بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismillāhir raḥmānir raḥīm
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
1
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّيْ اَمْسَيْتُ لَكَ عَبْدًا دَاخِرًا
allāhumma innī amsaytu laka `abdan dākhirā
O Allah, I have come to this evening as Your humble servant
2
لَا اَمْلِكُ لِنَفْسِيْ نَفْعًا وَلَا ضَرًّا
lā amliku linafsī naf`an walā ḍarrā
I do not possess any power to benefit or harm myself
3
وَلَا اَصْرِفُ عَنْهَا سُوْءً
walā aṣrifu `anhā sū-ā
Nor can I avert any evil from myself
4
اَشْهَدُ بِذٰلِكَ عَلَى نَفْسِي
ash-hadu bidhālika `alā nafsī
I bear witness to this against myself
5
وَاَعْتَرِفُ لَكَ بِضَعْفِ قُوَّتِيْ وَقِلَّةِ حِيْلَتِي
wa-a`tarifu laka biḍa`fi quwwatī waqillati ḥīlatī
And I confess to You my weak strength and limited resources
6
فَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
faṣalli `alā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad
So send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
7
وَاَنْجِزْ لِيْ مَا وَعَدْتَنِي
wa-anjiz lī mā wa`adtanī
And fulfill for me what You have promised me
8
وَجَمِيْعَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ
wajamī`al mu-minīna walmu-mināt
And all believing men and believing women
9
مِنَ الْمَغْفِرَةِ فِيْ هٰذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ
minal maghfirati fī hādhihil laylah
Of forgiveness on this night
10
وَاَتْمِمْ عَلَيَّ مَا آتَيْتَنِي
wa-atmim `alayya mā-ātaytanī
And complete upon me what You have granted me
11
فَإِنِّيْ عَبْدُكَ الْمِسْكِيْنُ الْمُسْتَكِيْنُ
fa-innī `abdukal miskīnul mustakīn
For I am Your poor and humble servant
12
اَلضَّعِيْفُ الْفَقِيْرُ الْمَهِيْنُ
aḍ ḍa`īful faqīrul mahīn
The weak, the needy, the lowly
13
اَللَّهُمَّ لَا تَجْعَلْنِيْ نَاسِيًا لِذِكْرِكَ فِيْمَا اَوْلَيْتَنِي
allāhumma lā taj`alnī nāsiyan lidhikrika fīmā awlaytanī
O Allah, do not make me forgetful of Your remembrance in what You have entrusted me with
14
وَلَا غَافِلًا لِإِحْسَانِكَ فِيْمَا اَعْطَيْتَنِي
walā ghāfilan li-iḥsānika fīmā a`ṭaytanī
Nor heedless of Your favors in what You have given me
15
وَلَا آيِسًا مِنْ إِجَابَتِكَ وَإِنْ اَبْطَأَتْ عَنِّي
walā-āyisan min ijābatika wa-in abṭa-at `annī
Nor despairing of Your response even if it is delayed from me
16
فِيْ سَرَّاءِ اَوْ ضَرَّاءِ
fī sarrā-i aw ḍarrā
In ease or hardship
17
اَوْ شِدَّةٍ اَوْ رَخَاءٍ
aw shiddatin aw rakha
In difficulty or comfort
18
اَوْ عَافِيَةٍ اَوْ بَلاءٍ
aw `āfiyatin aw bala
In well-being or affliction
19
اَوْ بُؤْسٍ اَوْ نَعْمَاءَ
aw bu-sin aw na`mā
In misery or blessing
20
إِنَّكَ سَمِيْعُ الدُّعَاءِ
innaka samī`ud du`ā
Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplications
