
وَارْزُقْنِيْ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ رِزْقًا وَاسِعًا حَلالًا طَيِّبًا
war-zuqnī min faḍlika rizqan wāsi`an ḥalālan ṭayyibā
And grant me from Your favor a vast, lawful, and good provision
258
اَللّٰهُمَّ احْرُسْنِيْ بِحَرَاسَتِكَ
allāhummaḥrusnī biḥarāsatik
O Allah, guard me with Your guardianship
259
وَاحْفَظْنِيْ بِحِفْظِكَ
waḥfaẓnī biḥifẓik
And protect me with Your protection
260
وَاكْلَأْنِيْ بِكَلاءَتِكَ
wakla-nī bikalā-atik
And preserve me with Your preservation
261
وَارْزُقْنِيْ حَجَّ بَيْتِكَ الْحَرَامِ
war-zuqnī ḥajja baytikal ḥarām
And grant me the pilgrimage to Your Sacred House
262
فِيْ عَامِنَا هٰذَا وَفِيْ كُلِّ عَامٍ
fī `āminā hādhā wafī kulli `ām
In this year and in every year
263
وَزِيَارَةَ قَبْرِ نَبِيِّكَ وَالْأَئِمَّةِ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلامُ
waziyārata qabri nabiyyika wal-a-immati `alayhimus salām
And the visitation to the grave of Your Prophet and the Imams, peace be upon them
264
وَلَا تُخْلِنِيْ يَا رَبِّ مِنْ تِلْكَ الْمَشَاهِدِ الشَّرِيفَةِ
walā tukhlinī yā rabbi min tilkal mashāhidish sharīfah
And do not deprive me, O Lord, of visiting those noble shrines
265
وَالْمَوَاقِفِ الْكَرِيمَةِ
walmawāqifil karīmah
And honorable places
266
اَللّٰهُمَّ تُبْ عَلَيَّ حَتَّىٰ لَاأَعْصِيَكَ
allāhumma tub `alayya ḥattā lā-a`ṣiyak
O Allah, accept my repentance so that I do not disobey You
267
وَأَلْهِمْنِيْ الْخَيْرَ وَالْعَمَلَ بِهِ
wa-alhimnil khayra wal`amala bih
And inspire me to do good and act upon it
268
وَخَشْيَتَكَ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ مَا أَبْقَيْتَنِي
wakhashyataka billlayli wan nahāri mā abqaytanī
And to fear You by night and day as long as You keep me alive
269
يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
yā rabbal `ālamīn
O Lord of the worlds
270
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي كُلَّمَا قُلْتُ قَدْ تَهَيَّأْتُ وَتَعَبَّأْتُ
allāhumma innī kullamā qultu qad tahayya-tu wata`abba-t
O Allah, whenever I say that I have prepared and made ready
271
وَقُمْتُ لِلصَّلاةِ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ وَنَاجَيْتُكَ
waqumtu liṣṣalāti bayna yadayka wanājaytuk
And stood to pray before You and conversed with You
272
أَلْقَيْتَ عَلَيَّ نُعَاسًا إِذَا أَنَا صَلَّيْتُ
alqayta `alayya nu`āsan idhā ana ṣallayt
You cast upon me drowsiness when I pray
273
وَسَلَبْتَنِيْ مُنَاجَاتَكَ إِذَا أَنَا نَاجَيْتُ
wasalabtanī munājātaka idhā ana nājayt
And You deprive me of conversation with You when I commune with You
274
مَالِيْ كُلَّمَا قُلْتُ قَدْ صَلُحَتْ سَرِيرَتِيْ
mālī kullamā qultu qad ṣaluḥat sarīratī
Why is it that whenever I say my inner thoughts have become righteous
275
وَقَرُبَ مِنْ مَجَالِسِ التَّوَّابِينَ مَجْلِسِي
waqaruba min majālisit tawwābīna majlisī
And my company has drawn near to the company of those who repent
276
عَرَضَتْ لِيْ بَلِيَّةٌ أَزَالَتْ قَدَمِيْ وَحَالَتْ بَيْنِيْ وَبَيْنَ خِدْمَتِكَ
`araḍat lī baliyyatun azālat qadamī waḥālat baynī wabayna khidmatik
A trial comes to me that causes my feet to slip and prevents me from serving You
277
سَيِّدِيْ لَعَلَّكَ عَنْ بَابِكَ طَرَدْتَنِي
sayyidī la`allaka `an bābika ṭaradtanī
My Master, perhaps You have cast me away from Your door
278
وَعَنْ خِدْمَتِكَ نَحَّيْتَنِي
wa`an khidmatika naḥḥaytanī
And removed me from Your service
279
أَوْ لَعَلَّكَ رَأَيْتَنِيْ مُسْتَخِفًّا بِحَقِّكَ فَأَقْصَيْتَنِي
aw la`allaka ra-aytanī mustakhiffan biḥaqqika fa-aqṣaytanī
Or perhaps You saw me belittling Your right, so You distanced me
280
أَوْ لَعَلَّكَ رَأَيْتَنِيْ مُعْرِضًا عَنْكَ فَقَلَيْتَنِي
aw la`allaka ra-aytanī mu`riḍan `anka faqalaytanī
Or perhaps You saw me turning away from You, so You withdrew from me
281
أَوْ لَعَلَّكَ وَجَدْتَنِيْ فِيْ مَقَامِ الْكَاذِبِينَ فَرَفَضْتَنِي
aw la`allaka wajadtanī fī maqāmil kādhibīna farafaḍtanī
Or perhaps You found me in the position of liars, so You rejected me
282
أَوْ لَعَلَّكَ رَأَيْتَنِيْ غَيْرَ شَاكِرٍ لِنَعْمَائِكَ فَحَرَمْتَنِي
aw la`allaka ra-aytanī ghayra shākirin lina`mā-ika faḥaramtanī
Or perhaps You saw me ungrateful for Your blessings, so You deprived me
283
أَوْ لَعَلَّكَ فَقَدْتَنِيْ مِنْ مَجَالِسِ الْعُلَمَاءِ فَخَذَلْتَنِي
aw la`allaka faqadtanī min majālisil `ulamā-i fakhadhaltanī
Or perhaps You found me absent from the gatherings of scholars, so You forsook me
284
أَوْ لَعَلَّكَ رَأَيْتَنِيْ فِيْ الْغَافِلِينَ فَمِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ آيَسْتَنِي
aw la`allaka ra-aytanī fil ghāfilīna famin raḥmatika-āyastanī
Or perhaps You saw me among the heedless, so You despaired me of Your mercy
285
أَوْ لَعَلَّكَ رَأَيْتَنِيْ آلِفَ مَجَالِسِ الْبَطَّالِينَ فَبَيْنِيْ وَبَيْنَهُمْ خَلَّيْتَنِي
aw la`allaka ra-aytanī-ālifa majālisil baṭṭālīna fabaynī wabaynahum khallaytanī
Or perhaps You saw me frequenting the gatherings of the idle, so You abandoned me to them
286
أَوْ لَعَلَّكَ لَمْ تُحِبَّ أَنْ تَسْمَعَ دُعَائِي فَبَاعَدْتَنِي
aw la`allaka lam tuḥibba an tasma`a du`ā-ī fabā`adtanī
Or perhaps You did not like to hear my supplication, so You kept me away
287
أَوْ لَعَلَّكَ بِجُرْمِيْ وَجَرِيرَتِيْ كَافَيْتَنِي
aw la`allaka bijur-mī wajarīratī kāfaytanī
Or perhaps You have punished me for my crime and sin
288
أَوْ لَعَلَّكَ بِقِلَّةِ حَيَائِي مِنْكَ جَازَيْتَنِي
aw la`allaka biqillati ḥayā-ī minka jāzaytanī
Or perhaps You have requited me for my lack of modesty toward You
289
فَإِنْ عَفَوْتَ يَا رَبِّ فَطَالَمَا عَفَوْتَ عَنِ الْمُذْنِبِينَ قَبْلِيْ
fa-in `afawta yā rabbi faṭālamā `afawta `anil mudhnibīna qablī
But if You pardon, O Lord, You have often pardoned sinners before me
290
لِأَنَّ كَرَمَكَ أَىْ رَبِّ يَجِلُّ عَنْ مُكَافَاةِ الْمُقَصِّرِينَ
li-anna karamaka ā rabbi yajillu `an mukāfātil muqaṣṣirīn
For Your generosity, O Lord, is too lofty to repay the inadequate
291
وَأَنَا عَائِذٌ بِفَضْلِكَ هَارِبٌ مِنْكَ إِلَيْكَ
wa-ana `ā-idhun bifaḍlika hāribun minka ilayk
And I seek refuge in Your bounty, fleeing from You to You
292
مُتَنَجِّزٌ مَا وَعَدْتَ مِنَ الصَّفْحِ عَمَّنْ أَحْسَنَ بِكَ ظَنًّا
mutanajjizun mā wa`adta minaṣ ṣafḥi `amman aḥsana bika ẓannā
Expecting the promise of forgiveness which You have granted to one who had good thoughts of You
293
إِلٰهِيْ أَنْتَ أَوْسَعُ فَضْلًا
ilāhī anta awsa`u faḍlā
My God, You are more vast in favor
294
وَأَعْظَمُ حِلْمًا مِنْ أَنْ تُقَايِسَنِيْ بِعَمَلِيْ
wa-a`ẓamu ḥilman min an tuqāyisanī bi`amalī
And greater in forbearance than to rebuke me for my deeds
295
أَوْ أَنْ تَسْتَزِلَّنِيْ بِخَطِيئَتِيْ
aw an tastazillanī bikhaṭī-atī
Or to disgrace me for my sins
296
وَمَا أَنَا يَا سَيِّدِيْ وَمَا خَطَرِيْ
wamā ana yā sayyidī wamā khaṭarī
And what am I, O my Master, and what is my significance?
297
هَبْنِيْ بِفَضْلِكَ سَيِّدِيْ
habnī bifaḍlika sayyidī
Grant me through Your favor, my Master
298
وَتَصَدَّقْ عَلَيَّ بِعَفْوِكَ
wataṣaddaq `alayya bi`afwik
And be charitable to me with Your pardon
299
وَجَلِّلْنِيْ بِسِتْرِكَ
wajallinī bisitrik
And cover me with Your veil
300
وَاعْفُ عَنْ تَوْبِيخِيْ بِكَرَمِ وَجْهِكَ
wa`fu `an tawbīkhī bikarami wajhik
And forgive me my rebuke by the honor of Your face
301
سَيِّدِيْ أَنَا الصَّغِيرُ الَّذِيْ رَبَّيْتَهُ
sayyidī anaṣ ṣaghīrul ladhī rabbaytah
My Master, I am the young whom You have raised
302
وَأَنَا الْجَاهِلُ الَّذِيْ عَلَّمْتَهُ
wa-anal jāhilul ladhī `allamtah
And I am the ignorant whom You have taught
303
وَأَنَا الضَّالُّ الَّذِيْ هَدَيْتَهُ
wa-anaḍ ḍāllul ladhī hadaytah
And I am the misguided whom You have guided
304
وَأَنَا الْوَضِيعُ الَّذِيْ رَفَعْتَهُ
wa-anal waḍī`ul ladhī rafa`tah
And I am the lowly whom You have elevated
305
وَأَنَا الْخَائِفُ الَّذِيْ آمَنْتَهُ
wa-anal khā-iful ladhī-āmantah
And I am the fearful whom You have reassured
306
وَالْجَائِعُ الَّذِيْ أَشْبَعْتَهُ
waljā-i`ul ladhī ashba`tah
And the hungry whom You have fed
307
وَالْعَطْشَانُ الَّذِيْ أَرْوَيْتَهُ
wal`aṭshānul ladhī ar-waytah
And the thirsty whom You have quenched
308
وَالْعَارِيْ الَّذِيْ كَسَوْتَهُ
wal`āril ladhī kasawtah
And the naked whom You have clothed
309
وَالْفَقِيرُ الَّذِيْ أَغْنَيْتَهُ
walfaqīrul ladhī aghnaytah
And the poor whom You have enriched
310
وَالضَّعِيفُ الَّذِيْ قَوَّيْتَهُ
waḍ ḍa`īful ladhī qawwaytah
And the weak whom You have strengthened
311
وَالذَّلِيلُ الَّذِيْ أَعْزَزْتَهُ
wadh dhalīlul ladhī a`zaztah
And the humble whom You have honored
312
وَالسَّقِيمُ الَّذِيْ شَفَيْتَهُ
was saqīmul ladhī shafaytah
And the sick whom You have cured
313
وَالسَّائِلُ الَّذِيْ أَعْطَيْتَهُ
was sā-ilul ladhī a`ṭaytah
And the beggar whom You have given
314
وَالْمُذْنِبُ الَّذِيْ سَتَرْتَهُ
walmudhnibul ladhī satar-tah
And the sinner whose faults You have concealed
315
وَالْخَاطِئُ الَّذِيْ أَقَلْتَهُ
walkhāṭi-ul ladhī aqaltah
And the wrongdoer whom You have excused
316
وَأَنَا الْقَلِيلُ الَّذِيْ كَثَّرْتَهُ
wa-anal qalīlul ladhī kathhar-tah
And I am the little You have made much
317
وَالْمُسْتَضْعَفُ الَّذِيْ نَصَرْتَهُ
walmustaḍ`aful ladhī naṣar-tah
And the oppressed whom You have helped
318
وَأَنَا الطَّرِيدُ الَّذِيْ آوَيْتَهُ
wa-anaṭ ṭarīdul ladhī-āwaytah
And I am the expelled whom You have sheltered
319
أَنَا يَا رَبِّ الَّذِيْ لَمْ أَسْتَحْيِكَ فِيْ الْخَلاءِ
anā yā rabbil ladhī lam astaḥyika fil khalā
I am, O Lord, the one who did not feel shy of You in private
320
وَلَمْ أُرَاقِبْكَ فِيْ الْمَلَاءِ
walam urāqibka fil malā
And did not observe You in public
321
أَنَا صَاحِبُ الدَّوَاهِيْ الْعُظْمىٰ
anā ṣāḥibud dawāhil `uẓmā
I am the possessor of great calamities
322
أَنَا الَّذِيْ عَلَى سَيِّدِهِ اجْتَرَى
anal ladhī `alā sayyidihijtarā
I am the one who dared against his Master
323
أَنَا الَّذِيْ عَصَيْتُ جَبَّارَ السَّمَاءِ
anal ladhī `aṣaytu jabbāras samā
I am the one who disobeyed the Almighty of the heavens
324
أَنَا الَّذِيْ أَعْطَيْتُ عَلَى مَعَاصِيْ الْجَلِيلِ الرُّشَى
anal ladhī a`ṭaytu `alā ma`āṣil jalīlir rushā
I am the one who gave bribes for the sins of the Majestic
325
أَنَا الَّذِيْ حِيْنَ بُشِّرْتُ بِهَا خَرَجْتُ إِلَيْهَا أَسْعَى
anal ladhī ḥīna bushhir-tu bihā kharajtu ilayhā as`ā
I am the one who, when I was given glad tidings of these sins, rushed to them eagerly
326
أَنَا الَّذِيْ أَمْهَلْتَنِيْ فَمَا ارْعَوَيْتُ
anal ladhī amhaltanī famar-`awayt
I am the one whom You gave respite but I did not restrain myself
327
وَسَتَرْتَ عَلَيَّ فَمَا اسْتَحْيَيْتُ
wasatar-ta `alayya famastaḥyayt
And You veiled my sins but I did not feel shy
328
وَعَمِلْتُ بِالْمَعَاصِيْ فَتَعَدَّيْتُ
wa`amiltu bil ma`āṣī fata`addayt
And I committed sins and transgressed
329
وَأَسْقَطْتَنِيْ مِنْ عَيْنِكَ فَمَا بَالَيْتُ
wa-asqaṭtanī min `aynika famā bālayt
And You let me fall from Your regard but I did not care
330
فَبِحِلْمِكَ أَمْهَلْتَنِي
fabiḥilmika amhaltanī
By Your forbearance You gave me respite
331
وَبِسِتْرِكَ سَتَرْتَنِيْ حَتَّىٰ كَأَنَّكَ أَغْفَلْتَنِي
wabisitrika satar-tanī ḥattā ka-annaka aghfaltanī
And with Your veil You covered me until it was as if You had overlooked me
332
وَمِنْ عُقُوبَاتِ الْمَعَاصِيْ جَنَّبْتَنِيْ حَتَّىٰ كَأَنَّكَ اسْتَحْيَيْتَنِي
wamin `uqūbātil ma`āṣī jannabtanī ḥattā ka-annakastaḥyaytanī
And You spared me the punishments for sins until it was as if You were shy of me
333
إِلٰهِيْ لَمْ أَعْصِكَ حِيْنَ عَصَيْتُكَ وَأَنَا بِرُبُوبِيَّتِكَ جَاحِدٌ
ilāhī lam a`ṣika ḥīna `aṣaytuka wa-ana birubūbiyyatika jāḥid
My God, I did not disobey You when I disobeyed You while denying Your Lordship
334
وَلَا بِأَمْرِكَ مُسْتَخِفٌّ
walā bi-amrika mustakhiff
Nor belittling Your command
335
وَلَا لِعُقُوبَتِكَ مُتَعَرِّضٌ
walā li`uqūbatika muta`arriḍ
Nor exposing myself to Your punishment
336
وَلَا لِوَعِيدِكَ مُتَهَاوِنٌ
walā liwa`īdika mutahāwin
Nor disregarding Your threat
337
لَكِنْ خَطِيئَةٌ عَرَضَتْ وَسَوَّلَتْ لِيْ نَفْسِي
lakin khaṭī-atun `araḍat wasawwalat lī nafsī
But a sin presented itself, and my self tempted me
338
وَغَلَبَنِيْ هَوَايَ
waghalabanī hawāy
And my desires overcame me
339
وَأَعَانَنِيْ عَلَيْهَا شِقْوَتِيْ
wa-a`ānanī `alayhā shiqwatī
And my misfortune helped me to it
340
وَغَرَّنِيْ سِتْرُكَ الْمُرْخىٰ عَلَيَّ
wagharranī sitrukal mur-khā `alayy
And Your veil drawn over me deceived me
341
فَقَدْ عَصَيْتُكَ وَخَالَفْتُكَ بِجُهْدِيْ
faqad `aṣaytuka wakhālaftuka bijuhdī
So I disobeyed You and opposed You with my full effort
342
فَالْآنَ مِنْ عَذَابِكَ مَنْ يَسْتَنْقِذُنِي
fal-āna min `adhābika man yastanqidhunī
So now, who can save me from Your punishment
343
وَمِنْ أَيْدِيْ الْخُصَمَاءِ غَدًا مَنْ يُخَلِّصُنِي
wamin aydil khuṣamā-i ghadan man yukhalliṣunī
And who can rescue me from the hands of my adversaries tomorrow
344
وَبِحَبْلِ مَنْ أَتَّصِلُ إِنْ أَنْتَ قَطَعْتَ حَبْلَكَ عَنِّي
wabiḥabli man attaṣilu in anta qaṭa`ta ḥablaka `annī
And to whose rope shall I cling if You cut Your rope from me
345
فَوَا سَوْأَتَا عَلَى مَا فَوَاأَحْصٰى كِتَابُكَ مِنْ عَمَلِيْ
fawā saw-atā `alā mā fawā-aḥṣā kitābuka min `amalī
Oh, how I will regret what Your book has enumerated of my deeds
346
اَلَّذِيْ لَوْلَا مَا أَرْجُوْ مِنْ كَرَمِكَ وَسَعَةِ رَحْمَتِكَ
al ladhī lawlā mā ar-jū min karamika wasa`ati raḥmatik
For if not for what I hope from Your generosity and vast mercy
347
وَنَهْيِكَ إِيَّايَ عَنِ الْقُنُوطِ لَقَنَطْتُ عِنْدَمَا أَتَذَكَّرُهَا
wanahyika iyyāya `anil qunūṭi laqanaṭtu `indamā atadhakkaruhā
And Your prohibition against despair, I would have despaired when I remember them
348
يَا خَيْرَ مَنْ دَعَاهُ دَاعٍ
yā khayra man da`āhu dā`
O Best of those whom a caller has called
349
وَأَفْضَلَ مَنْ رَجَاهُ رَاجٍ
wa-afḍala man rajāhu rāj
And Best of those in whom a hoper has placed hope
350
اَللّٰهُمَّ بِذِمَّةِ الْإِسْلاَمِ أَتَوَسَّلُ إِلَيْكَ
allāhumma bidhimmatil islāmi atawassalu ilayk
O Allah, by the covenant of Islam I beseech You
351
وَبِحُرْمَةِ الْقُرْآنِ أَعْتَمِدُ عَلَيْكَ
wabiḥur-matil qur-āni a`tamidu `alayk
And by the sanctity of the Quran I rely on You
352
وَبِحُبِّي النَّبِيِّ الْأُمِّيِّ
wabiḥubbin nabiyyil ummiyy
And by my love for the unlettered Prophet
353
اَلْقُرَشِيِّ الْهَاشِمِيِّ
al qurashiyyil hāshimiyy
The Qurayshi, the Hashimi
354
اَلْعَرَبِيِّ التِّهَامِيِّ
al `arabiyyit tihāmiyy
The Arab, the Tihamian
355
اَلْمَكِّيَّ الْمَدَنِيِّ
al makkiyyal madaniyy
The Meccan, the Medinan
356
أَرْجُوْ الزُّلْفَةَ لَدَيْكَ
ar-juz zulfata ladayk
I hope for nearness to You
357
فَلَا تُوحِشِ اسْتِينَاسَ إِيمَانِي
falā tūḥishistīnāsa īmānī
So do not make desolate the familiarity of my faith
358
وَلَا تَجْعَلْ ثَوَابِىْ ثَوَابَ مَنْ عَبَدَ سِوَاكَ
walā taj`al thawābī thawāba man `abada siwāk
And do not make my reward the reward of one who worshiped other than You
359
فَإِنَّ قَوْمًا آمَنُوْا بِأَلْسِنَتِهِمْ لِيَحْقِنُوْا بِهِ دِمَاءَهُمْ
fa-inna qawman-āmanū bi-alsinatihim liyaḥqinū bihi dimā-ahum
For there are people who believed with their tongues to save their blood
360
فَأَدْرَكُوْا مَا أَمَّلُوْا
fa-adrakū mā ammalū
And they attained what they hoped for
361
وَإِنَّا آمَنَّا بِكَ بِأَلْسِنَتِنَا وَقُلُوبِنَا لِتَعْفُوَ عَنَّا
wa-innā-āmannā bika bi-alsinatinā waqulūbinā lita`fuwa `annā
And we have believed in You with our tongues and hearts so that You may pardon us
362
فَأَدْرِكْنَا مَا أَمَّلْنَا
fa-adriknā mā ammalnā
So let us attain what we hope for
363
وَثَبِّتْ رَجَاءَكَ فِيْ صُدُورِنَا
wathabbit rajā-aka fī ṣudūrinā
And establish our hope in You in our breasts
364
وَلَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا
walā tuzigh qulūbanā ba`da idh hadaytanā
And do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us
365
وَهَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً
wahab lanā min ladunka raḥmah
And grant us from You mercy
366
إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ
innaka antal wahhāb
Indeed, You are the Bestower
367
فَوَعِزَّتِكَ لَوِ انْتَهَرْتَنِيْ مَا بَرِحْتُ مِنْ بَابِكَ
fawa`izzatika lawintahar-tanī mā bariḥtu min bābik
By Your might, if You were to rebuke me, I would not leave Your door
368
وَلَا كَفَفْتُ عَنْ تَمَلُّقِكَ
walā kafaftu `an tamalluqik
And I would not cease flattering You
369
لِمَا أُلْهِمَ قَلْبِىْ مِنَ الْمَعْرِفَةِ بِكَرَمِكَ وَسَعَةِ رَحْمَتِكَ
limā ulhima qalbī minal ma`rifati bikaramika wasa`ati raḥmatik
Because of what my heart has been inspired with of knowledge of Your generosity and vast mercy
370
إِلٰى مَنْ يَذْهَبُ الْعَبْدُ إِلَّا إِلٰى مَوْلاَهُ
ilā man yadh-habul `abdu illā ilā mawlāh
To whom can a servant go except to his Master
371
وَإِلٰى مَنْ يَلْتَجِئُ الْمَخْلُوقُ إِلَّا إِلٰى خَالِقِهِ
wa-ilā man yaltaji-ul makhlūqu illā ilā khāliqih
And to whom can a created being seek refuge except to its Creator
372
إِلٰهِيْ لَوْ قَرَنْتَنِيْ بِالْأَصْفَادِ
ilāhī law qarantanī bil aṣfād
My God, if You were to chain me in shackles
373
وَمَنَعْتَنِيْ سَيْبَكَ مِنْ بَيْنِ الْأَشْهَادِ
wamana`tanī saybaka min baynil ash-hād
And deprive me of Your flowing favor before the witnesses
374
وَدَلَلْتَ عَلَى فَضَائِحِيْ عُيُونَ الْعِبَادِ
wadalalta `alā faḍā-iḥī `uyūnal `ibād
And indicate my scandals to the eyes of the servants
375
وَأَمَرْتَ بِىْ إِلَى النَّارِ
wa-amar-ta bī ilan nār
And command me to the Fire
376
وَحُلْتَ بَيْنِيْ وَبَيْنَ الْأَبْرَارِ
waḥulta baynī wabaynal abrār
And separate me from the righteous
377
مَا قَطَعْتُ رَجَائِي مِنْكَ
mā qaṭa`tu rajā-ī mink
I would not cut off my hope in You
378
وَمَا صَرَفْتُ تَأْمِيلِيْ لِلْعَفْوِ عَنْكَ
wamā ṣaraftu ta-mīlī lil`afwi `ank
And I would not despair of Your pardon
379
وَلَا خَرَجَ حُبُّكَ مِنْ قَلْبِيْ
walā kharaja ḥubbuka min qalbī
And love for You would not leave my heart
380
أَنَا لَا أَنْسٰى أَيَادِيَكَ عِنْدِيْ
anā lā ansā ayādiyaka `indī
I do not forget Your favors to me
381
وَسِتْرَكَ عَلَيَّ فِيْ دَارِ الدُّنْيَا
wasitraka `alayya fī dārid dunyā
And Your concealment of me in the worldly abode
382
سَيِّدِيْ أَخْرِجْ حُبَّ الدُّنْيَا مِنْ قَلْبِيْ
sayyidī akhrij ḥubbad dunyā min qalbī
My Master, remove the love of this world from my heart
383
وَاجْمَعْ بَيْنِيْ وَبَيْنَ الْمُصْطَفَى وَ آلِهِ
wajma` baynī wabaynal muṣṭafā wa ālih
And gather me with the Chosen One and his family
384
خِيَرَتِكَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ وَخَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّينَ
khiyaratika min khalqika wakhātamin nabiyyīn
The best of Your creation and the Seal of the Prophets
385
مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَى آلِهِ
muḥammadin ṣallallāhu `alayhi wa`alā-ālih
Muhammad, may Allah bless him and his family
386
وَانْقُلْنِيْ إِلٰى دَرَجَةِ التَّوْبَةِ إِلَيْكَ
wanqulnī ilā darajatit tawbati ilayk
And transfer me to the rank of repentance to You
387
وَأَعِنِّي بِالْبُكَاءِ عَلَى نَفْسِيْ فَقَدْ أَفْنَيْتُ عُمْرِيْ
wa-a`innī bil bukā-i `alā nafsī faqad afnaytu `umrī
And help me to weep for myself, for I have wasted my life
388
وَقَدْ نَزَلْتُ مَنْزِلَةَ الْآيِسِينَ مِنْ خَيْرِيْ
waqad nazaltu manzilatal-āyisīna min khayrī
And I have reached the state of those who despair of any good from me
389
فَمَنْ يَكُونُ أَسْوَأَ حَالًا مِنِّي
faman yakūnu aswa-a ḥālan minnī
So who can be in a worse state than me
390
إِنْ أَنَا نُقِلْتُ عَلَى مِثْلِ حَالِيْ
in ana nuqiltu `alā mithli ḥālī
If I am transferred in my present condition
391
إِلٰى قَبْرٍ لَمْ أُمَهِّدْهُ لِرَقْدَتِيْ
ilā qabrin lam umahhid-hu liraqdatī
To a grave that I have not prepared for my rest
392
وَلَمْ أَفْرُشْهُ بِالْعَمَلِ الصَّالِحِ لِضَجْعَتِيْ
walam afrush-hu bil `amaliṣ ṣāliḥi liḍaj`atī
And have not furnished with righteous deeds for my repose
393
وَمَا لِيْ لَاأَبْكِيْ
wamā lī lā-abkī
And why should I not weep
394
وَلَا أَدْرِيْ إِلٰى مَا يَكُونُ مَصِيرِيْ
walā adrī ilā mā yakūnu maṣīrī
When I do not know what my end will be
395
وَأَرىٰ نَفْسِيْ تُخَادِعُنِي
wa-arā nafsī tukhādi`unī
And I see that my self deceives me
396
وَأَيَّامِيْ تُخَاتِلُنِي
wa-ayyāmī tukhātilunī
And my days deceive me
397
وَقَدْ خَفَقَتْ عِنْدَ رَأْسِيْ أَجْنِحَةُ الْمَوْتِ
waqad khafaqat `inda ra-sī ajniḥatul mawt
And the wings of death have fluttered near my head
398
فَمَا لِيْ لَاأَبْكِيْ
famā lī lā-abkī
So why should I not weep
399
أَبْكِيْ لِخُرُوجِ نَفْسِي
abkī likhurūji nafsī
I weep for the departure of my soul
400
أَبْكِيْ لِظُلْمَةِ قَبْرِيْ
abkī liẓulmati qabrī
I weep for the darkness of my grave
401
أَبْكِيْ لِضِيقِ لَحْدِيْ
abkī liḍīqi laḥdī
I weep for the narrowness of my tomb
402
أَبْكِيْ لِسُؤالِ مُنْكَرٍ وَنَكِيرٍ إِيَّايَ
abkī lisu-ali munkarin wanakīrin iyyāy
I weep for the questioning of Munkar and Nakir of me
403
أَبْكِيْ لِخُرُوجِيْ مِنْ قَبْرِيْ عُرْيَانًا ذَلِيْلًا
abkī likhurūjī min qabrī `ur-yānan dhalīlā
I weep for my emergence from my grave naked and humiliated
404
حَامِلًا ثِقْلِيْ عَلَى ظَهْرِيْ
ḥāmilan thiqlī `alā ẓahrī
Carrying my burden upon my back
405
أَنْظُرُ مَرَّةً عَنْ يَمِينِيْ وَأُخْرىٰ عَنْ شِمَالِيْ
anẓuru marratan `an yamīnī wa-ukhrā `an shimālī
Looking once to my right and once to my left
406
إِذِ الْخَلائِقُ فِيْ شَأْنٍ غَيْرِ شَأْنِي
idhil khalā-iqu fī sha-nin ghayri sha-nī
When the creatures will be in a state other than my state
407
لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مِنْهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ شَأْنٌ يُغْنِيهِ
likullimri-in minhum yawma-idhin sha-nun yughnīh
"Every person that Day will have a concern that suffices him"
408
وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُسْفِرَةٌ ضَاحِكَةٌ مُسْتَبْشِرَةٌ
wujūhun yawma-idhin musfiratun ḍāḥikatun mustabshirah
"Faces on that Day will be bright, laughing, rejoicing"
409
وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَلَيْهَا غَبَرَةٌ تَرْهَقُهَا قَتَرَةٌ وَذِلَّةٌ
wawujūhun yawma-idhin `alayhā ghabaratun tar-haquhā qataratun wadhillah
"And faces on that Day will have dust upon them, covered with darkness and humiliation"
410
سَيِّدِيْ عَلَيْكَ مُعَوَّلِيْ وَمُعْتَمَدِيْ
sayyidī `alayka mu`awwalī wamu`tamadī
My Master, upon You is my reliance and my trust
411
وَرَجَائِي وَتَوَكُّلِيْ
warajā-ī watawakkulī
And my hope and my dependence
412
وَبِرَحْمَتِكَ تَعَلُّقِيْ
wabiraḥmatika ta`alluqī
And to Your mercy is my clinging
413
تُصِيبُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ مَنْ تَشَاءُ
tuṣību biraḥmatika man tashā
You bestow with Your mercy upon whom You will
414
وَتَهْدِيْ بِكَرَامَتِكَ مَنْ تُحِبُّ
watahdī bikarāmatika man tuḥibb
And You guide with Your generosity whom You love
415
فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلَى مَا نَقَّيْتَ مِنَ الشِّرْكِ قَلْبِيْ
falakal ḥamdu `alā mā naqqayta minash shir-ki qalbī
So praise be to You for having purified my heart from polytheism
416
وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلَى بَسْطِ لِسَانِي
walakal ḥamdu `alā basṭi lisānī
And praise be to You for having loosened my tongue
417
أَفَبِلِسَانِيْ هٰذَا الْكَالِّ أَشْكُرُكَ
afabilisānī hādhal kālli ashkuruk
Is it with this dull tongue that I should thank You
418
أَمْ بِغَايَةِ جُهْدِيْ فِيْ عَمَلِيْ أُرْضِيكَ
am bighāyati juhdī fī `amalī ur-ḍīk
Or with the utmost effort in my deeds that I should please You
419
وَمَا قَدْرُ لِسَانِيْ يَا رَبِّ فِيْ جَنْبِ شُكْرِكَ
wamā qadru lisānī yā rabbi fī janbi shukrik
And what is the value of my tongue, O Lord, alongside Your gratitude
420
وَمَا قَدْرُ عَمَلِيْ فِيْ جَنْبِ نِعَمِكَ وَإِحْسَانِكَ
wamā qadru `amalī fī janbi ni`amika wa-iḥsānik
And what is the value of my deeds alongside Your favors and goodness
421
إِلٰهِيْ إِنَّ جُودَكَ بَسَطَ أَمَلِيْ
ilāhī inna jūdaka basaṭa amalī
My God, Your generosity has expanded my hope
422
وَشُكْرَكَ قَبِلَ عَمَلِيْ
washukraka qabila `amalī
And Your acceptance has led to the acceptance of my deeds
423
سَيِّدِيْ إِلَيْكَ رَغْبَتِيْ
sayyidī ilayka raghbatī
My Master, to You is my desire
424
وَإِلَيْكَ رَهْبَتِيْ
wa-ilayka rahbatī
And to You is my fear
425
وَإِلَيْكَ تَأْمِيلِيْ
wa-ilayka ta-mīlī
And to You is my aspiration
426
وَقَدْ سَاقَنِيْ إِلَيْكَ أَمَلِيْ
waqad sāqanī ilayka amalī
And my hope has driven me to You
427
وَعَلَيْكَ يَا وَاحِدِيْ عَكَفَتْ هِمَّتِيْ
wa`alayka yā wāḥidī `akafat himmatī
And upon You, O my Only One, has my determination focused
428
وَفِيمَا عِنْدَكَ انْبَسَطَتْ رَغْبَتِيْ
wafīmā `indakanbasaṭat raghbatī
And toward what is with You has my desire expanded
429
وَلَكَ خَالِصُ رَجَائِي وَخَوْفِيْ
walaka khāliṣu rajā-ī wakhawfī
And for You is the purity of my hope and fear
430
وَبِكَ أَنِسَتْ مَحَبَّتِيْ
wabika anisat maḥabbatī
And with You my love has found comfort
431
وَإِلَيْكَ أَلْقَيْتُ بِيَدِيْ
wa-ilayka alqaytu biyadī
And to You I have extended my hand
432
وَبِحَبْلِ طَاعَتِكَ مَدَدْتُ رَهْبَتِيْ
wabiḥabli ṭā`atika madadtu rahbatī
And with the rope of Your obedience I have extended my fear
433
يَا مَوْلاَيَ بِذِكْرِكَ عَاشَ قَلْبِيْ
yā mawlāya bidhikrika `āsha qalbī
O my Master, through Your remembrance my heart has lived
434
وَبِمُنَاجَاتِكَ بَرَّدْتُ أَلَمَ الْخَوْفِ عَنِّي
wabimunājātika barradtu alamal khawfi `annī
And through conversing with You I have cooled the pain of my fear
435
فَيَا مَوْلاَيَ وَيَا مُؤَمَّلِيْ وَيَا مُنْتَهىٰ سُؤْلِيْ
fayā mawlāya wayā mu-ammalī wayā muntahā su-lī
So, O my Master, O my Hope, O my Ultimate Goal
436
فَرِّقْ بَيْنِيْ وَبَيْنَ ذَنْبِيَ الْمَانِعِ لِيْ مِنْ لُزُومِ طَاعَتِكَ
farriq baynī wabayna dhanbiyal māni`i lī min luzūmi ṭā`atik
Separate me from my sin that prevents me from adhering to Your obedience
437
فَإِنَّمَا أَسْأَلُكَ لِقَدِيمِ الرَّجَاءِ فِيكَ
fa-innamā as-aluka liqadīmir rajā-i fīk
For I ask You because of my ancient hope in You
438
وَعَظِيمِ الطَّمَعِ مِنْكَ
wa`aẓīmiṭ ṭama`i mink
And Your great kindness
439
اَلَّذِيْ أَوْجَبْتَهُ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ مِنَ الرَّأْفَةِ وَالرَّحْمَةِ
al ladhī awjabtahu `alā nafsika minar ra-fati war raḥmah
That You have made obligatory upon Yourself of compassion and mercy
440
فَالْأَمْرُ لَكَ وَحْدَكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ
fal-amru laka waḥdaka lā sharīka lak
For the command belongs to You alone, without any partner
441
وَالْخَلْقُ كُلُّهُمْ عِيَالُكَ وَفِيْ قَبْضَتِكَ
walkhalqu kulluhum `iyāluka wafī qabḍatik
And all creation is Your dependents and in Your grasp
442
وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ خَاضِعٌ لَكَ
wakullu shay-in khāḍi`un lak
And everything is submissive to You
443
تَبَارَكْتَ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
tabārakta yā rabbal `ālamīn
Blessed are You, O Lord of the worlds
444
إِلٰهِيْ إِرْحَمْنِيْ إِذَا انْقَطَعَتْ حُجَّتِيْ
ilāhī ir-ḥamnī idhanqaṭa`at ḥujjatī
My God, have mercy on me when my argument is cut off
445
وَكَلَّ عَنْ جَوَابِكَ لِسَانِي
wakalla `an jawābika lisānī
And my tongue fails to answer You
446
وَطَاشَ عِنْدَ سُؤالِكَ إِيَّايَ لُبِّي
waṭāsha `inda su-alika iyyāya lubbī
And my mind is bewildered at Your questioning
447
فَيَا عَظِيمَ رَجَائِي لَاتُخَيِّبْنِيْ إِذَا اشْتَدَّتْ فَاقَتِيْ
fayā `aẓīma rajā-ī lātukhayyibnī idhashtaddat fāqatī
O Great One of my hope, do not disappoint me when my poverty is severe
448
وَلَا تَرُدَّنِيْ لِجَهْلِيْ
walā taruddanī lijahlī
And do not reject me for my ignorance
449
وَلَا تَمْنَعْنِيْ لِقِلَّةِ صَبْرِيْ
walā tamna`nī liqillati ṣabrī
And do not prevent me for my lack of patience
450
أَعْطِنِيْ لِفَقْرِيْ
a`ṭinī lifaqrī
Grant me for my poverty
451
وَارْحَمْنِيْ لِضَعْفِيْ
war-ḥamnī liḍa`fī
And have mercy on me for my weakness
452
سَيِّدِيْ عَلَيْكَ مُعْتَمَدِيْ وَمُعَوَّلِيْ
sayyidī `alayka mu`tamadī wamu`awwalī
My Master, upon You is my dependence and reliance
453
وَرَجَائِي وَتَوَكُّلِيْ
warajā-ī watawakkulī
And my hope and trust
454
وَبِرَحْمَتِكَ تَعَلُّقِيْ
wabiraḥmatika ta`alluqī
And to Your mercy is my clinging
455
وَبِفِنَائِكَ أَحُطُّ رَحْلِيْ
wabifinā-ika aḥuṭṭu raḥlī
And in Your courtyard I set down my baggage
456
وَبِجُودِكَ أَقْصِدُ طَلِبَتِيْ
wabijūdika aqṣidu ṭalibatī
And with Your generosity I direct my request
457
وَبِكَرَمِكَ أَيْ رَبِّ أَسْتَفْتِحُ دُعَائِي
wabikaramika ay rabbi astaftiḥu du`ā-ī
And with Your generosity, O Lord, I begin my supplication
458
وَلَدَيْكَ أَرْجُوْ فَاقَتِيْ
waladayka ar-jū fāqatī
And with You I hope to relieve my poverty
459
وَبِغِنَاكَ أَجْبُرُ عَيْلَتِيْ
wabighināka ajburu `aylatī
And with Your wealth I repair my destitution
460
وَتَحْتَ ظِلِّ عَفْوِكَ قِيَامِيْ
wataḥta ẓilli `afwika qiyāmī
And under the shadow of Your pardon is my standing
461
وَإِلٰى جُودِكَ وَكَرَمِكَ أَرْفَعُ بَصَرِيْ
wa-ilā jūdika wakaramika ar-fa`u baṣarī
And to Your generosity and munificence I raise my sight
462
وَإِلٰى مَعْرُوفِكَ أُدِيمُ نَظَرِيْ
wa-ilā ma`rūfika udīmu naẓarī
And toward Your favor I direct my gaze
463
فَلَا تُحْرِقْنِيْ بِالنَّارِ وَأَنْتَ مَوْضِعُ أَمَلِيْ
falā tuḥriqnī binnāri wa-anta mawḍi`u amalī
So do not burn me in the Fire when You are the object of my hope
464
وَلَا تُسْكِنِّي الْهَاوِيَةَ فَإِنَّكَ قُرَّةُ عَيْنِي
walā tuskinnil hāwiyata fa-innaka qurratu `aynī
And do not make me dwell in the abyss, for You are the comfort of my eye
465
يَا سَيِّدِيْ لَاتُكَذِّبْ ظَنِّي بِإِحْسَانِكَ وَمَعْرُوفِكَ
yā sayyidī lātukadhhib ẓannī bi-iḥsānika wama`rūfik
O my Master, do not belie my opinion of Your goodness and favor
466
فَإِنَّكَ ثِقَتِيْ
fa-innaka thiqatī
For You are my trust
467
وَلَا تَحْرِمْنِيْ ثَوَابَكَ
walā taḥrimnī thawābak
And do not deprive me of Your reward
468
فَإِنَّكَ الْعَارِفُ بِفَقْرِيْ
fa-innakal `ārifu bifaqrī
For You are the Knower of my poverty
469
إِلٰهِيْ إِنْ كَانَ قَدْ دَنَا أَجَلِيْ وَلَمْ يُقَرِّبْنِيْ مِنْكَ عَمَلِيْ
ilāhī in kāna qad danā ajalī walam yuqarribnī minka `amalī
My God, if my death is near and my deeds have not brought me near to You
470
فَقَدْ جَعَلْتُ الْإِعْتِرَافَ إِلَيْكَ بِذَنْبِىْ وَسَائِلَ عِلَلِيْ
faqad ja`altul i`tirāfa ilayka bidhanbī wasā-ila `ilalī
Then I have made the confession of my sins to You a means of excuse
471
إِلٰهِيْ إِنْ عَفَوْتَ فَمَنْ أَوْلىٰ مِنْكَ بِالْعَفْوِ
ilāhī in `afawta faman awlā minka bil `afw
My God, if You forgive, then who is more worthy of forgiveness than You
472
وَإِنْ عَذَّبْتَ فَمَنْ أَعْدَلُ مِنْكَ فِيْ الْحُكْمِ
wa-in `adhhabta faman a`dalu minka fil ḥukm
And if You punish, then who is more just than You in judgment
473
اِرْحَمْ فِيْ هٰذِهِ الدُّنْيَا غُرْبَتِيْ
ir-ḥam fī hādhihid dunyā ghur-batī
Have mercy on my estrangement in this world
474
وَعِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ كُرْبَتِيْ
wa`indal mawti kur-batī
And on my distress at death
475
وَفِيْ الْقَبْرِ وَحْدَتِيْ
wafil qabri waḥdatī
And on my loneliness in the grave
476
وَفِيْ اللَّحْدِ وَحْشَتِيْ
wafil laḥdi waḥshatī
And on my solitude in the tomb
477
وَإِذَا نُشِرْتُ لِلْحِسَابِ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ ذُلَّ مَوْقِفِيْ
wa-idhā nushir-tu lilḥisābi bayna yadayka dhulla mawqifī
And when I am raised for reckoning before You, the humiliation of my position
478
وَاغْفِرْ لِيْ مَا خَفِيَ عَلَى الْآدَمِيِّينَ مِنْ عَمَلِيْ
waghfir lī mā khafiya `alal-ādamiyyīna min `amalī
And forgive me for what is hidden from people of my deeds
479
وَأَدِمْ لِيْ مَا بِهِ سَتَرْتَنِي
wa-adim lī mā bihi satar-tanī
And prolong for me that by which You have concealed me
480
وَارْحَمْنِيْ صَرِيعًا عَلَى الْفِرَاشِ تُقَلِّبُنِيْ أَيْدِيْ أَحِبَّتِيْ
war-ḥamnī ṣarī`an `alal firāshi tuqallibunī aydī aḥibbatī
And have mercy on me lying prostrate on my bed with the hands of my loved ones turning me
481
وَتَفَضَّلْ عَلَيَّ مَمْدُودًا عَلَى الْمُغْتَسَلِ يُقَلِّبُنِيْ صَالِحُ جِيرَتِيْ
watafaḍḍal `alayya mamdūdan `alal mughtasali yuqallibunī ṣāliḥu jīratī
And be gracious to me stretched out on the washing table with the hands of my righteous neighbors turning me
482
وَتَحَنَّنْ عَلَيَّ مَحْمُولًا قَدْ تَنَاوَلَ الْأَقْرِبَاءُ أَطْرَافَ جِنَازَتِيْ
wataḥannan `alayya maḥmūlan qad tanāwalal aqribā-u aṭrāfa jināzatī
And be kind to me when carried while my relatives have taken the edges of my bier
483
وَجُدْ عَلَيَّ مَنْقُولًا قَدْ نَزَلْتُ بِكَ وَحِيدًا فِيْ حُفْرَتِيْ
wajud `alayya manqūlan qad nazaltu bika waḥīdan fī ḥufratī
And be generous to me when transported and I have descended to You alone in my pit
484
وَارْحَمْ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ الْبَيْتِ الْجَدِيْدِ غُرْبَتِيْ حَتَّىٰ لَاأَسْتَأْنِسَ بِغَيْرِكَ
war-ḥam fī dhālikal baytil jadīdi ghur-batī ḥattā lā-asta-nisa bighayrik
And have mercy in that new house on my estrangement until I find comfort in none but You
485
يَا سَيِّدِيْ إِنْ وَكَلْتَنِيْ إِلٰى نَفْسِيْ هَلَكْتُ
yā sayyidī in wakaltanī ilā nafsī halakt
My Master, if You entrust me to myself, I will perish
486
سَيِّدِيْ فَبِمَنْ أَسْتَغِيثُ إِنْ لَمْ تُقِلْنِيْ عَثْرَتِيْ
sayyidī fabiman astaghīthu in lam tuqilnī `athratī
My Master, to whom shall I appeal if You do not overlook my slip
487
فَإِلٰى مَنْ أَفْزَعُ إِنْ فَقَدْتُ عِنَايَتَكَ فِيْ ضَجْعَتِيْ
fa-ilā man afza`u in faqadtu `ināyataka fī ḍaj`atī
To whom shall I flee if I lose Your care in my resting place
488
وَإِلٰى مَنْ أَلْتَجِئُ إِنْ لَمْ تُنَفِّسْ كُرْبَتِيْ
wa-ilā man altaji-u in lam tunaffis kur-batī
And to whom shall I turn if You do not relieve my distress
489
سَيِّدِيْ مَنْ لِيْ
sayyidī man lī
My Master, who is for me
490
وَمَنْ يَرْحَمُنِيْ إِنْ لَمْ تَرْحَمْنِي
waman yar-ḥamunī in lam tar-ḥamnī
And who will have mercy on me if You do not have mercy on me
491
وَفَضْلَ مَنْ أُؤَمِّلُ إِنْ عَدِمْتُ فَضْلَكَ يَوْمَ فَاقَتِيْ
wafaḍla man u-ammilu in `adimtu faḍlaka yawma fāqatī
And whose favor can I hope for if I lose Your favor on the day of my need
492
وَإِلٰى مَنِ الْفِرَارُ مِنَ الذُّنُوبِ إِذَا انْقَضىٰ أَجَلِيْ
wa-ilā manil firāru minadh dhunūbi idhanqaḍā ajalī
And to whom shall I flee from sins when my term is complete
493
سَيِّدِيْ لَاتُعَذِّبْنِيْ وَأَنَا أَرْجُوكَ
sayyidī lātu`adhhibnī wa-ana ar-jūk
My Master, do not punish me while I hope in You
494
إِلٰهِيْ حَقِّقْ رَجَائِي
ilāhī ḥaqqiq rajā-ī
My God, fulfill my hope
495
وَ آمِنْ خَوْفِيْ
wa āmin khawfī
And secure me from my fear
496
فَإِنَّ كَثْرَةَ ذُنُوبِىْ لَاأَرْجُوْ فِيهَا إِلَّا عَفْوَكَ
fa-inna kathrata dhunūbī lā-ar-jū fīhā illā `afwak
For the abundance of my sins leaves me hoping only in Your pardon
497
سَيِّدِيْ أَنَا أَسْأَلُكَ مَا لَاأَسْتَحِقُّ
sayyidī ana as-aluka mā lā-astaḥiqq
My Master, I ask of You what I do not deserve
498
وَأَنْتَ أَهْلُ التَّقْوٰى وَأَهْلُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ
wa-anta ahlut taqwā wa-ahlul maghfirah
And You are the Lord of righteousness and the Lord of forgiveness
499
فَاغْفِرْ لِيْ وَأَلْبِسْنِيْ مِنْ نَظَرِكَ ثَوْبًا يُغَطِّى عَلَيَّ التَّبِعَاتِ
faghfir lī wa-albisnī min naẓarika thawban yughaṭṭī `alayyat tabi`āt
So forgive me and clothe me with a look from You that covers my offenses
500
وَتَغْفِرُهَا لِيْ وَلَا أُطَالَبُ بِهَا
wataghfiruhā lī walā uṭālabu bihā
And forgives them so I will not be asked about them
501
إِنَّكَ ذُوْ مَنٍّ قَدِيمٍ
innaka dhū mannin qadīm
For You are the Possessor of ancient favor
502
وَصَفْحٍ عَظِيمٍ
waṣafḥin `aẓīm
And great forgiveness
503
وَتَجَاوُزٍ كَرِيمٍ
watajāwuzin karīm
And gracious overlooking
504
إِلٰهِيْ أَنْتَ الَّذِيْ تُفِيضُ سَيْبَكَ عَلَى مَنْ لَا يَسْأَلُكَ
ilāhī antal ladhī tufīḍu saybaka `alā man lā yas-aluk
My God, You are the One who causes Your bounty to flow upon those who do not ask You
505
وَعَلَى الْجَاحِدِيْنَ بِرُبُوبِيَّتِكَ
wa`alal jāḥidīna birubūbiyyatik
And upon those who deny Your Lordship
506
فَكَيْفَ سَيِّدِيْ بِمَنْ سَأَلَكَ وَأَيْقَنَ أَنَّ الْخَلْقَ لَكَ وَالْأَمْرَ إِلَيْكَ
fakayfa sayyidī biman sa-alaka wa-ayqana annal khalqa laka wal-amra ilayk
So how will it be, my Master, with one who asks You and is certain that creation is Yours and the command is to You
507
تَبَارَكْتَ وَتَعَالَيْتَ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
tabārakta wata`ālayta yā rabbal `ālamīn
Blessed and Exalted are You, O Lord of the worlds
508
سَيِّدِيْ عَبْدُكَ بِبَابِكَ أَقَامَتْهُ الْخَصَاصَةُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ
sayyidī `abduka bibābika aqāmat-hul khaṣāṣatu bayna yadayk
My Master, Your servant is at Your door; need has brought him to stand before You
509
يَقْرَعُ بَابَ إِحْسَانِكَ بِدُعَائِهِ
yaqra`u bāba iḥsānika bidu`ā-ih
He knocks at the door of Your favor with his prayer
510
فَلَا تُعْرِضْ بِوَجْهِكَ الْكَرِيمِ عَنِّي
falā tu`riḍ biwajhikal karīmi `annī
So do not turn Your noble face away from me
511
وَاقْبَلْ مِنِّي مَا أَقُولُ فَقَدْ دَعَوْتُ بِهٰذَا الدُّعَاءِ
waqbal minnī mā aqūlu faqad da`awtu bihādhad du`ā
And accept from me what I say, for I have called with this supplication
512
وَأَنَا أَرْجُوْ أَنْ لَاتَرُدَّنِيْ مَعْرِفَةً مِنِّي بِرَأْفَتِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ
wa-ana ar-jū an lātaruddanī ma`rifatan minnī bira-fatika waraḥmatik
And I hope that You will not turn me away, out of my knowledge of Your compassion and mercy
513
إِلٰهِيْ أَنْتَ الَّذِيْ لَا يُحْفِيكَ سَائِلٌ
ilāhī antal ladhī lā yuḥfīka sā-il
My God, You are the One whom no petitioner wearies
514
وَلَا يَنْقُصُكَ نَائِلٌ
walā yanquṣuka nā-il
And no recipient diminishes
515
أَنْتَ كَمَا تَقُولُ وَفَوْقَ مَا نَقُولُ
anta kamā taqūlu wafawqa mā naqūl
You are as You say and above what we say
516
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ صَبْرًا جَمِيلًا
allāhumma innī as-aluka ṣabran jamīlā
O Allah, I ask You for beautiful patience
517
وَفَرَجًا قَرِيبًا
wafarajan qarībā
And near relief
518
وَقَوْلًا صَادِقًا
waqawlan ṣādiqā
And truthful speech
519
وَأَجْرًا عَظِيمًا
wa-ajran `aẓīmā
And great reward
520
أَسْأَلُكَ يَا رَبِّ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ كُلِّهِ
as-aluka yā rabbi minal khayri kullih
I ask You, O Lord, for all goodness
521
مَا عَلِمْتُ مِنْهُ وَمَا لَمْ أَعْلَمْ
mā `alimtu minhu wamā lam a`lam
That which I know and that which I do not know
522
أَسْأَلُكَ اللَّهُمَّ مِنْ خَيْرِ مَا سَأَلَكَ مِنْهُ عِبَادُكَ الصَّالِحُونَ
as-alukallāhumma min khayri mā sa-alaka minhu `ibādukaṣ ṣāliḥūn
I ask You, O Allah, for the best of what Your righteous servants have asked of You
523
يَا خَيْرَ مَنْ سُئِلَ
yā khayra man su-il
O Best of those who are asked
524
وَأَجْوَدَ مَنْ أَعْطىٰ
wa-ajwada man a`ṭā
And Most Generous of those who give
525
أَعْطِنِيْ سُؤْلِيْ فِيْ نَفْسِيْ وَأَهْلِيْ
a`ṭinī su-lī fī nafsī wa-ahlī
Grant me my request for myself and my family
526
وَوَالِدَيَّ وَوُلْدِيْ
wawālidayya wawuldī
And my parents and my children
527
وَأَهْلِ حُزَانَتِيْ وَإِخْوَانِيْ فِيكَ
wa-ahli ḥuzānatī wa-ikhwānī fīk
And the people of my concern and my brothers in You
528
وَأَرْغِدْ عَيْشِيْ
wa-ar-ghid `ayshī
And make pleasant my life
529
وَأَظْهِرْ مُرُوَّتِيْ
wa-aẓhir muruwwatī
And manifest my nobility
530
وَأَصْلِحْ جَمِيعَ أَحْوَالِيْ
wa-aṣliḥ jamī`a aḥwālī
And improve all my circumstances
531
وَاجْعَلْنِيْ مِمَّنْ أَطَلْتَ عُمْرَهُ
waj`alnī mimman aṭalta `umrah
And make me among those whose lives You have lengthened
532
وَحَسَّنْتَ عَمَلَهُ
waḥassanta `amalah
And whose deeds You have made good
533
وَأَتْمَمْتَ عَلَيْهِ نِعْمَتَكَ وَرَضِيتَ عَنْهُ
wa-atmamta `alayhi ni`mataka waraḍīta `anh
And completed upon them Your blessings, and whom You are pleased with
534
وَأَحْيَيْتَهُ حَيَاةً طَيِّبَةً فِيْ أَدْوَمِ السُّرُورِ
wa-aḥyaytahu ḥayātan ṭayyibatan fī adwamis surūr
And granted a pleasant life in continuous joy
535
وَأَسْبَغِ الْكَرَامَةِ وَأَتَمِّ الْعَيْشِ
wa-asbaghil karāmati wa-atammil `aysh
And complete honor and perfect comfort
536
إِنَّكَ تَفْعَلُ مَا تَشَاءُ
innaka taf`alu mā tashā
Indeed, You do what You will
537
وَلَا يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَاءُ غَيْرُكَ
walā yaf`alu mā yashā-u ghayruk
And no one does what they will except You
538
اَللّٰهُمَّ خُصَّنِيْ مِنْكَ بِخَاصَّةِ ذِكْرِكَ
allāhumma khuṣṣanī minka bikhāṣṣati dhikrik
O Allah, distinguish me with the special quality of Your remembrance
539
وَلَا تَجْعَلْ شَيْئًا مِمَّا أَتَقَرَّبُ بِهِ
walā taj`al shay-an mimmā ataqarrabu bih
And do not make anything with which I seek nearness
540
فِيْ آنَاءِ اللَّيْلِ وَأَطْرَافِ النَّهَارِ
fī-ānā-il layli wa-aṭrāfin nahār
In the night hours and edges of the day
541
رِيَاءً وَلَا سُمْعَةً
riyā-an walā sum`ah
To be for showing off or for reputation
542
وَلَا أَشَرًا وَلَا بَطَرًا
walā asharan walā baṭarā
Or for exultation or pride
543
وَاجْعَلْنِيْ لَكَ مِنَ الْخَاشِعِينَ
waj`alnī laka minal khāshi`īn
And make me among those who humble themselves to You
544
اَللّٰهُمَّ أَعْطِنِيْ السَّعَةَ فِيْ الرِّزْقِ
allāhumma a`ṭinis sa`ata fir rizq
O Allah, give me abundance in provision
545
وَالْأَمْنَ فِيْ الْوَطَنِ
wal-amna fil waṭan
And security in my homeland
546
وَقُرَّةَ الْعَيْنِ فِيْ الْأَهْلِ وَالْمَالِ وَالْوَلَدِ
waqurratal `ayni fil ahli walmāli walwalad
And comfort of the eye in family, wealth, and children
547
وَالْمُقَامَ فِيْ نِعَمِكَ عِنْدِيْ
walmuqāma fī ni`amika `indī
And continuance of Your blessings with me
548
وَالصِّحَّةَ فِيْ الْجِسْمِ
waṣ ṣiḥḥata fil jism
And health in body
549
وَالْقُوَّةَ فِيْ الْبَدَنِ
walquwwata fil badan
And strength in physique
550
وَالسَّلامَةَ فِيْ الدِّينِ
was salāmata fid dīn
And safety in religion
551
وَاسْتَعْمِلْنِيْ بِطَاعَتِكَ وَطَاعَةِ رَسُولِكَ
wasta`milnī biṭā`atika waṭā`ati rasūlik
And use me in Your obedience and the obedience of Your Messenger
552
مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَى آلِهِ أَبَدًا مَا اسْتَعْمَرْتَنِي
muḥammadin ṣallallāhu `alayhi wa`alā-ālihi abadan masta`mar-tanī
Muhammad, may Allah bless him and his family, as long as You keep me alive
553
وَاجْعَلْنِيْ مِنْ أَوْفَرِ عِبَادِكَ عِنْدَكَ نَصِيبًا
waj`alnī min awfari `ibādika `indaka naṣībā
And make me among Your servants with the most abundant share
554
فِيْ كُلِّ خَيْرٍ أَنْزَلْتَهُ وَتُنْزِلُهُ فِيْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ
fī kulli khayrin anzaltahu watunziluhu fī shahri ramaḍān
In every good that You have sent down and will send down in the month of Ramadan
555
فِيْ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ
fī laylatil qadr
On the Night of Decree
556
وَمَا أَنْتَ مُنْزِلُهُ فِيْ كُلِّ سَنَةٍ مِنْ رَحْمَةٍ تَنْشُرُهَا
wamā anta munziluhu fī kulli sanatin min raḥmatin tanshuruhā
And what You send down every year of mercy that You spread
557
وَعَافِيَةٍ تُلْبِسُهَا
wa`āfiyatin tulbisuhā
And well-being that You bestow
558
وَبَلِيَّةٍ تَدْفَعُهَا
wabaliyyatin tadfa`uhā
And trials that You avert
559
وَحَسَنَاتٍ تَتَقَبَّلُهَا
waḥasanātin tataqabbaluhā
And good deeds that You accept
560
وَسَيِّئاتٍ تَتَجَاوَزُ عَنْهَا
wasayyi-ātin tatajāwazu `anhā
And sins that You overlook
561
وَارْزُقْنِيْ حَجَّ بَيْتِكَ الْحَرَامِ فِيْ عَامِنَا هٰذَا وَفِيْ كُلِّ عَامٍ
war-zuqnī ḥajja baytikal ḥarāmi fī `āminā hādhā wafī kulli `ām
And grant me the pilgrimage to Your Sacred House in this year and every year
562
وَارْزُقْنِيْ رِزْقًا وَاسِعًا مِنْ فَضْلِكَ الْوَاسِعِ
war-zuqnī rizqan wāsi`an min faḍlikal wāsi`
And provide me with vast provision from Your vast favor
563
وَاصْرِفْ عَنِّيْ يَا سَيِّدِيْ الْأَسْوَاءَ
waṣrif `annī yā sayyidil aswā
And avert from me, O my Master, the evil things
564
وَاقْضِ عَنِّيْ الدَّيْنَ وَالظُّلامَاتِ حَتَّىٰ لَا أَتَأَذَّىٰ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْهُ
waqḍi `annid dayna waẓ ẓulāmāti ḥattā lā ata-adhhā bishay-in minh
And discharge for me my debts and injustices so that I am not harmed by any of them
565
وَخُذْ عَنِّيْ بِأَسْمَاعِ وَأَبْصَارِ أَعْدَائِي وَحُسَّادِيْ وَالْبَاغِينَ عَلَيَّ
wakhudh `annī bi-asmā`i wa-abṣāri a`dā-ī waḥussādī walbāghīna `alayy
And take away from me the hearing and sight of my enemies and those who envy me and those who oppress me
566
وَانْصُرْنِيْ عَلَيْهِمْ
wanṣur-nī `alayhim
And help me against them
567
وَأَقِرَّ عَيْنِيْ وَفَرِّحْ قَلْبِيْ
wa-aqirra `aynī wafarriḥ qalbī
And comfort my eye and gladden my heart
568
وَاجْعَلْ لِيْ مِنْ هَمِّى وَكَرْبِىْ فَرَجًا وَمَخْرَجًا
waj`al lī min hammī wakar-bī farajan wamakhrajā
And give me relief and a way out from my worry and distress
569
وَاجْعَلْ مَنْ أَرَادَنِيْ بِسُوءٍ مِنْ جَمِيْعِ خَلْقِكَ تَحْتَ قَدَمَيِّ
waj`al man arādanī bisū-in min jamī`i khalqika taḥta qadamayy
And place whoever wishes me ill from all Your creation beneath my feet
570
وَاكْفِنِيْ شَرَّ الشَّيْطَانِ
wakfinī sharrash shayṭān
And protect me from the evil of Satan
571
وَشَرَّ السُّلْطَانِ
washarras sulṭān
And the evil of the ruler
572
وَسَيِّئاتِ عَمَلِيْ
wasayyi-āti `amalī
And the evil of my deeds
573
وَطَهِّرْنِيْ مِنَ الذُّنُوبِ كُلِّهَا
waṭahhir-nī minadh dhunūbi kullihā
And purify me from all sins
574
وَأَجِرْنِيْ مِنَ النَّارِ بِعَفْوِكَ
wa-ajir-nī minan nāri bi`afwik
And save me from the Fire by Your pardon
575
وَأَدْخِلْنِيْ الْجَنَّةَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ
wa-adkhilnil jannata biraḥmatik
And admit me to Paradise by Your mercy
576
وَزَوِّجْنِيْ مِنَ الْحُورِ الْعِينِ بِفَضْلِكَ
wazawwijnī minal ḥūril `īni bifaḍlik
And marry me to the fair ones with wide eyes by Your favor
577
وَأَلْحِقْنِيْ بِأَوْلِيَائِكَ الصَّالِحِيْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
wa-alḥiqnī bi-awliyā-ikaṣ ṣāliḥīna muḥammadin wa ālih
And join me with Your righteous friends Muhammad and his family
578
اَلْأَبْرَارِ الطَّيِّبِينَ الطَّاهِرِينَ الْأَخْيَارِ
al abrāriṭ ṭayyibīnaṭ ṭāhirīnal akhyār
The pious, the pure, the good, the excellent
579
صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَعَلَى أَجْسَادِهِمْ وَأَرْوَاحِهِمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
ṣalawātuka `alayhim wa`alā ajsādihim wa-ar-wāḥihim waraḥmatullāhi wabarakātuh
Your blessings be upon them and upon their bodies and souls, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings
580
إِلٰهِيْ وَسَيِّدِيْ وَعِزَّتِكَ وَجَلالِكَ
ilāhī wasayyidī wa`izzatika wajalālik
My God and my Master, by Your might and Your majesty
581
لَئِنْ طَالَبْتَنِيْ بِذُنُوبِىْ لَأُطَالِبَنَّكَ بِعَفْوِكَ
la-in ṭālabtanī bidhunūbī la-uṭālibannaka bi`afwik
If You were to demand me for my sins, I would demand You for Your pardon
582
وَلَئِنْ طَالَبْتَنِيْ بِلُؤْمِيْ لَأُطَالِبَنَّكَ بِكَرَمِكَ
wala-in ṭālabtanī bilu-mī la-uṭālibannaka bikaramik
And if You were to demand me for my meanness, I would demand You for Your generosity
583
وَلَئِنْ أَدْخَلْتَنِيْ النَّارَ لَأُخْبِرَنَّ أَهْلَ النَّارِ بِحُبِّي لَكَ
wala-in adkhaltanin nāra la-ukhbiranna ahlan nāri biḥubbī lak
And if You were to enter me into the Fire, I would inform its people of my love for You
584
إِلٰهِيْ وَسَيِّدِيْ إِنْ كُنْتَ لَاتَغْفِرُ إِلَّا لِأَوْلِيَائِكَ وَأَهْلِ طَاعَتِكَ
ilāhī wasayyidī in kunta lātaghfiru illā li-awliyā-ika wa-ahli ṭā`atik
My God and my Master, if You only forgive Your friends and people of obedience
585
فَإِلٰى مَنْ يَفْزَعُ الْمُذْنِبُونَ
fa-ilā man yafza`ul mudhnibūn
Then to whom will the sinners go
586
وَإِنْ كُنْتَ لَاتُكْرِمُ إِلَّا أَهْلَ الْوَفَاءِ بِكَ
wa-in kunta lātukrimu illā ahlal wafā-i bik
And if You only honor those loyal to You
587
فَبِمَنْ يَسْتَغِيثُ الْمُسِيئُونَ
fabiman yastaghīthul musī-ūn
Then by whom will the wrongdoers seek help
588
إِلٰهِيْ إِنْ أَدْخَلْتَنِيْ النَّارَ فَفِيْ ذٰلِكَ سُرُورُ عَدُوِّكَ
ilāhī in adkhaltanin nāra fafī dhālika surūru `aduwwik
My God, if You put me in the Fire, in that is the joy of Your enemy
589
وَإِنْ أَدْخَلْتَنِيْ الْجَنَّةَ فَفِيْ ذٰلِكَ سُرُورُ نَبِيِّكَ
wa-in adkhaltanil jannata fafī dhālika surūru nabiyyik
And if You admit me to Paradise, in that is the joy of Your Prophet
590
وَأَنَا وَاللَّهِ أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ سُرُورَ نَبِيِّكَ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ سُرُورِ عَدُوِّكَ
wa-ana wallāhi a`lamu anna surūra nabiyyika aḥabbu ilayka min surūri `aduwwik
And I know, by Allah, that the joy of Your Prophet is more beloved to You than the joy of Your enemy
591
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَمْلَأَ قَلْبِىْ حُبًّا لَكَ
allāhumma innī as-aluka an tamla-a qalbī ḥubban lak
O Allah, I ask You to fill my heart with love for You
592
وَخَشْيَةً مِنْكَ
wakhashyatan mink
And with fear of You
593
وَتَصْدِيقًا بِكِتَابِكَ
wataṣdīqan bikitābik
And with belief in Your Book
594
وَإِيمَانًا بِكَ
wa-īmānan bik
And with faith in You
595
وَفَرَقًا مِنْكَ
wafaraqan mink
And with dread of You
596
وَشَوْقًا إِلَيْكَ
washawqan ilayk
And with longing for You
597
يَا ذَا الْجَلالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ حَبِّبْ إِلَيَّ لِقَاءَكَ
yā dhal jalāli wal-ikrāmi ḥabbib ilayya liqā-ak
O Possessor of Majesty and Honor, make me love meeting You
598
وَأَحْبِبْ لِقَائِي
wa-aḥbib liqā-ī
And love my meeting
599
وَاجْعَلْ لِيْ فِيْ لِقَائِكَ الرَّاحَةَ وَالْفَرَجَ وَالْكَرَامَةَ
waj`al lī fī liqā-ikar rāḥata walfaraja walkarāmah
And make for me in meeting You comfort and relief and honor
600
اَللّٰهُمَّ أَلْحِقْنِيْ بِصَالِحِ مَنْ مَضىٰ
allāhumma alḥiqnī biṣāliḥi man maḍā
O Allah, join me with the righteous who have passed
601
وَاجْعَلْنِيْ مِنْ صَالِحِ مَنْ بَقِيَ وَخُذْ بِىْ سَبِيلَ الصَّالِحِيْنَ
waj`alnī min ṣāliḥi man baqiya wakhudh bī sabīlaṣ ṣāliḥīn
And place me among the righteous who remain, and lead me on the path of the righteous
602
وَأَعِنِّي عَلَى نَفْسِيْ بِمَا تُعِينُ بِهِ الصَّالِحِيْنَ عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ
wa-a`innī `alā nafsī bimā tu`īnu bihiṣ ṣāliḥīna `alā anfusihim
And aid me against myself with what You aid the righteous against themselves
603
وَاخْتِمْ عَمَلِيْ بِأَحْسَنِهِ
wakhtim `amalī bi-aḥsanih
And seal my deeds with the best of them
604
وَاجْعَلْ ثَوَابِىْ مِنْهُ الْجَنَّةَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ
waj`al thawābī minhul jannata biraḥmatik
And make my reward from it Paradise by Your mercy
605
وَأَعِنِّي عَلَى صَالِحِ مَا أَعْطَيْتَنِي
wa-a`innī `alā ṣāliḥi mā a`ṭaytanī
And help me improve what You have given me
606
وَثَبِّتْنِيْ يَا رَبِّ وَلَا تَرُدَّنِيْ فِيْ سُوءٍ اسْتَنْقَذْتَنِيْ مِنْهُ
wathabbitnī yā rabbi walā taruddanī fī sū-instanqadhtanī minh
And establish me, O Lord, and do not return me to an evil from which You have saved me
607
يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
yā rabbal `ālamīn
O Lord of the worlds
608
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ إِيمَانًا لَاأَجَلَ لَهُ دُوْنَ لِقَائِكَ
allāhumma innī as-aluka īmānan lā-ajala lahu dūna liqā-ik
O Allah, I ask You for faith that has no term until I meet You
609
أَحْيِنِيْ مَا أَحْيَيْتَنِيْ عَلَيْهِ
aḥyinī mā aḥyaytanī `alayh
Keep me alive as long as You keep me alive upon it
610
وَتَوَفَّنِيْ إِذَا تَوَفَّيْتَنِيْ عَلَيْهِ
watawaffanī idhā tawaffaytanī `alayh
And take my soul when You take it while I am upon it
611
وَابْعَثْنِيْ إِذَا بَعَثْتَنِيْ عَلَيْهِ
wab`athnī idhā ba`athtanī `alayh
And resurrect me when You resurrect me upon it
612
وَأَبْرِئْ قَلْبِىْ مِنَ الرِّيَاءِ وَالشَّكِّ وَالسُّمْعَةِ فِيْ دِينِكَ
wa-abri-qalbī minar riyā-i wash shakki was sum`ati fī dīnik
And purify my heart from hypocrisy, doubt, and reputation-seeking in Your religion
613
حَتَّىٰ يَكُونَ عَمَلِيْ خَالِصًا لَكَ
ḥattā yakūna `amalī khāliṣan lak
So that my work is solely for You
614
اَللّٰهُمَّ أَعْطِنِيْ بَصِيرَةً فِيْ دِينِكَ
allāhumma a`ṭinī baṣīratan fī dīnik
O Allah, give me insight in Your religion
615
وَفَهْمًا فِيْ حُكْمِكَ
wafahman fī ḥukmik
And understanding in Your judgment
616
وَفِقْهًا فِيْ عِلْمِكَ
wafiqhan fī `ilmik
And comprehension of Your knowledge
617
وَكِفْلَيْنِ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ
wakiflayni min raḥmatik
And a double portion of Your mercy
618
وَوَرَعًا يَحْجُزُنِيْ عَنْ مَعَاصِيكَ
wawara`an yaḥjuzunī `an ma`āṣīk
And piety that prevents me from disobeying You
619
وَبَيِّضْ وَجْهِيْ بِنُوْرِكَ
wabayyiḍ wajhī binūrik
And whiten my face with Your light
620
وَاجْعَلْ رَغْبَتِيْ فِيمَا عِنْدَكَ
waj`al raghbatī fīmā `indak
And make my desire for what is with You
621
وَتَوَفَّنِيْ فِيْ سَبِيلِكَ وَعَلَى مِلَّةِ رَسُولِكَ
watawaffanī fī sabīlika wa`alā millati rasūlik
And take my soul in Your path and upon the religion of Your Messenger
622
صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَى آلِهِ
ṣallallāhu `alayhi wa`alā-ālih
May Allah bless him and his family
623
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكَسَلِ وَالْفَشَلِ
allāhumma innī a`ūdhu bika minal kasali walfashal
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from laziness and failure
624
وَالْهَمِّ وَالْجُبْنِ وَالْبُخْلِ
walhammi waljubni walbukhl
And from worry, cowardice, and miserliness
625
وَالْغَفْلَةِ وَالْقَسْوَةِ وَالْمَسْكَنَةِ
walghaflati walqaswati walmaskanah
And from heedlessness, hardheartedness, and neediness
626
وَالْفَقْرِ وَالْفَاقَةِ
walfaqri walfāqah
And from poverty and destitution
627
وَكُلِّ بَلِيَّةٍ وَالْفَوَاحِشِ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ
wakulli baliyyatin walfawāḥishi mā ẓahara minhā wamā baṭan
And from every affliction and from indecencies, what is apparent of them and what is hidden
628
وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ نَفْسٍ لَاتَقْنَعُ
wa-a`ūdhu bika min nafsin lātaqna`
And I seek refuge in You from a soul that is not satisfied
629
وَبَطْنٍ لَايَشْبَعُ
wabaṭnin lāyashba`
And a stomach that is not filled
630
وَقَلْبٍ لَايَخْشَعُ
waqalbin lāyakhsha`
And a heart that does not fear
631
وَدُعَاءٍ لَايُسْمَعُ
wadu`ā-in lāyusma`
And a prayer that is not heard
632
وَعَمَلٍ لَايَنْفَعُ
wa`amalin lāyanfa`
And a deed that does not benefit
633
وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ يَا رَبِّ عَلَى نَفْسِيْ وَدِيْنِيْ وَمَالِيْ
wa-a`ūdhu bika yā rabbi `alā nafsī wadīnī wamālī
And I seek refuge with You, O Lord, for myself and my religion and my wealth
634
وَعَلَى جَمِيْعِ مَا رَزَقْتَنِيْ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ
wa`alā jamī`i mā razaqtanī minash shayṭānir rajīm
And for all that You have provided me, from the accursed Satan
635
إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
innaka antas samī`ul `alīm
Indeed, You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing
636
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنَّهُ لَايُجِيرُنِيْ مِنْكَ أَحَدٌ
allāhumma innahu lāyujīrunī minka aḥad
O Allah, indeed no one can protect me from You
637
وَلَا أَجِدُ مِنْ دُونِكَ مُلْتَحَدًا
walā ajidu min dūnika multaḥadā
And I cannot find any refuge besides You
638
فَلَا تَجْعَلْ نَفْسِيْ فِيْ شَيْءٍ مِنْ عَذَابِكَ
falā taj`al nafsī fī shay-in min `adhābik
So do not place my soul in any of Your punishments
639
وَلَا تَرُدَّنِيْ بِهَلَكَةٍ
walā taruddanī bihalakah
And do not return me to destruction
640
وَلَا تَرُدَّنِيْ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
walā taruddanī bi`adhābin alīm
And do not return me to painful torment
641
اَللّٰهُمَّ تَقَبَّلْ مِنِّي
allāhumma taqabbal minnī
O Allah, accept from me
642
وَأَعْلِ ذِكْرِيْ
wa-a`li dhikrī
And elevate my remembrance
643
وَارْفَعْ دَرَجَتِيْ
war-fa` darajatī
And raise my rank
644
وَحُطَّ وِزْرِيْ
waḥuṭṭa wizrī
And remove my burden
645
وَلَا تَذْكُرْنِيْ بِخَطِيئَتِيْ
walā tadhkur-nī bikhaṭī-atī
And do not mention me for my sin
646
وَاجْعَلْ ثَوَابَ مَجْلِسِي
waj`al thawāba majlisī
And make the reward of my gathering
647
وَثَوَابَ مَنْطِقِيْ
wathawāba manṭiqī
And the reward of my speech
648
وَثَوَابَ دُعَائِي رِضَاكَ وَالْجَنَّةَ
wathawāba du`ā-ī riḍāka waljannah
And the reward of my supplication Your pleasure and Paradise
649
وَأَعْطِنِيْ يَا رَبِّ جَمِيعَ مَا سَأَلْتُكَ وَزِدْنِيْ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ
wa-a`ṭinī yā rabbi jamī`a mā sa-altuka wazidnī min faḍlik
And grant me, O Lord, all that I have asked of You and increase me from Your favor
650
إِنِّي إِلَيْكَ رَاغِبٌ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
innī ilayka rāghibun yā rabbal `ālamīn
I am earnestly desiring You, O Lord of the worlds
651
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنَّكَ أَنْزَلْتَ فِيْ كِتَابِكَ أَنْ نَعْفُوَ عَمَّنْ ظَلَمَنَا
allāhumma innaka anzalta fī kitābika an na`fuwa `amman ẓalamanā
O Allah, You have revealed in Your Book that we should forgive those who wrong us
652
وَقَدْ ظَلَمْنَا أَنْفُسَنَا فَاعْفُ عَنَّا فَإِنَّكَ أَوْلىٰ بِذٰلِكَ مِنَّا
waqad ẓalamnā anfusanā fa`fu `annā fa-innaka awlā bidhālika minnā
And we have wronged ourselves, so forgive us, for You are more worthy of that than we are
653
وَأَمَرْتَنَا أَنْ لَانَرُدَّ سَائِلًا عَنْ أَبْوَابِنَا
wa-amar-tanā an lānarudda sā-ilan `an abwābinā
And You commanded us not to turn away any beggar from our doors
654
وَقَدْ جِئْتُكَ سَائِلًا فَلَا تَرُدَّنِيْ إِلَّا بِقَضَاءِ حَاجَتِيْ
waqad ji-tuka sā-ilan falā taruddanī illā biqaḍā-i ḥājatī
And I have come to You as a beggar, so do not turn me away except with the fulfillment of my need
655
وَأَمَرْتَنَا بِالْإِحْسَانِ إِلٰى مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُنَا
wa-amar-tanā bil iḥsāni ilā mā malakat aymānunā
And You commanded us to treat well those whom our right hands possess
656
وَنَحْنُ أَرِقَّاؤُكَ فَأَعْتِقْ رِقَابَنَا مِنَ النَّارِ
wanaḥnu ariqqa-uka fa-a`tiq riqābanā minan nār
And we are Your slaves, so free our necks from the Fire
657
يَا مَفْزَعِيْ عِنْدَ كُرْبَتِيْ
yā mafza`ī `inda kur-batī
O my refuge in my distress
658
وَيَا غَوْثِيْ عِنْدَ شِدَّتِيْ
wayā ghawthī `inda shiddatī
And my relief in my hardship
659
إِلَيْكَ فَزِعْتُ
ilayka fazi`t
To You I have fled
660
وَبِكَ اسْتَغَثْتُ وَلُذْتُ
wabikastaghathtu waludht
And with You I have sought help and taken refuge
661
لَاأَلُوذُ بِسِوَاكَ
lā-alūdhu bisiwāk
I do not seek refuge with anyone but You
662
وَلَا أَطْلُبُ الْفَرَجَ إِلَّا مِنْكَ
walā aṭlubul faraja illā mink
And I do not seek relief except from You
663
فَأَغِثْنِيْ وَفَرِّجْ عَنِّي
fa-aghithnī wafarrij `annī
So help me and relieve me
664
يَا مَنْ يَقْبَلُ الْيَسِيرَ وَيَعْفُوْ عَنِ الْكَثِيرِ
yā man yaqbalul yasīra waya`fū `anil kathīr
O You who accept little and pardon much
665
اِقْبَلْ مِنِّي الْيَسِيرَ وَاعْفُ عَنِّيْ الْكَثِيرَ
iqbal minnil yasīra wa`fu `annil kathīr
Accept from me the little and pardon from me the much
666
إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الرَّحِيمُ الْغَفُورُ
innaka antar raḥīmul ghafūr
Indeed, You are the Merciful, the Forgiving
667
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ إِيمَانًا تُبَاشِرُ بِهِ قَلْبِيْ
allāhumma innī as-aluka īmānan tubāshiru bihi qalbī
O Allah, I ask You for faith that embraces my heart
668
وَيَقِينًا صَادِقًا حَتَّىٰ أَعْلَمَ أَنَّهُ لَنْ يُصِيبَنِيْ إِلَّا مَا كَتَبْتَ لِيْ
wayaqīnan ṣādiqan ḥattā a`lama annahu lan yuṣībanī illā mā katabta lī
And truthful certainty so that I know nothing will befall me except what You have decreed for me
669
وَرَضِّنِيْ مِنَ الْعَيْشِ بِمَا قَسَمْتَ لِيْ
waraḍḍinī minal `ayshi bimā qasamta lī
And make me content with the life You have apportioned for me
670
يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ
yā ar-ḥamar rāḥimīn
O Most Merciful of the merciful
